As Akash was picked up by the transport the one driving threw him an envelope.

"Your next assignment. As per contract you'll be receiving education as a huntsman at Beacon academy." Akash gave a nod and sat at the far back of the plane.

"Drop-off  directly next to the hangar. No need to stop." The driver gave a slight sarcastic laugh and put engines to full throttle. "Vale ..." Thought the soon to be huntsman. His current profession involved plenty of travel but ever since the incident that a few years ago his employers were cautious of the place. But finally it's behind him and so are his employers. It will be interesting to see if he could still socialize but then again huntsman were always a bit of an oddity he was told. He did receive explicit not orders but more suggestions at this point not to use his semblance and instead rely on his regular skills. How tedious, but he didn't argue as there would be questions as to why he can control it so well and saying that he just happened to be a prodigy or something would poorly influence his social standing in terms of exposure.

His way led him to the main hall and he seemed to be the first. He let out a sigh and leaned against one of the pillars in the main hall where Ozpin would give the welcoming speech. Every once in a while he would pass around a glare at nothing in particular then pull down his fedora to cover his eyes. Akash felt his eyes close as he began slipping into a meditation-like state.

- Iridia Clearwater, accompanied by her mom Olivine and cousin Sapphira Clearwater -

Iridia counted the alabaster steps as she approached the entrance to the academy, brooding with the best pouting face she could muster.  Her mother, Olivine Clearwater, never really did like complaints, and when Iridia started having her doubts about this colossal, alien place where so much history, both positive and negative, had happened she received a slap on the back of the head.  She could feel the small rise of a bump, but she was embarrassed by the situation that not only happened in front of an unknown public but her cousin as well.

"Now remember, kids, eyes centred, backs straight, and speak eloquently on your first day," spoke her mother with tight-lipped eloquence.  "You want to make the best impressions you can with people.  It will be counted toward you in the end to make new friends."

Iridia looked up at her mother, a tall, slender, and wonderfully dressed lady in green satin Huntress gear.  Olivine did not look back for the moment, desirous to keep up appearances for those around her.  Iridia followed suit.

As they approached the main building, the girl bounced toward the panel doors and tugged them open, allowing her mother and cousin inside as well as a few others before she too slipped in.  She paused in awe, looking all around her with wild interest,  She took in the crowd of individuals, the incredible hall that housed them, and the elaborate sensations of excitement, tense anxiety, and consistent conversation.  The one sight that caught her eye the most was a man in red and black leaning against a pillar, either bored or tired.  A smile burbled to her lips; it comforted her that not everybody was overly excited or anxious as she was.

"Come along, Iridia!" barked her mother.

"Coming!" she answered with newfound energy, weaving her way around people and eventually making it back.

"Now, I want you two to mingle and enjoy yourselves.  Be on your best behaviour, remember what I told you, and go make some acquaintances.  More importantly, I want you both to know that I love you."

Iridia glanced up in surprise and caught a genuine smile from her mother, a rare thing in public and never a rare thing in private.  They were close, the two of them, and she shared a smile back.

"I love you too, Mom.  Promise me you'll come and visit us after your mission, okay?" she pleaded.

"I promise, though you need not worry about that," her mom replied, ruffling Iridia's hair.  "Your mom's filled with the same tough stuff as you are.  Now go have fun.  You too, Sapphira."

Glowing with eagerness, Iridia dove into the crowd.  She knew from the bottom of her heart that she was going to have fun today, no matter how things resulted with future aquaintances.

Edit:  Took care of a misspelling that was getting on my nerves.

That was the day. The first day at Beacon Academy and the most important one as well.

Starr could not afford to mess this day up or else he would get labeled as "that guy" and then approaching others would be a lot harder. All he had to do for the day was play it cool, look outgoing and talkative, approach lots of people, come off as a social butterfly and secure a student life away from solitude and depression.

Starr walked into the open hall along with all the others students with his head held up high and filled with confidence, ready to approach the first person he was going to lay eyes on. At first nobody really stood out to him but he then noticed a couple of girls which looked alike and were probably sisters. Since they had blue hair and he had blue hair, maybe there was some kind of connection. However, there were two of them together and they were probably going to be harder to approach. He scouted the area once more and then noticed a guy with a fedora dressed in red and black, leening on one of the pillars. He was alone and made for an easier confrontation. The girls, however, looked more approachable and he assumed they were a lot more willing to chat, unlike the lone figure which stayed distant from the rest of the students. Then again, if he played his cards right then he would gain a mysterious and interesting person to talk to, though it would be extremely hard trying to do small talk with him.

