Bush wasn't the best and Obama is practically what Bush would be like if he was from a different party.

heartless101 83 Posted September 4, 2010 Guys, stop criticsizing Obama for everything lol. This upcoming year is going to be on his 3rd year in office. What did you expect? The Afghanistan War and the Iraq war to stop the day after he became president? LOL. And besides, in 2012, who would you rather have? Sarah Pallin who would screw up the USA in 2012? Or Obama who could make some valuable changes?
Kaiso 2,764 Posted September 4, 2010 @post before this one:To be completely honest, Neither. Neither one at all. ------------------ Where are these changes you speak of? I don't really see any of this. And no, I don't really think he's trying to his fullest that he possibly could. But he's a damn good speaker, I'll give him that. As for "politics," it's not really my cup of tea. I prefer to keep out as best as I can. But sometimes I can't help but let out a few things. But eh.. Oh, and Anyway i thought it was funny how everyone was like wooo Obama CHANNGEEE. Then nothing happened.

Or Obama who could make some valuable changes? Eh, I really think neither of them would be very helpful. Sarah Palin would've been better in my opinion, but I really don't like her much, either. In my opinion, Obama's one of the worst things to happen to America. He promised he'd fix everything, and people were desperate, so they voted for him. In truth, he's done nothing but mess America up more than it already is. Health Care Bill = Epic Failure. I think we haven't had a good president since Kennedy. Or a good idea that WORKS from a president since Kennedy's New Frontier plan.

