This is a 4x4 between Oblivion 22, Yukiteru Amano, Madam Ciel Phantomhive, and I.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For years Ghouls and Humans have been living in chaotic harmony within Tokyo City. Living among the Humans, the Ghouls have fought for survival among themselves and against the CCG. The war has always been at a 50/50, no side either winning or losing. However within the recent years, with technology advancing, and more information of Ghouls being used against them, the Ghouls have been slowly losing their battle for life. In the last year over 80% of the Ghoul Population has either been exterminated or captured by the CCG for experimentation, and every passing day it seems that soon the CCG will accomplish their ultimate mission to being the extinction of the Ghoul race. The Aogiri Tree, who used to be a Ghoul Extremist Group, is now the only light in the tunnel that the Ghouls have in any hopes of salvation. It is no longer a war to see who wins the majority, it is a war for survival. Whether you are human, Ghoul, or any other alliance, you better get ready.

Things have just become u n r a v e l e d.

  • CCG INVESTIGATOR:

Name: Arnold "Ron" Cousland

Gender: Male

Age: 27

Appearance: http://s9.favim.com/orig/130914/anime-black-and-white-creepy-guy-Favim.com-922398.jpg

Rank: (Optional) First Class

Quinque: (Description or image.) A chainsaw katana made from a mixture of a bikaku and rinkaku. The revolving saw is actually the rinkaku repeatedly regenerating while the inner blade is from the bikaku, made from two ghoul brothers that Ron defeated and received ownership rights from. http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll25/YunoAmano/chainsawkatana_zps8lkmawzk.jpg

Bio: (Optional) As a child, Arnold used to love games. He would play them with friends and neighbors, even those he suspected to be child ghouls. Eventually his gambling and benefit of doubt went too far, causing him to suffer a terrible injury at the hands of a ghoul who heard rumors of a boy who played with "everyone". Although he won every challenge they competed over, the ghoul, dressed as a gothic clown, discreetly killed his family one by one after every match until only they remained. Viewing the situation as the ultimate life or death game, he offered one last game, rock papers scissors, and played the latter, blinding the foe through their one weak spot, the eyes. Suffering multiple injuries, he managed to subdue his enemy before the CCG finally arrived, earning himself a spot as Second Class investigator. Under the guidance Associate Special Class Sayu Koushiki, he continued to think of unorthodox ways of defeating ghouls, managing to capture two S ranked brothers alive which earned him a promotion. Having donned attire that would match the nameless ghoul that started everything and with a playful smile, Ron is always ready to play more games with people, whether they're aware of it or not.

Themesong: (Optional) https://youtu.be/sz9bD_Dmqwc

Extra info: (Optional) Loves competitive games, actually prefers different methods but tries to choose the one with the highest chance of winning, capable endurance and flexibility from rigorous training and therapy. Finding the name 'Arnold' too serious, Sayu decided to dub him as 'Ron" to the point where even the other higher-ups mistake that as his original name.

  • QUINX:

Name: Rin Torres

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Appearance: http://orig01.deviantart.net/5ba7/f/2012/140/0/1/female_rin_okumura_render_by_renokumura-d50j0n8.png

Quinque Kagune: (Description or image) Koukaku. The kagune extends from below her shoulder blade, completely enveloping her arm. Although its sheer force is high, the kagune slows her down, prevents flexibility and is quite unstable, forcing her to serve as an executioner or wallbreaker until she gains more control. http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/10/100955/4530108-screen+shot+2015-04-27+at+11.37.14+am.png

Quinque: Three ukaku tazer pistols that she stores in her coat and belt, firing just enough electricity to paralyze a regular ghoul for a brief moment.

Bio: (Optional) Rin never knew her mother, growing up with two brothers and her father in a poor district of Tokyo. A refuge family who sought to escape the ghouls invading their previous country, she faced harsh discrimination from others and often viewed herself as nothing more than a lowly, untalented person. With the death of her father and murder of her brother from an "Aogiri terrorist raid" informed by the CCG, she decided to join the Quinx program, hoping it would help her fund her brother's education and their need for food and housing. Taking the aptitude test, she barely reached the minimum qualification and was experimented on, receiving a transplant which allowed her to use her kagune. Now able to live in a mansion and afford anything for her younger brother, she'd rather stay on the sidelines than risk her life, but knows that her future would be bound to death the moment she passed the Quinx test.