Unable to choose, he decided to look around, hoping to find a better candidate.

Dominic made his way through the front of the school, he has with him a military grade satchel that he took from his house that was his fathers with everything in there he would need. He approached the fountain and looked at the statue, he clinches his fists and continues to walk into the school. He opened the door to the main hall where all the students were supposed to gather for orientation, the first thing he noticed was all the students, he then looked at each one individually. He noticed there were a mix between humans and faunus, he completely ignored the faunuses as if they weren't even there. He decided to sit on the floor with his bag next to him and inspect his weapons, cleaning and sharpening them to make sure they were in tip top shape.

Royce arrived at Beacon and strutted threw the crowd baring great confidence and it was completely noticeable in the way walked, the expression on his face and the way he held himself erect and keep his head up. When he walked over to main hall he saw another girl bounced towards the entrance holding it open for several people, including himself. As he entered he tilted his hat as a quick "thank you" gesture to the young lady.

Now inside the main hall he began to observe the room and the other students. Royce was always the observant type, calculating odds of things happen and what would be his best approach to receiving an outcome he would be satisfied with. Royce simply turned right and leaned on the wall next to the door, just watching everything.

Silently Sapphira Clearwater followed behind her Aunt Olivine and cousin, not all too desirous to receive the negative attention that Iridia was attracting.  Her younger cousin was fun and bubbly, and she considered her more of a sister than a cousin.  She was, however, slightly reserved about her aunt.  While Aunt Olivine was kind and treated her with love, she did have a very harsh demeanor about her, heavily contrasting with Sapphira's own mother and the way she was raised.  Her mother was wild, reckless, tomboyish, and carefree, something that her father adored and Sapphira had adopted.  It was no surprise that Sapphira likely drove her aunt crazy with her behavior, though her uncle really never said anything.

Sapphira was both excited and nervous about attending the academy.  She had always wanted to be a huntress, but after he father died she felt that she had to stay home with her siblings and help her mom.  This was finally her chance to accomplish her dreams, even though she would likely be older than the rest of her classmates.  Most students started their education far earlier than herself, though she figured it would be better to start later than never.

When her cousin held the doors open for them she entered, staring around in almost as much awe as Iridia.  The place was huge, beautiful, and filled with splendor as far as the eye could meet.  Yes, she could get used to living here, so long as she made some friends.

Behind them Aunt Olivine was bidding her farewells, and it caught Sapphira by mild surprise that her aunt was displaying so much sincerity and affection in public.  She whirled around on heel and wrapped her arms tightly around her aunt's neck.  "Love you, too, Aunt Olivine," she murmured into her shoulder.  "We'll try to be good, but no promises with Iridia here.  You know how she loves to blow bubbles in her chocolate milk."  She threw Iridia a playful grin before stepping away before she got hurt by that statement.

There were many people surrounding them already, likely future students.  Sapphira squinted and leaned forward, trying to get a better look at them.  Some seemed excited, nervous, intimidated, or bored, much like the young man sharpening his weapons in the corner.  He seemed all alone, as if he knew no one at the academy, and gauging how he preferred solitude rather than socialization already it looked like he may have difficulty making friends.  Much like herself, if she didn't take the first initiative.

Her shadow hovered over his weapon as Sapphira approached, placing a hand on her hip as she offered a smile down at him.  "Hey, interesting weapon you've got there!  Is that what you specialize in?"--she knelt down so that she was more properly at eye-level with Dominic, extending a hand--"I'm Sapphira, by the way.  What's your name?"

Adri stared up at the bulk of Beacon Academy. She had seen it from afar before, but never really considered it a place. It was more of a land mark then a physical place you actually went to. But now she was going to be living there. It would be interesting to watch the other students. Even after living with her guardian family for 8 years, she still wasn't that use to dealing with people her own age.

A clearing of a throat behind her reminded Adri that she still had somethings to wrap up. She turned and smiled at the prim and proper butler that stood behind her, holding her duffle by one hand while the other was behind his back.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Williams sniffed.

Adri nodded, then looked back at it. Another throat clearing told her that more was expected of her.

"Yes, it is." She replied with a sigh.

"And I'm certain you will behave yourself and make many friends." The butler continued stiffly.

Smiling, Adri looked back at Williams.

"Order or, um, wish?" She asked.

Williams' face softened and a small smile appeared.

"A bit of both." He admitted.

