Jingilator 922 Posted March 1, 2016 Hey, guys. Remember the underrated/forgotten Disney movies thing where I posted a kind-of long world idea for Spirted Away? Well, now I'm thinking "The Secret World of Arrietty" should also be in it. Post your story ideas in the comments as well as bosses and exploration. And I'm sure you all know the film events, so feel free to explain how Sora and the gang would fit in there.
Heartless Plush 177 Posted March 1, 2016 I'm not disagreeing with you. However, I believe there are better Ghibli movies than Arriety to be in KH. Not even spirited away. More Mononoke, I believe. Or Howls Moving Castle would be better. That being said, I'd be down for a Ghibli world 1 lehahiah81 reacted to this
Ventus_ 396 Posted March 3, 2016 Well, I do disagree. Arietty doesn't have an antagonist, let alone a dark one nor a plot that the heartless would work in. Mononoke would probably be the most fitting Ghibli film. Castle in the Sky and Steam Boy are also plausible options.

Her obsession with capturing the Borrowers and most likely either showing them to the world or disposing of them could create a darkness that the Heartless could feed on. Heck, she could even be one of the few Disney villains to control the Heartless without Xehanort or Maleficent's help, most likely using them to seek out the Borrowers. So don't tell me there's no antagonist or darkness just because there's happy-friendly scenes in the film. Use your head and visualize maybe even a boss battled against the mom herself. First off, that wasn't the mother of the boy, that was the housekeeper/nanny. The parents were away on business or something and sent the boy to this home because of his illness. You don't get to tell me what I can and can't say. I'm entitled to my opinion as you are yours. This thread prompted for feedback, did it not? I gave mine. You're not always going to get the feedback you want. I'll admit the concept you've come up with is thought provoking, I actually might be able to see Maleficent becoming intrigued by the massive power of Arietty's tiny heart and the boy's heart ailment having potential as something unique. I'm not sure what but there has to be something to work with there. Edited March 4, 2016 by FinalRest

I don't remember most of the movie, so I thought the housekeeper, named Haru/Hara or something, was the mom. Anyways, the reason I started this topic was to see story/boss/Keyblade ideas. How about going leaving yours?

How about going leaving yours? I didn't perceive myself as being negative just realistic. I'm quite the creative soul, but at times, my mind can be a bit one-dimensional, something I've been trying to change. It can take a push for me to see more than one possibility, or one period where seemingly absent. I've seen the film but once, maybe twice myself, the last time being more than a year ago (there was almost a third time with my best friend but I was only able to provide it from Comcast On Demand and she refused to watch it in English, she hates dubs, she thinks they ruin the characters). From what I can recall though the housekeeper wanted to expose the borrowers simply to prove she wasn't insane for claiming she witnessed one which only continued to make her look more so. Perhaps that only worked to increase the darkness in her heart. I could see the dollhouse that the boy's mother had built as a girl to provide sanctuary to the borrowers being the location of the keyhole(something I'd forgotten until you prompted me to explain that the housekeeper wasn't the mother). But I don't imagine it being in KH. Well, I do a little, but anyway. Besides, Disney doesn't have exclusive rights to Ghibli films and have even stopped distributing the new ones. 1 Ventus_ reacted to this

She'd trap Sora in her jars as she did Arietty's mother and you'd have to use specific magic or quick button pressing sequences to get out. So almost like the Tigger game in The Hundred Acre Wood in KH1. I know there should be a more direct objective as well but I can't think of what it would be. Valid point about the Disney/Ghibli relationship, that should be common sense that Disney doesn't have exclusive rights to Ghibli material. With that in mind I doubt it's possible for SE to use it. Noctis Caelum 2 Posted March 12, 2016 Eh I would rather have Chihiro. She is more Disney like and would fit in better.