Themesong: (Optional) https://youtu.be/vvvvcpwFw5o

Extra info: (Optional) Depressed and suffers from hallucinations due to the transplant

Weapon: (Optional) A spare quinque ukaku pistol he looted from a crime scene which he normally keeps in his house. It fires red crystals and has a safety limiter option, but reaches an overheat period due to being a novice grade weapon.

Kagune type: Rinkaku

Kagune appearance: Three tentacle like Kagune that come out of her lower back in a triangle formation, two going up her right and left side and the last one going down like a tail of sorts.

Occupation: College Student

Bio: Growing up as a Ghoul, life was always going to be hard for Alice as she would always know that she was different to all of the other kids around her. For the longest time, she didn't understand why she couldn't tell people who she was. As her father was the one who brought the "food" home, Alice never suspected that what they were doing might be morally wrong or might put others in danger. However, one day her father had been caught by the CCG while out hunting and in order to protect his family, he died without giving up any information. Hearing about this, the world itself began getting a little darker in Alice's eyes. Blending in during the day as a college student, Alice dons a mask at night as a member of the Aogiri Tree, intent on finding the Investigator responsible for her father's murder.

ONE-EYED GHOUL:

Artificial or Natural: Artificial

Name: Shiki Akuma

Ghoul Nickname: Dark Angel / The Experiment

Mask:

Posted Image

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Appearance:

Posted Image

Kagune type: Ukaku

Kagune appearance: His kagune appears like black wings that seem to be made out of shadows, but are actually just thousands of individual kagune that are circle around his upper shoulders.

Occupation: Run away experiment from the CCG.

Bio: Having been raised as an orphan from birth by the CCG due to his parents having been killed by Ghouls, Shiki was taught to hate ghouls for what they had done to his family, and it worked. Between the ages of 6 and 15, Shiki was striving to become the youngest Investigator in recorded history and his test scores were off the charts. However, a few of the higher ups in the CCG had something else planned for the teen. Abducting him away one night by force, Shiki was taken to an underground facility for Ghoul experimentation. The things that Shiki bore witness to in that place completely changed his perspective on everything. Ghouls were like cattle and the CCG were the farmers. It was then, at that time, that they experimented on Shiki to find out exactly how far he would go. Being seemingly tortured and experimented on for days on end, the white haired boy was transformed into an artificial One Eyed Ghoul. Fortunately for Shiki, the scientists had underestimated the power of his new and unstable Kagune. Breaking free from his restraints, the experiment then rampaged within the laboratory until finding an eventual way out. On the run from the CCG, Shiki has managed to adapt to the lifestyle of a Ghoul, but keeps doubting himself morally when it comes to having to eat other human beings in order to survive, choosing to not kill people whenever possible.

I guess we can start. You may kill/add characters along the way.

---

For the Ghouls of all kind, it didn't start as an ordinary day. Somehow, whether through the mail, or being given by a random stranger, or as sudden as finding it inside your pocket, a letter was delivered to you, as a ghoul, and it read as such;

Hello. Do not worry, for this letter is simply a means of invitation. We know what you are, and for that being, that you are a Ghoul. One of the few of us that remain. Whether how we found you or managed to get this letter to you is not to concern yourself about. Instead, I have come with an offer. As you know, the CCG is tracking us down, and soon we might become extinct. I do believe that we should work together as a species in hopes of fixing the problems that the CCG has caused for us. Better to work as a team rather than alone, right? If you are not interested, I do ask for you to burn this letter or get rid of it in a safe means for the sake of your fellow Ghouls. However, if you are interested in this fellowship against the enemy, I ask for you to come by the Lucky Star Cafe around 8 PM sharp. That is where we will meet, along with any other Ghouls that accept this invitation. Be wary, and only bring those you can trust. Until then.

-The remnants of the Aogiri Tree.

"Come again!~Have a nice day!" Antonio chimed, giving a small bow as he waved to another satisfied customer at the cafe. Feliciano waited for the customer to step out before he went ahead and cleaned the table, bringing the dishes over to the kitchen to be washed. "Lovino isn't answering my messages." Feliciano said softly. "Oh! He did tell me that he had a photo shoot today, so he might be a bit late." Antonio answered.