He offered Adri her duffle, which she took and slung over her shoulder. She then leaned in and gave Williams a tight hug, which he returned. While she loved her Guardian family, it was their butler that had given her the most support and taught her how to use her semblance properly.

"Good luck, kitten." Williams murmured.

"Don't need it." Adri answered.

They ended their embrace, stepping back and looking at each other.

"I've got skills." The new student of Beacon said proudly.

Williams beamed.

"Attagirl." He said proudly.

With one last wave, Williams returned to the car while Adri marched into Beacon and a new chapter in her life.

Dominic looked up to see Sapphire looming over him. He nodded while blushing a bit at how beautiful she was, he then followed her eyes as she knelt down. He used his semblance to spell out his name Dominic out of string and forced a smile.

- Olivine Clearwater -

Olivine hugged Sapphira back, a little awkwardly in front of so many people but still caringly.  However, her lips pursed at hearing about Iridia's blowing bubbles in her milk, but before she could slap Sapphira upside the head they were separated by a good few paces.  Additionally, she did not want to make a scene, and she curbed her natural instinct to thwack younger loved ones.

"Take care, you two.  I'll be back shortly . . . I hope," she uttered quietly as Sapphira slipped into the crowd, taking out a picture of a young Iridia from her pocket.  A sigh escaped her.  "They grow up so fast in the wrongest of ways . . . and I do have to tell Iridia to stop that childishness before she makes a fool of herself."

Casting one final glance, she turned to leave the school behind her, passing Adrianna by and giving the girl a curious look.  It was still a new thing to her to see so many Faunus around.

- Iridia Clearwater -

Iridia bounced about, weaving this way and that through the crowds like a beast amidst tall grass.  She kept her eyes open and her ears more so, hoping anyone would catch notice to her presence, but it was as though she were invisible.  Things were not working as is, so she decided to shift gears.  It would certainly take more than running into people to--

"Wah!" she uttered in surprise, bumping into a fellow student and landing firmly on her rump.  She had a lot to work on, the most prominent one at the moment being coordination.  She rose quickly to her feet, rushed to the person's side, and quickly exclaimed a stream of apologies.  "I'm sorry!  I'm sorry!  I'm so sorry!  You're not hurt, I hope?" she asked, stretching out her hand to assist the person up.

The girl with the blue hair Starr had been looking out for had bumbed into him, giving him the chance to show off how cool he was and introduce himself without appearing to creepy or odd.

The girl seemed fun and playful to be around and since he too was hyperactive most of the time, maybe she was the kind of person he wanted to hang out with. It would also be easier to open a conversation with her.

And so, he mustered all of his courage and talked.

"No, it's fine. Maybe I should had been more careful in here. You never know when a huntress might knock you down." He joked as he accepted her hand, allowing himself to be helped up. "I'm Starr, by the way. Nice to meet you."

- Iridia Clearwater -

Iridia felt the pressure of stares from the surrounding students slowly dissolve, and she breathed a sigh of relief as she helped him up.

"Iridia Clearwater," she returned, a wisp of a smile crossing her face.  "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Starr, even if the reason are not the best, and I'm not a Huntress . . . yet . . . though I guess you know that since I'm here."

A nervous chuckle escaped her before she adjusted herself, correcting her posture as her mother would have told her.  Her eyes refused to remain level with his, though, and instead her gaze drifted to the top of his head.

"Blue hair?  How cool!" she uttered with an attempted sound of studious interest, though it came out more akin to a squeal.  "I wonder if we're distant cousins or something like that.  What's your last name?"

His eyes went wide as he was tossed the question but then realized that her hair where a lighter said of blue and his were a lot darker, which made the the two being related a rather unlikely situation.

"Haha, I doubt it since my hair is way darker but, just in case, my last name is...Dandelion." He replied but was rather hesitant to offer his last name, of fear he might get recognized. His family wasn't too famous but a selected few were aware of their riches and businesses. Faltering aside, he concluded that she needed to know his last name if they were going to be friends.

The conversation seemed to be going well so far but he couldn't help but feel that Iridia was trying too hard for some reason and the way she acted reminded him of himself when he was younger. Acting in proper form, and in a careful yet grandiose kind of way. The idea of them actually being related resurfaced. "So, what's your last name, if I may ask?"

Royce-

Royce, still propped up against the wall and observing the premises, decided to talk to the blue maned warriors who were engaged in conversation. As he approached the two he started with, "Now what are the odds that two with blue hair will be united like this." He knew he had to eventually needed to talk to someone and they seemed easy to start with considering there current conversation was moving so well. He also thought about how he was interrupting them be he decided to take the chance of accidently making some new enemies.

