Since the reveal of the Big Hero 6 TV series hitting our TV screens on Disney X-D sometime in 2017, I have begun to wonder whether the TV series will involve the plot of Kingdom Hearts III in any way. Since the TV series and the game will both be taking place after the events of the film do you think they may incorporate what is happening in the TV series with the events of Kingdom Hearts III? Do you believe they will both have completely different stories; or that Kingdom Hearts III may even be out before the start of the TV show? Another viable option is that the series may have ended by the time the game releases so will Kingdom Hearts III then be a sequel to the show, or perhaps extend the TV shows plot further to give premise for a second series? If Disney does make a sequel to Big Hero 6 could they incorporate what happens in Kingdom Hearts III and make it cannon in the next film? Or even a small mention of Sora in the sequel would be cool! I am very excited for Big Hero 6's TV series as it is one of my favourite and in my opinion, the coolest Disney film of all time. I'm interested to get your thoughts and speculation on this since Big Hero 6 was one of the most requested films to be in the game. I can't wait to see how Big Hero 6's plot continues due to the TV series and Kingdom Hearts III! I'm so excited! Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted March 4, 2016 Id spazz out if KH3 was cannon to Big Hero 6. That'd be a dream come true. But I doubt that it'll happen because of the makers and whatnot. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted March 4, 2016 (edited) Most likely, no. They never did that with the other Disney movies that had a tv series so I doubt they'll follow suit here. I mean for one thing they would have work with Square on that a lot, and at that point they may as well just make their own KH show, which they might not ever try again. If anything it is likely that while they might share some ideas between each other, the KH version and X-D version will likely stay separate and in different universes as most Disney worlds in KH tend to be. That's not to say that we won't see any parallels, like maybe the idea of the original Baymax coming back might be touched upon in the show, or maybe if the show is released first they might include a character or two who are featured in that. But I have a feeling that they are going to want to stick to the movie's iconography for KH a bit more than whatever new setups the show has, but who knows? Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted March 4, 2016 i doubt it. it seems like the Big Hero 6 plot for KH3 could be slipped in after the events of BH6 and before the tv show with ease. no reason for them to establish a concrete connection between KH and BH6. The only connection the TV series will have is being a sequel/spin-off to the first movie. Everything that will happen in Kingdom Hearts 3 that involves Big Hero 6 will be non-canon. Thanks for this bit of news, Mr. Snow! And well, on to the topic at hand, I think it'd be very interesting if the series were to incorporate Kingdom Hearts in some way! But this may not happen since not everyone watches TV, and not everyone has cable television, ya know? So it's kind of a so-so, maybe situation here! It would be cool if the series connected with Kingdom Hearts III!