“Oh? He forgot to tell me that, it seems. He does seem fond of that job…I will admit it brings great income to pay for the apartment.” Feliciano said, looking down as he began to wash the dishes. “I should try to get a job too. I’ve been so busy hunting to distribute food to the listed families of ghouls around my district, it’s been hard to find one that is able to fit my schedule.” Feliciano said as he dried the cleaned plates and set them up. “Ah don’t be gloomy! You’re doing a great job! Besides, that’s how you two work together! One guy goes for the human act and the other goes for the other act, huh?” Antonio insisted, teasing Feliciano. There was no one inside besides them, so they could talk on. “I guess…I’m just worried. There are many families that are at the risk of starving because they can’t risk getting caught. Then there’s the orphanage, and the other members are extremely busy with the other districts, and we’re short on staff…” Feliciano said, beginning to go on and on, before Antonio patted his back softly. “It’s alright, Feliciano. Don’t worry too much about it. The letters were sent, so now we wait.” Antonio said, replacing his dirty apron for a clean one. “Yes.” Feliciano glanced out the window worryingly. “I just hope we bring in the right crowd.”

“A little to the left, mister Vargas!” “Look straight at the lens now!” Lovino moved his hips slightly, raising his arms as he did another pose and tipped the brand hat he wore. Flashes of cameras gleamed back and forth without a pause. If it wasn’t for Antonio he wouldn’t even be in this job, but somehow his green eyes and tanned skin was just what the industry wanted at the moment, and that was good enough for him. It brought good income, and it kept his human persona with enough alibis to avoid suspicion. Not eating a lot? New diet. So on so on. “Alright, take a break.” Lovino sighed, taking off the Gucci sunglasses as he rubbed his eyes. “I hope Feliciano is having a better time right now.”

"Ms. Furukawa, you had a letter at the front door this morning. It is yours so you can open it." Ren's manager called to her.

Ren Furukawa had just arrived to work, sipping on some black coffee while doing her hair.

"Thank you sir!" Ren said with a smile, dropping her hair for a second.

"Hello. Do not worry, for this letter is simply a means of invitation. We know what you are, and for that being, that you are a Ghoul. One of the few of us that remain. Whether how we found you or managed to get this letter to you is not to concern yourself about. Instead, I have come with an offer. -The remnants of the Aogiri Tree."

"Hm." she sighed, reading it back over again.

"I'll be off by then." Ren folded the letter tight, hiding it withing her current clothing.

She tied her hair in cute twintails, straightening out her maid uniform and taking a long swig of her coffee.

"Off to work I go." she sighed, looking at herself in the mirror for a little bit longer.

"Control yourself today, Furukawa." she repeated in her mind, before heading out to the main cafe area.

Walking through the streets, pride in her mighty strut, Alice smiled as she was texting a few of her friends over the phone. Having received a particular letter earlier that day, the black haired college student marched her way towards the anime cafe that the letter had told her to arrive at. Despite already being a member of the Aogiri Tree, this was Alice's first real opportunity to meet some of the higher up member of the organisation. Making sure that her confidence didn't drop in the slightest, Alice walked in with her all to familiar smirk as she approached the counter to find to young men around her age. Putting her elbows on the counter and crossing her fingers in order to rest her head on, Alice charmingly spoke to the two boys in a somewhat demanding yet bossy tone.

"So, which of the two of you are responsible for a certain letter appearing in my hands when I woke up this morning?"

Alice took out the letter and placed it down on the counter in front of the staff members of the cafe.

"Also, while I'm here, I'll take a coffee. Bring it around to me when it's done would ya?"

Alice then yawned a little, going over to sit at a table and proceeded to put her feet up on top of said table while continuing to chat with people over the phone. Being the popular and attractive girl she knew she was, her work was cut out for her if she wanted to maintain her image as the type of girl who could get whatever she wanted no matter what.

Leaning over a counter filled with handheld games, a single kakugan formed in the eye of Hayato Aoki as he read a mysterious letter found in his pocket. His mind was suspicious to such an invitation, CCG have been known to create such ploys in the past. Fortunately, his current workplace was quite hidden and under appreciated. No one would suspect ghouls had hobbies such as gaming, after all. Much less a half-ghoul who didn't even require the meat of humans. Although he was ready to dismiss the letter, a single line captured all of his attention.

The remnants of the Aogiri Tree.