Shade-

Shade Rowlen finally arrived at Beacon. He was amazed by the size of the academy and quantity of students. He then walked inside and discovered that several other people were already engaging conversation. "I'll just keep to myself." He mumbled and went off to sit in a corner and wait for the headmaster to appear.

Akash raised his fedora for a moment to see what was taking place around him. There seemed to be a few blue haired people chatting and the others seemed to be socializing as well. Aside from the one who just entered that is. In regards to this Akash passed around a stern faced glare to everyone sizing them up if perhaps a few would be potential threats.

?Easy now ... Nobody here knows you. They won't bother you and you'll only have to deal with three.' He thought o himself carefully avoiding any thoughts that might cause nervousness. He did however make a slight smirk when he saw Sapphira.

'That's not something you see every day. What was that the boss used to say? Women that look good with blue hair are one in a existence.' He thought to himself again still not flinching. It was tempting for him to try and take a shot at Ozpin but the man had yet to show and truth be told he knew he'd loose. One hand made it's way to his pocket from which he pulled out a old fashioned schrool. To occupy himself he used it to scan around giving him random information about the ones he's looking at. The blue haired one in particular was of note. He took a picture quickly and hid the device back into his pocket before pulling the fedora over his eyes again and acting like nothing happened.

Starr was awaiting for Irida's reply but before the conversation could continue, a guy dressed in black and white cut in by making a comment about their blue hair the two possessed. Apparently, it was a rare sight.

Starr wasn't sure what to make of it. He did not feel offended since that rarely happened when interacting with other people, so instead he decided to take it as a joke and follow with another one instead of getting annoyed for no particular reason. Besides, the guy did not seem to have any ill will and it would be better to make friends instead of enemies. It was the first day after all.

"Maybe it's fate. Maybe it's destiny. We may never know." Starr poetically stated in a humorous manner. "Who is the brave hunter who wishes to know?"

He laughed his words off, however, and proceeded to speak normaly. "I'm Starr and this is Iridia." He introduced the both of them and offered his hand, "Nice to make your acquaintance."

Adri slowed her march as she began encountering more students. She studied each fellow student intently as she past, not bothering to be surreptitious about it. She finally stopped when she witnessed a student crash into another one, sparking a slight smile from the Precog. Then the students began talking, which seemed to draw other students in. Was this normal? They were talking about the unusual hair color of the two that had run into each other. The only talks about hair she had ever gotten was from her guardian family on the lines of her need to wash it regularly.

Movement from the side caught Adri's attention, where she saw Akash use a device, then put it back in his pocket. This piqued the Precog's interest. Maybe it was time to walk up and talk to strangers, like everyone else was doing. She walked over to Akash, stopping about a yard from him.

"You used a, um, scroll on other students." She stated. "Why?"

Adri inwardly cringed when she realized she should have introduced herself first.

"I can't believe I finally made it," thought Mendum. After leaving the ship that had travelled the great distance, he at last made it at Beacon Academy. After so many years of torment, he gazes upon to gigantic structure with its glistening green orbs at the top and the structures that lied around the tower. This was his chance to finally meet other people and make new friends, but he knew that it wasn't going to be easy, but he also knew that he had to at least try.

Mendum didn't enjoy the view for much longer as he realised that he was going to be late on his first day at the academy. So he dashed towards the school and finally arrived in a hall filled with many students: the future huntsmen and huntresses and Mendum remembers that he is to be one of them.

"I'll be a huntsmen, but I also know that I'll be in a team of four. So if I'm gonna be a team player, I better start, what's that word? Socialising! Right," thinks Mendum. "But... where do I start? Who will I talk to? What will I say? Darnit! I've never done this before! The only person I've known my entire life was my mother, and she's the last person I want to talk to ever! Heck, the only thing she would talk about is 'training', but would take action," he thinks as he slowly touches the scar on his cheek, remembering that one cruel night that made him leave.

He looks around to see if he can talk with someone, but notices that a lot of people are already having a conversation. Until, he notices a boy (Shade Rowlen) sitting in the corner alone. He decides to walk over to him and meet him.

"Hey... uhm," he says as he scratches the back of his head. "Uh, how's it going?"

"This is not going to be good... Great job Mendum!" Mendum thinks to himself.