Amon 4,279 Posted September 4, 2010 Guys you should just be patient with Obama, my god lol and also @lexi Why is the Health bill a epic failure? lol We were patient for 3 years. And everyone knows the last year of the first term is almost entirely dedicated to getting reelected. People were patient and even some of the people who voted for Obama claim that they won't vote for him again if he runs. It's been three years and Obama has accomplished almost nothing positive and considering that he will be too busy focusing on elections next year he won't be able to make a comeback in that time. Think Pink 1,967 Posted September 4, 2010 Fredfredbug4 phrased it perfectly. Obama's done NOTHING worth remembering. He has a way with words, but he hasn't improved this country. @Heartless the Health Care Bill is a fail because the government's messed up almost everything it touches. Don't let it mess this up, too. For instance, if he passes that bill, it will help some people, and screw a bunch of others. My family won't be covered the same anymore, and neither will any of my other family.
Godot 513 Posted September 4, 2010 ...Am I the only one who actually LIKES Sarah Palin? -w- ON-TOPIC: The Health Care Bill completely goes against everything the Constitution stands for. The government has no right to force people to buy something.
rho 9 Posted September 4, 2010 No,no president can make things perfect, but some Presidents do better than others. Obama is not one of these presidents. He sure as hell has done better than Bush. So what if we aren't best friends with the Russians?I'm not saying we need to be as close of allies as we are with the UK or France, but an alliance is an important and good thing to have with Russia. Our interest are completely different from theirs and don't even conflict with each other.Considering the power they have, such as an extremely huge nuclear arsenal, it'd be a good thing for us to be on their good side. The Cold War has ended. We are no where near close to allies.Really, now? These are direct quotes from the VERIFIED Twitter of the Russian President: " We need modernisation alliances, first of all with Germany, France, Italy, the EU and the United States." "The Cold War is becoming a thing of the past, but we still need to get rid of a few lingering prejudices." Not to mention how well Obama has been getting along with Dimitry Mendeleev and co. There are still a lot of people in Russia that wish they were back to the old Soviet days and despise America. And there's bound to be Germans who wish they were back to the Nazi days and despise America too. Yet Germany is one of our closest allies now. Just because Obama is visiting the Russians more doesn't mean that relations have been approved. He's not just visiting the Russians. The Russians have visited America and applauded many things here. They're becoming an ally slowly but surely wether you like it or not. And the way in which Obama is failing to improve relations is disarming lots of nukes. Now this may sound like a good thing but this shows a sign of weakness to the Russians as we are letting them have more missiles. They've had more than us for a while now. Doing that was a good thing as it strengthened US-Russia relations after Bush pissed them off a few years ago over the nukes. He didn't end the War in Iraq. He left Iraq. The Iraqi army still isn't well trained and well supplied, they are going to have a rough time in the years a headVery well. and if they get unlucky a new dictator will take power. Then we will go deal with them like we did with Saddam Plus, you can't end a war on terrorism. The war in Iraq was over for about six years buddy. We are fighting a global war, a war on terrorism. And you cant end that until all it's members are destroyed. Iraq was just a small theater in a greater war. The soldiers that were pulled out of there will just be redeployed into Afghanistan. You can kill all the terrorists in the world, but more will end up popping up. It's not too preventable. Just like we still have people with Nazi beliefs around. Second Great Depression? Where in the world are you getting this information? There has never been an economic collapse in this country as bad as the Great Depression. If this was the second, none of us would be posting on this site right now. And economies always fix themselves. Obama did nothing really, all he did was increase our already large debt by sending out stimulus dollars that haven't done anything. I'm dead serious with all the traveling around the country I've been doing lately I've only seen one project that was funded by the government. Of course Obama is praised because he was the president when the economy went back up and just because was president at the time. I didn't say there was one. I said that around 2008 there was a high risk of there being a Second Depression. Obama turned that around. Yeah I would rather have John McCain as president. He has more experience with war,>implying we need war with politics, and with diplomacy than Obama will ever hope to have.Diplomacy? Obama's strengthening of positive relations between the United States and Russia is already being considered as his best and most historic act in office. And the Cold War wasn't too long ago. And I get a kick when people think Palin can become president cause John will die. Of course four years and he's still alive.Considering his age and other issues, it'd be entirely possible for an event like that to occur. moving to personal to avoid spam. i think both bush and obama are idiots. please flame me now. I tend to doubt she could be good with foreign relations, she'd probably end up offending a bunch of people and lose us some allies. You mean changes that involve taking away freedoms that we had when America started? If that's not what your talking about I haven't seen anything change for the better. Such as what? Eh I think Bush was a bit better. Not a lot but Bush had more of an idea of what he is doing. In my opinion Obama seems a little unsure from time to time. Don't let his amazing speaking skills fool you. True, it would be a good idea to be on their good side, however it wouldn't provide much benefit for Russia and the US other than the ability to kick the ass of anyone in the world which I guess is a pretty big perk. But still, our interest conflict with each other. For example America is sympathetic towards Israel and Russia is sympathetic towards Iran. We are in fact working towards an alliance however we are not there yet. People, want it but an official alliance isn't close to completion. Nukes have been more of a bragging right than actual weapons these days. Having significantly less nukes than the Russians will make stupid people believe we are weak. Sadly God must love idiots because there are so freaking many of them. Actually Germans are ashamed of what they did when the Nazi's were in power. Being a Neo-Nazi in Germany is a jail sentence. Ironically most of the Neo-Nazi's are in America and aren't even of German decent. Even more Ironic is that many of these Neo-Nazi's later discovered they aren't 100% white. However being a Neo-Nazi in America is discouraged but is in fact allowed. There are parades and gatherings unfortunately. But it's freedom of speech. As long as they don't decide to hurt anyone it's ok I guess. I hate Neo-Nazi's with a passion though... If a new dictator takes power in Iraq everything done there would be completely pointless. Thousands of people would have died in vain and over 7 years of work to keep the Iraqi's free would have been wasted. We could easily remove a new dictator from power. The problem lies in reversing all the damage he has done which as we saw from this war, wasn't a walk in the park. Your right there will always be terrorist, however they aren't very good at killing people who choose to fight back (military). If we destroy as many of them as possible, it will weaken their moral and make them less effective at harming people. I do recall you saying that Obama stopped the Second Great Depression, I guess I misunderstood what you said though... War is a part of who humans are. We have been fighting since the dawn of time and will most likely keep doing so. Sadly solving a problem peacefully is less likely than solving a problem violently for humans for many situations. As a result it's good to have someone who knows how to wage war in power. Not that we need it as war is a terrible thing, however whether you like it or not it will happen more likely than peaceful resolutions. Like I said, being friends with Russia is a good thing, but it really isn't the thing American's should be focused on right now.