Hayato had heard stories and rumors in the ghoul world about the infamous One Eyed King, and how the CCG seemingly captured him, or her, depending on the story. Grinning playfully, he checked the clock that hung above various figures and boxes. If it was truly from the Tree, then he'd be delighted to take control. If not, then he'd simply have to show them what being under the reign of a true One Eyed Ghoul meant.

~~~
"Koushiki Sayu, dodge!" Ron yelled loudly, quite annoyed at his Squad Leader's attempts to be even more careless than him. By virtue, he made it a habit to feign haphazardness and nonchalance, but Sayu was blatantly swinging her weapon without looking. "Then I'd hope this teaches you a lesson about paying more attention~" she mocked, impaling a ghoul over her shoulder before sending him flying into a wall, a result of her cattle prod-shaped electric quinque. Currently, they were assigned to a modern "Whack-a-mole" operation, raiding the undergrounds for scavenging ghouls. Swaying to his right in a way that would've induced awe in the CCG's Early Kakuja Armor era, Ron's sawblade made a clean cut through a red bikaku tail before he drove it through another ghoul, unfazed. With the foundation of new technology, fighting ghouls was almost a chore for the front liners.
Finishing the last of the miniature raid squad, Sayu groaned before squatting on the floor. Her hair was long and brown, although her soft features were put off by her boyish demeanor. "I think my kill count was higher than yours, Ron." Her subordinate rested his back against a damp wall, staring at a leaking ceiling. "Even as a game, it's been getting kinda boring lately. There's only so many ways to kill a ghoul." In reply, the older woman simply sighed. "It's almost over, AT is on their last legs. Maybe after then, we can try out some games that don't involve killing." Grinning with his usual, eerie smile, Arnold Cousland was genuinely smiling on the inside. He knew what she had in mind, and he was looking forward to it.
~~~

Staring at the results of her Quinx RC blood test, a young girl nervously gulped, sitting on a couch in CCG headquarters. The bold, black number on her chart read 1,800, higher than usual. She had read the conditions, the risks in terms of service. Control yourself, she whispered softly while breathing lightly. Things like this will happen, and they'll settle. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes. Until she opened them and tore the paper in half, smashing a glass table with her kagune, a deadly, grotesque monstrosity. Unable to control her breathing, she felt her pulse increase as she slashed at the books that lay on her desk. The broken glass simply flattened under her as if made from paper, unable to scratch her skin. She was a monster, and she knew it. Tampered with by the doctor, humiliated by the people, even more...

...

