Will we see a return of Master Eraqus?

Exactly as I say. No one really dies off permanently. They just "disappear" for a bit and then reappear later due to... "Reasons."

you mean "Nomura always finds a way to bring dead important people back" this is the right statement, but you can't deny the existence of death in the KH universe (in fact some of the Disney villain died during the story)

In all seriousness, I'm neutral on his return. He can be resurrected or stay dead. I don't dislike him, just think his story had a good ending.

What would really be the point? KH3 is supposed to be a dark game and If every single person returns then that would be such an anti climax. I mean I'm honest when I say I don't understand how/why Xion will return other than for fan demand. I'd rather have him in his younger form that way we can flesh the characters of both Eraqus and Xehanort out in a plausible way. I mean looking towards the future; what purpose would having a resurrected Eraqus serve?

Now, before you read this topic and instantly start typing away "We've already seen Eraqus in the trailers." No. I don't mean Young Eraqus. I mean MASTER Eraqus, his incarnation from Birth by Sleep.

 

So with that done with, let's discuss. Could there possibly be a way for us to see a return of Master Eraqus in Kingdom Hearts III? I think it is highly plausible that we will see him in some form or another, because as we know, from Blank Points, Eraqus is inside the heart of Terra, along with Terra himself, and Xehanort. I don't think we will be able to see a physical manifestation of Master Eraqus, unless it was the Armour of the Master, much like Terra's Lingering Will. 

 

I for one would honestly like to see Master Eraqus return, he would be a good plot stimulus if Terra turns out to be one of the 7 Lights (Which I highly doubt considering Terranort is most likely a Darkness), but what do you guys think, do you think it's possible for Eraqus to return as Master Eraqus in KHIII?

 

Yeah, I definitely think Eraqus is returning, along with Terra. Terra-Xehanort extracted his heart with his Keyblade, which created his Heartless and his Nobody. A few things could've happened when he did this. The first thing that could've happened is that simply Terra and Eraqus' hearts were set free as well, and all that needs to happen to get them to return is to destroy their Heartless and Nobodies (Probably would also have to defeat Lingering Will). Another thing that could've happened is that Terra or Eraqus' hearts could've gone inside of Xemnas, just like how Ven's heart went inside of Roxas. Since there aren't many similarities between Eraqus and Xemnas, I doubt Eraqus' heart went inside of Xemnas, so Eraqus' heart is most likely freed and all we have to do is defeat his Heartless and Nobody, but I'm pretty certain that Terra's Heart went inside of Xemnas, because Xemnas every now and then would go into the Chamber of Repose and speak with Aqua's Keyblade Armor, calling it "friend". So yeah, When Sora and Riku defeated Xemnas in KH2, Terra's heart and his body probably went to go merge with Lingering Will and he became whole again, and we'll have to find him in KH3 or something.
