Is this normal?

Recently I've considered starting a relationship with a girl (dunno when that happens) and I'm not sure I'm capable of doing that because I'm worried that I'll become abusive. Every time I talked to her she was nice to me and laughed at my jokes. But I'm worried - like I said previously, that if I'll start a relationship with her, I'll become abusive.

It's normal to be concerned, but about something like that, probably not normal. I'm sure you'll manage just fine in your relationship. If you do become abusive, it might be stress or some other factor that leads to people becoming abusive.

you're probably fine. unless you get the sudden urge to punch her whenever she laughs at your jokes i'd say you don't have to worry.

I don't know why you think you'd become abusive really. Makes no sense. Unless like Jack said you get the urge to sock her in the face eveytime she tells a joke or get urges to cause harm onto her. I wish you good luck.