She didn't realize when, but she found herself curled into a ball with dry tears. Her life was forfeited in order to live, so why did she suddenly feel a desire to be alive?

~~~
Ran yawned, placing the finished book back on the shelf. He was in a library, and the musty smell of books often felt like home to him. Still deciding what course to take for college, he wanted to stock up on as much information as he could. It was almost 7:30 PM and he needed to relax. "I left it at home, so I should stay to safe areas for now." He muttered to himself, needing to sober up his mind. A cafe would be the perfect place. Checking his phone for maps, the Lucky Star was closest to his location and seemed like a ghoul-free, profitable experience from reviews.
"Attention! The Experiment has escaped containment! I repeat, The Experiment has escaped containment! All desk personnel are to be armed and ready! All Investigators available are asked to arm up and search! The Experiment must be recaptured, dead or alive!"
The CCG headquarters began to scramble across as the sun began to set. Desk personnel loaded their guns as investigators of all ranks geared up with their quinques and explored across the HQ. An experimented artificial one-eyed ghoul had escaped containment, and they had to capture it before it escaped to the city. Otherwise it would just be another parasite that they would have to take care of. Not like he could do much. There was so little something like him could do now a days. However the CCG wanted to avoid any casualties possible if he decided to get hungry. "Anything on the cameras?" Theo asked, standing with crossed arms as he glanced around the many monitors in the security room. "Nothing yet sir! We will keep looking! We have more Investigators on the ground searching as well! We'll look through the entire perimeter." The guard said, he along with dozens of others searching throughout the views of every camera in the building. Theo clicked his tongue in annoyance. "What a bother. I knew I should've ordered the guys to put him down the moment he was taken out of the comatose drugs." Theo insisted. In a corner of the room, Nyo hummed as he played with his scarf. "Maybe we should ask him to give in nicely? If he doesn't feel that we will kill him when captured he might not put up a fight. Though I don't blame him, the food here is terrible..." Nyo said rather casually, somewhat playfully as he smiled up at his superior, only to quickly coward away once Theo glared at him. "Make your self useful, and go steak out the HQ. You know his scent, I want you to follow it and push him out of hiding." Theo ordered. Nyo hummed. "That;s the entire building!" "It isn't a suggestion, Quinx." Nyo looked down. "Yes sir." Nyo stepped out of the office, his eyes turning gray and red. "Ah, I'm sorry, Shiki. I hope I don't find you."
Antonio and Feliciano turned at the ever so happy young woman that walked in. Her tongue was as sharp as her sass, and she wasn't afraid to show it. Though Antonio couldn't tell, Feliciano could. Both him and Nyo and many other Ghoul-like beings had enhanced senses, and for Feliciano, much like Nyo's, he could pinpoint certain scents depending on the person. Alice smelled like strawberries. "Antonio, you heard the lady. Get some coffee ready." Feliciano asked. Antonio quickly went ahead and made some coffee for the customer, Feliciano taking the letter from the counter and taking a look at it to make sure it was his. Yes. It was his hand writing. It was legitimate. He moved over to the stove, turning it on until a flame appeared before burning the letter into ashes. "The coffee's done!" Antonio chimed. Feliciano turned off the stove and took the coffee, walking over to Alice and setting it down on her table. "Here you go." Feliciano said, smiling. "We will have to wait for the others, if you don't mind. My brother should be arriving soon as well."
Lovino finished his photoshoot. By next week his photos would be on front page of Tokyo Fashion magazine. Not that he cared. He just wanted the paycheck and to have some time with Antonio. Though he certainly didn't mind his job at all. It gave him great financial advantage and a great alibi. Who would suspect a darling model could be a ghoul? Not many for sure. Walking down the street wearing his sunglasses, he couldn't help but to stop in front of a Maid Cafe on his way over to the Lucky Star Cafe. "Hm...Maybe I could work here." Lovino told himself jokingly. He could certainly pull off a maid dress, but he didn't think Feliciano would very much approve of it.
Ren had finished her several hours of work after a long day, taking her hair down and changing back into her day clothes.
Today Ren wore something simple, a black pleated short skirt, a rather over sized button-down collared long sleeved navy shirt, and a black causual jacket that was probably intended for men, and a cute black bow in her hair.
She was headed over to the Lucky Star Cafe, having a strong cup of coffee on her way, enough to keep Ren awake for a couple of more hours.
Ren entered the cafe, cowering at the loud music as she walked in. She took a seat at the counter and pulled out the envelop, showing it to one of the workers and then turning her attention to Alice.
She kinda just noted Alice was there and really didn't say anything at all.
This plays in the BG:
--------------------------------------------
Antonio watched as someone else came in, and gleefully greeted the young lady. "Welcome." Antonio said, taking the envelope from the young woman and opening it. It was another one of Feliciano's letters. "FELI-!" Antonio gasped. "I know." Feliciano said, turning to Antonio with a small smile as he gave a soft nod at the newcomer. He excused himself from Alice and walked over back to the counter, taking the letter from Antonio's hands. He looked over the letter, and once he realized it was authentic, he gave it back to Antonio. "Burn it." Feliciano ordered, Antonio nodding as he went ahead and burnt the letter to a crisp. "Thank you so much for coming. You're the second member to arrive. I am Feliciano, this is my friend, Antonio. Would you like anything while you wait? We still have more people that should be coming over." Feliciano asked softly. Just as suddenly a fashionable looking young man stepped in, Feliciano's brother closing the door behind him as he removed his brand sunglasses. "Yo. They let me off early. Though tomorrow I have a swimsuit shot." Lovino explained. "Welcome back, Lovino. We have guests." Feliciano said. Lovino glanced around to see the two new faces, both young ladies. "Please tell me you invited more than just them?" Lovino asked as he walked behind the counter. "Of course. We're just waiting on them." Feliciano said.
"Hm~ I wouldn't mind having this one right here." Ren teased, pointing at Lovino and winking.
That was a bad joke.
"But seriously, no. However thank you. I am Ren Furukawa, nice to meet you Feliciano." She said with a smile, Ren brushing a small bang away from her face.
She was really hungry today. Ren knew she would have to deal with it and keep herself in control at all times. She'll have her fun later, and maybe these  other Ghouls would help her out a little bit.
Maybe.
The doors of the cafe opened as two boys bumped into each other, attempting to enter at the same time. Adjusting his glasses, Ran frowned before finding a hand extended, offering to help him up. "Gah, sorry 'bout that. Little hasty, are we?" The voice said with an almost playful tone.
Covered in a mixture of black and pink clothes with blue shoes, Hayato stood out from the rest of the people in the shop as Ran grabbed his hand, regaining his balance. Taking a sniff, he feigned interest in the brewing coffee beans while eyeing the human. The half ghoul debated on inquiring if they were both invited by a letter, but decided against it, simply offering to pay for anything as he sat on a bar stool, waving his letter at what smelled like ghouls with a smile.
~~~

