How annoying will it be if Kingdom Hearts 3 has to connect to SE's servers, like Hitman and Just Cause?

Imagine, you have anticipated this day. This glorious day, whereby the disc for Kingdom Hearts 3 is now inserted into your PS4. You start the game, and oh boy, the feels, the music. Now you are on the cusp of feelingas though your life is complete, but oh no... The game attempts a server connection, and your euphoria completely fades away, while the attempt at connecting your system to the server freezes to the point where the game crashes....

 

 

In all seriousness, how would you guys and girls feel about this if it were to occur? Personally, I would hate it. I am tired of single player games trying to include online functionalities that only hinder the full experience of the game I could be having.

I'll mash the Start Game button for 30 mins, browse the web, get mad, load up FFXV/whatever half assed Call of Duty game to satisfy me and call it a day... Wait, why would Kingdumb Hartz Tree need servers? Topics like these make me cringe...

Eh, it'll be what it'll be I guess. Personally I'm all for there being Online Multiplayer experiences in KH3, and for that to happen there DOES have to be server connections. However I have a little more faith in how SE's severs would handle such a task, and in case there is a problem, well that's why the Japanese version releases first am I right? Odds are most issues should be taken care of by the English release, but even then I doubt there will be that many problems.

I just played Just Cause 3 a minute ago and had these connection issues. It's really frustrating.

i'd hate it. imagine if there was a little banner that scrolled across the bottom of the main menu telling you to go to the SE website for the latest KH news and info.

 

that'd kill any sort of emotion Dearly Beloved would be trying to convey.

Not every square game makes you do that though,haven't seen a single square RPG do that. It wouldn't bother me either because I like knowing the updates.

Square Enix Japan does not often include such a mandatory use of their servers. They are pretty traditional when it comes to their games, so I would not think this would be an issue to ever happen. If it did happen though I would be both shocked and pissed.