To say that Nutmeg was already in awe of the place would be an understatement. The abundance of technology that she had thought rare alone had her pausing at every corner in amazement. She had stood outside of Beacon for several minutes, staring up at the spindles, the arches, the columns. It was so extraordinary to the Northern Wolf. But finally, she had shaken herself out of her trance, and strode inside the building confidently. Once inside, she was once more taken aback by the variety of people. Her ears twitched slightly as she looked around. She had assumed that they'd be all mostly the same, Valish graduates of a combat school. But instead, it seemed that there were many of people who had instead taken the Combat Equivalency Exam to get in, like Nutmeg had been forced to do. That cheered her up a bit, since that would make it easier to meet new people. She noticed a boy sitting on the ground, and a blue-haired girl next to him, already chatting. Feeling anxious about being alone, she walked over to them, and sat down a bit behind them, flashing a toothy smile to both, her sharp canines obvious. "Hey guys, name's Nutmeg. I uh, just didn't wanna be alone." She said honestly.

~~~~
Viridem was a far different case. The green-haired youth walked with not only confidence, but arrogance. Really, it seemed like she was floating as she strode through the room. This was due to the small whirlwind she was blowing over herself, causing her hair to go wild. She didn't spend a second looking at a single other person. Ryonne had insisted, and so she was here. Didn't mean she had to like it. If anything, she intended to hate it. Viridem stopped in the middle of the room, looking expectantly up to the front of the room, awaiting the opening speech. It wasn't long before the groups of people that had been there when she arrived warily moved away, creating a circle of open space around Viridem.
- Iridia Clearwater -
Iridia's smile gave way to a chuckle at the young man in front of her, in the back of her mind trying to visualise a blue dandelion flower.  Starr Dandelion -- now there was a name she would not forget, and she found it a very nice surname regardless of his hesitance.
She was about to answer when the unnamed man in black and white livery cut into their conversation, flustering her entirely into becoming speechless for a while.  Thankfully, Starr was more than prepared to come back with a defusing answer for the both of them and offered a pleasant, warm tone to the newcomer.  She followed his lead, but she did not offer her hand nor did she offer many words.
"Pleased to meet you.  I'm Iridia Clearwater," she answered with a faint, not wholly genuine smile.
Dominic nodded to Nutmeg and pointed to his name made out of string, he then grabbed her with another piece of string and dragged her into the group and smiled at her. He then patted the ground so that Sapphire sits down, and he continued to clean and sharpen his weapons while listening to them talk and being ready to answer at any moment.
Royce-
"Roy L" Royce introduce himself by his favorite nickname that refers to both his name Royce Lee and Royal as in a Royal Flush and his love of cards and gambling. "It's nice to meet you." He turned to the young woman. "And you as well."
Shade-
Shade just simply continued to sit in the corner watching everything, waiting for Ozpin to make his appearance.
Starr was expecting Roy L to open up more of a conversation after introducing himself but instead it was up to him to offer a new subject to talk about. Something Starr did not find enjoyable when he found it hard to come up with new things to talk about on the spot.
His mind was racing at an alarming rate as he debated which questions he could ask in order to spring up everyones involvement to the same topic.
He could ask about their weapons and semblances but he doubted their willingness to offer such important information when they could end up in rival teams.
Maybe he could ask where they were from or why they chose to become hunters or what they were looking forward to the most.
Before he could try and ask, however, he was forced to stop by the sound of echoing footsteps and the slight cough of professor Ozpin before starting his speech.
A slight frown creased Sapphira's brow as Dominic displayed his name.  For a moment she could only stand there, befuddled, until it finally hit her.  "Oh!  Are you . . . mute?"  That seemed very saddening to her, though she always found the condition to be rather odd.  If a person could hear, why wouldn't they speak?  It was a little beyond her.  Still, she felt bad for him; no wonder it seemed that he'd find it difficult to socialize.  She stole a glance around her.  Iridia was already babbling away to another friend and Aunt Olivine had left.  It shouldn't hurt anything if she decided to sit with him and wait, or at least that's what she decided.
Eventually she plopped down beside Dominic, crossing her legs and offering him a smile.  "Thanks.  By the way, how does one actually sharpen a weapon?  I have never really had a need myself, but I've always been curious."  At this another student walked up, seeming particularly interested in making friends with them.  She sat a short ways from them, speaking to Dominic first before herself.  Sapphira waved, even though they were sitting rather close to one another.  "Hey!  Nice to meet you, Nutmeg.  I'm Sapphira Clearwater. Say, do you know many of these people here?  I don't know anyone except for my cousin Iridia there."  She gestured in the direction of her blue-haired cousin hitting it off with another kid of blue hair.