Rin woke up at the sound of alarms, struggling to grab her coat while her face was stained with dry tears. "We already have Quinx, why bother with half ghouls?" She groaned, barely managing to slide on her shoes as she ran down the hallway, heading towards one of the potential exits memorized during training. Her mind was blank and pristine, ready to handle whatever creature burst out of the lab as she sprinted, calculating between the rooftop and windows that littered the building.

~~~
Ron's buzzer rang loudly in consecutive digits, indicating an emergency breakout at the headquarters. "Maybe if we're fast enough, we can catch whatever it is right when they're outside!" Sayu cheered, running alongside her apprentice. "We might even get to die in style!" Whack-a-mole operations had serious mental tolls on investigators due to sleep deprivation with a distorted time perception, and the signs sometimes showed when it came to their squad. Climbing out of a manhole, they flashed their CCG badges at a passerby vehicle before taking the backseat, staring intently at the driver. "If you get there in time, you'll have a compensation award. If you don't, you'll get a decompensation award~" Ron said, gripping the seat of the driver as he began his route for the building with nervous eyes.
Within the CCG HQ, the so-called "Experiment" had escaped from his restraints and was now roaming around the building. The Experiment, a young man by the name of Shiki was cautiously making his way through the building undetected, regardless of them being on full alert. It turns out that having grown as a future investigator comes with certain benefits now that the boy had become a half Ghoul. Currently laying low in a janitors closet with no cameras on, Shiki was devising a plan to escape the facility. But first, he would need something he took a liking too many years ago. Shiki opened the door slowly, waiting for a patrol to pass before exiting the closet. Sticking close to the walls, Shiki descended the floors of the CCG one by one until he reached the 5th floor of the colossal building. On this floor, all kinds of items that belonged to Ghouls who had been killed or capture was stored here. Before entering the room that contained the masks worn by previous Ghouls, Shiki prepared himself. He knew there were cameras watching the door and that he would be seen as soon he entered. But no matter what, he had to get what he came for if he really wanted to start over. Getting ready, Shiki had a habit of clicking his neck before doing something dangerous and he did so now before his Kagune sprouted out of his back.
"I'm ready..."
Bursting down the door with brute force, alarms started going off immediately. Using his Kagune's ability to augment his speed, Shiki searched the room as fast as he could before his gaze landed on a mask that was fit to sit on the lower half of someone's face. Taking it, Shiki turned back to the door to find two investigators approaching him. Not wanting to kill them, Shiki ran at the Investigators before, at the last second, pivoted on his foot to run back into the room. Picking up the pace, the investigators could see what Shiki was running for, he was going to leap to the next building over by jumping through the window. Smashing through the glass, Shiki discovered that his Kagune did not provide him with flight, but took the form of a type of aura around his back that increased his speed while reducing his stamina. Free flowing through the air, Shiki reaches the nearby, neighbouring building and climbs onto it's roof. Gritting his teeth from the pain of using his Kagune for so long, Shiki was already beginning to feel tired. But he had to keep running and running because if he didn't then he'd be caught and then killed or, even worse, ”experimented" on even more. Getting down from the roof, the half Ghoul had to find a way of staying out of sight from the CCG. Quickly, he looked for an entryway into the sewers so that he may lay low for a while.
"I'll make them pay for what they've done to me."
~Meanwhile~
Alice sipped from her cup of coffee as more people entered the cafe with the majority of them being men. Growing tired, the black haired beauty crossed her arms with a frown, seemingly unimpressed by Lovino's "entrance". Alice was interested in what a human was doing amongst a group of Ghouls. It was clear that the young man behind the bar was aware of everyone else in the room being a Ghoul, but he did not cower as a response. Finally deciding to speak up to Feliciano, Alice's voice was strong and carried something that sounded like authority with it.
"Okay Mr Cafe owner, I think it's about time you got to telling us all why we're here and how did you know who to deliver of those letters to?"
Ren bit down on her coffee cup as soon as she smelled it.
Ahh, a human.
Now wasn't the time. She had to focus on what she was doing here.
However...it was pretty irresistible.
