I know we don't even know what is going to happen in Kh 3 but what could happen to some of the characters? Could it go so far as to show maybe the Children of some the characters such as Sora and Kairi?

that idea just feels to much like a typical sequel. honestly i would rather just see another adventure with Sora, Donald and Goofy. i don't need huge time skips or new wannabe protagonists. just give me a straightforward and simple adventure. 

 

i guess that's assuming i actually stick around after KH3 though.

I don't think they'll have kids due to their ages and the whole theme of trios. I mean think about it. Sora, Riku, Kairi. Terra, Aqua, Ven. Roxas, Xion, and Axel. If for example, Sora and Kairi got together, it would ruin the whole theme. Sure, we can hope it'll happen, but I feel it won't.

What the future will hold for the Kingdom Hearts series after Kingdom Hearts III, I really don't know!  There's worlds of possibilities to go with that question!  It would be pretty cool if we got to see the children of the current protagonists!  But for that, there'd have to be quite a significant time gap, so I don't know.

 

What I'd like to see is all the characters that make it out of Kingdom Hearts III having the lives they were deprived of because of Xehanort!  And knowing Sora, he's probably going to keep on adventuring, exploring and discovering new things!  Who knows?  Sora, Riku and Kairi could even possibly create a new Jedi Order! Oh, wait, I mean, a Keyblade Wielder Order!

 

But yeah, the possibilities are endless!

Well I could really care less about gender or race, I'm just happy the Xehanort saga will be ending so we can get a new villain, because if they kept up with the whole  different version of Xehanort thing it would start to feel like a freaking Mario game.
