I would personally really appreciate that. The most likely candidates would be IV, VI, VII, X, XII, XIII, or XV. Though personally, I would much rather have a world for The World Ends With You. I mean, Neku did invite Sora to visit Shibuya back in 3D. I don't see why Sora couldn't uphold his promise.

I was thinking this too!

Honestly, not really.  If there is a world based on one of the FFs, it would only have very little of what the original world was like in its FF game, and I know a lot of people would complain if a certain town or dungeon or character didn't appear.  So, I'd rather just stick with original and Disney worlds.  But who knows, maybe I'd be totally wrong.

If there were a world based on FFX or FFXIII in KH3, I think I'd be throwing money at my screen.

If both, I think I would run over to Square Enix with my entire savings and beg them to take it.

Seriously, I loved those FF games and if they can make it work, I'm all for Square putting them in.

The Disney worlds are nice, but for a game that should have some kind of FF theme in it, there just isn't

enough FF. I think FFXIII as a world would be more likely just because Tidus and Wakka are apparently

still living on Destiny Islands in KH.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, though, they'd have to make the whole XIII theme more light-hearted.

The game itself is too dark for it to be completely featured. (The idea of the Purge, most of the character's backstories, etc.)

Agreed. But honestly I don't think FFXIII is that dark. I mean, if Pirates of the Caribbean can make it, so can FFXIII.

Unless you get that game's director to supervise, god no.

How come? The characters were already carried out okay.

When you think about it, they pretty much watered down most of the dark themes of Pirates of the Caribbean. I suppose they needed to if they were going to put it in, though. Still, I guess if they allowed blood in and they also allowed Will's implied threat of suicide, they'd let FFXIII in.

Not to mention the use of alcohol and "pleasurable company" line. It was just as dark if not darker than XIII.

Ooh, I'd love it if we got the chance to visit a Final Fantasy themed world in Kingdom Hearts III!  I find myself thinking about Baron from Final Fantasy IV as a great world to visit!  The characters there and the themes they have really resonate with that of the main cast of the KH games, ya know?  Like, I could see Riku relating to Kain's ordeals, and through Cecil and Rosa's bond, Sora would come to realize how strong his feelings for Kairi are, ya know?  There's also the whole darkness of the heart and redemption going on with Golbez, which could relate to Terra, and well, I don't know, I'd just love to see how these characters would interact, ya know?

Another Final Fantasy world I'd love to visit would be Midgar from Final Fantasy VII, because I want to see how Cloud and Sephiroth's story ends!

AND I WANT TO KNOW IF AERITH WILL BE KILLED OFF IN KINGDOM HEARTS III! xD

It would be interesting, but it would have to be pulled off right. Sora could fit in easily but to get Donald and Goofy to fit in could be a bit difficult to do.

My thoughts exactly. Don't forget Treno from FFIX! :D

You might have a point, but I think Nomura's got it covered. Maybe after KH3 Sora can work with Riku and Kairi for once. :)

World's a bit different. They're condensing an FF world which some people will think represents say "FFXIII". It's the director's game, he should supervise.

Nomura is a huge Kain fanboy (and you can tell by his role in Dissidia 012, even wanted him to be Cecil's "Chaos" counterpart in the original); I don't think the resemblance between he and Riku are a coincidence.

Honestly I can't say for sure. For one thing most of the FF characters we've seen are clearly different from their original FF counterparts, so much so where even the very worlds they come from are different than they originally were. Selphie, Tidus, and Waka are born on the same island as Sora, Squall, Cloud, and half of the FFVII gang are from Radiant Garden, Zack is a denizen of Hercules' world (though he could still be from Radiant Garden or some other world, he did come "a long way" just so see Phil after all...), and the closest character to possibly being from the FF universe, Auron, "lives" in the Olympian Underworld now (you know, being dead and all). Basically with all of the characters from FF we've been presented with so far having their origins and places of residence be so greatly altered for the sake of KH's universe-building, I think it would be pretty bizarre to see some characters being introduced who aren't as altered or integrated into the universe. I mean, let's say if you have Lightning in KH3. AWESOME, she's in the game! But how exactly? Is she just like Leon and Cloud and just happens to be a denizen of a KH-original world that's Final Fantasy-esque who assists Sora in his battle against the forces of Darkness in said world, or would she be THE Lightning from the FF universe and you have to visit her in her game's world(s)/timeline/whosamawhatiz and be temporarily involved in her world's story or vice-versa? Because one option is very expected and EXTREMELY easy to integrate to the larger sure to be complex story that is KH3's plot, while the other option requires a lot of editing for the sake of fitting in fragments of an already huge story on it's own as well as contrasting an already heavy and edgy story, characters (unaltered), and environment against a slightly more light-hearted series of characters and story.

In case you couldn't tell, in this example I'd much rather prefer for Lightning the character to appear in KH3 and be "KH-ified" like Cloud, Leon, Zack, etc. It'd be much simpler and easier than having to try and figure out how to take a chunk of FFXIII/2/LR's story and setting and figure out how to make it "fit" in with the rest of KH3, plus it's consistent with what we have seen with the series so far. To this point, most of the FF characters we come across tend to come from the original worlds that Square created for the sake of KH's story, Traverse Town, Radiant Garden, and Twilight Town, with a few notable exceptions being Zack (never straight up says where he's from, character design not withstanding) and Auron (who is dead in both KH2 and FFX, and his memories from his statue supposedly being lines from the game itself). Now for the most part, most of these characters aren't too different from their FF counterparts, albeit lighter versions of their overall character from their respective stories (the difference being one goes through a constant series of evolution as the story goes on while the other is given a consistent personality that doesn't have to change too much given their supporting character status). That said, so are fellow Square characters Neku, Joshua, and the rest of the gang, yet they are confirmed to come from the same world they resided in in their game, specifically Shibuya. Now maybe you could do something similar, have Lightning appear, lost from her world (sure you could make some kind of excuse taking place between XIII and LR), but personally I think that introducing her like any other character would work just as well.

But who knows, it all depends on what they want to do and how they do it. Maybe introducing a world could work, though if anything I'd just like to go to Shibuya to see a conclusion to Neku and friends' story, as well as a conclusion and explanation to Cloud and Sephiroth's story.

I'd only be excited if it was something from the first six games. VII and on have plenty of time in the spotlight, and Square rarely gives anything older than VII anything special outside of plain old ports. Visiting Baron or a similar place would be cool.

How come? The characters were already carried out okay.

If you're like me and pretend that KHII's Setzer wasn't intended to be FFVI's Setzer, then yeah, they were carried out okay. Setzer in KHII was a complete joke compared to his FF counterpart, though.

Maybe... I can see them pulling it off pretty easily, but I always kind of liked the idea that Final Fantasy characters interact with Disney ones and everybody just finds that completely normal (like Zack in BBS)