Ren slowly turned her head to Ran and Hayato, who had just entered.
She really didn't care about the flashy Half-Ghoul, she was more focused on the innocent piece of meat beside him.
Ren forced herself to put her coffee down, biting onto her lip.
Patience. Patience. Enjoy the site before the ride.
She kept staring at Ran though and was being a little creepy about it.
Oh well, she was entranced by his delicious appearance anyways.
He was hers.
Lovino couldn't help but to laugh a bit at Ren's joke, before walking back to the counter and landing a kiss on Antonio's cheek, letting out a small growl and going off into the kitchen. If there was something Lovino was protective of, it was Antonio. Feliciano shook Ren's hand. "Nice to meet you." Feliciano said happily. Two more people entered, however, one of them was human. Feliciano couldn't help but to purse his lips. He was sure he hadn't given the letter to any humans. The poor thing had just entered in the worst possible moment. Feliciano picked up Hayato's letter, and once it was confirmed, he burnt it along with the rest of the letters. The sun was setting down. They were starting to run out of time. "Right. I think it is time we get down to business." Feliciano said, glancing up at Antonio, before whispering something to his ear. He then nudged over at Ran's direction. Antonio nodded, walking over to the only other human in the room. "Hey there. You kind of just entered into a club meeting, but I can serve you if you're hungry." Antonio said. Before Ran could complain, or say anything of the matter, Antonio started to whisk him away to the back of the counter over to the kitchen. "Come right in here, that way we don't have to bother the club." Antonio said cheerfully. Whether the human found out that they were Ghouls or not, Antonio would find out, and that would end up determining his fate. After all, they were some of the last ghouls left. Once Ran was taken to the kitchen, Lovino walked out with his brother, and Feliciano cleared his throat. "I wish to thank you all for coming. As for how did I know your identities, my brother and I have been investigating for the past couple of months. Plus we have talked to some people, other ghouls among us, and once we were sure that we had tracked down a ghoul, we delivered the letters personally. As for how, well, you might've not noticed us when we slipped the letter underneath your doors or inside your pockets." Feliciano explained. Suddenly, Lovino pipped up. "We've brought you all here for an obvious reason; the Ghoul race is dying out. I know that it has been a fight for survival all on our own, everyone for themselves, however it is starting to become concerning. Ghouls are getting killed and taken away, and unless we do something, we will find ourselves dying into extinction." Lovino hissed, his tone challenging Alice's. "We are, some of the last of the Aogiri Tree members. Our goal has shifted. We no longer are an extremist group. We simply wish to help the Ghoul race survive before the CCG ends up killing everyone. We asked you to come here because...we wish for you to join and help us take back the districts of Tokyo. We have plans that could possibly lead us to victory against the CCG, but we lack the numbers to even try it. I understand if you do not wish to be involved, but we promise you that we can make it worth your time, even as dangerous as this can be." Feliciano explained ever so softly.
Feeling the gaze of a customer, Ran barely noticed a pale, slender girl before staring in his direction before being pushed into the kitchen. Entranced by her beautiful appearance, he took a few seconds before realizing he had ingrediants and coffe beans in front of him. "Hmm..." He said rather plainly, suspicious to the sudden meeting but not wanting to draw attention to it, "Prosciutto sandwich with a mocha latte and flan de queso."
Antonio happily served up Ran his order, serving him the mocha latte first as he went on to make the sandwich. "Sorry that I had to hurry you in here. The club doesn't like interruptions of any kind." Antonio said cheerfully, holding a knife to cut up the sandwich and decided to keep it close, in case he had to hush Ran down if he suspected anything. If he were to be caught helping Ghouls, it would be a death sentence, torture, maybe worse. But he knew that even the Ghouls had their good side. He had to help them if he could. He gave Ran a plate with the sandwich. "The flan should be ready in a few. I just made a new batch just a few minutes ago." Antonio said, taking a seat. "I'm Antonio, by the way. I'm the owner of this cafe. My boyfriend was that cutie with green eyes over there."
Hayato smirked rather rudely, almost taking it as his queue to speak. "If Aogiri has plans, then they'll need a One Eyed King, right~?" Biting down on his tongue, the boy's single kakugan eye emerged abruptly as he rested his chin on the back of his hand. "Don't mistake my help though, I'm simply here to learn more about Eto and annihilate those CCG trash. It's been a while since little~old~me had some fun in the front lines."
Lovino couldn't help but to scoff at Hayato's appearance. "A one-eyed." Lovino hissed. Feliciano gently patted his brother's shoulder and turned to Hayato. "We used to have messages smuggled in and out of the CCG's Holding Cells from lady Eto. However such messages have stopped coming for over a year now. Whether our contact has been discovered and disposed of or Eto has...been taken care of, we do not know. We have been on our own ever since. As for any king, since her capture and the diminishing numbers of our agents there has been no definitive ruler assigned to the Aogiri Tree. Right now it is simply a collection of Ghouls and Ghoul sympathetic humans who are scattered in between helping and trying not to get caught." Feliciano explained. He turned to the kitchen, moving something around the cabinets as he then taped what seemed to be a map of the city onto the wall so the rest could see. He turned back to the group. "We are desperate for help and members. But whether you will be willing to help or not should be determined tonight." Feliciano said. Lovino stepped up. "A shipment of captured ghouls, including children, have been transferred from outside of the country into the city. The rest of the world has their own ways of handling Ghouls, but it appears that the CCG has been tasked to take any spare ghouls that they can get their hands on. If you decide to help us, our mission would be to stop them before they reach the HQ, and help them escape from capture." Lovino explained. "We have a schedule from one of our sources. The shipment should be delivered tonight from the docks to the HQ. We only have a window of time in between to stop them in a location where we can make sure they can escape. In exchange you may be allowed to eat the CCG members that we might capture in the mission." Feliciano explained. Lovino shuffled through his coat and settled down an envelope, opening it to show different kinds of pictures. Some were basic profile ones, while others looked to be to belong to an album of some sort. "Their families have contacted us with desperate pleas...this is what we're aiming for tonight."
Nodding silently, the aroma of the sandwich filled Ran's senses as he hastily took a large bite. Delectable. The thin slices of cured prosciutto blended quite wonderfully with the robust, aged cheese and vegetables, the 9-grain honey oat bread serving as an appealing canopy to the insides. Drooling quite a bit, he couldn't help but smile. He enjoyed the delicacy that was placed into food, and to lose one's taste would be a true tragedy. Taking a sip out of the mocha latte, it was held in high standards, a dark chocolate bitterness that blended well with the previous salty flavor of his meal. "Thank you very much, I can't wait to taste it." Ran replied, wiping his mouth with a napkin which bore the cafe's logo. "Nice catch, how long have you two known each other?"
Shadows formed in the corners of Hayato's mouth as he grimaced upon hearing the news, or lack thereof, concerning the charming, unkempt woman known as Eto. Just as easily as he was dejected however, his pale, clear eyes suddenly lit up at the prospect of a rescue mission against the CCG. "A chance to slaughter those dogs..." His mind was filled to the brink, calculating his options, forming a rather frightful expression on his face. If a high ranked investigator was part of the escorting, they could be interrogated for further information. Human bodies would only endure so much, a lesson he knew personally. "You can sign me up, it sounds lovely. I'm glad to see that their parents haven't failed in raising those dear, lost ones."
"Two years." Antonio chimed. He was rather proud at that fact. He truly loved Lovino. He was grumpy and indeed, a ghoul. But he had gotten to know him, and thanks to him he had seen what was it like for Ghouls to live in a world where they were hunted. Without a family of his own he considered Lovino his world. He would do anything to help him. Even now he realized that the CCG was no longer just interested in the welfare of the people, but had taken this to the next level and turned it into a game. A disturbing and inhuman one. "We agreed that once we're done studying we'll definitely get married. Though I'm not telling him when I'm proposing." Antonio said, standing up once more as he went ahead and took out the delicious looking flan, serving it and gently adding the sweetness of caramel to make it better. He picked up the plate and walked over to the client, setting down the dessert for Ran. "Here you go~" Antonio chimed. "Hey, I have a silly question." He began, humming as he walked around behind Ran, heading across the kitchen just behind Ran. "What do you think of Ghouls?"
Shadows formed in the corners of Hayato's mouth as he grimaced upon hearing the news, or lack thereof, concerning the charming, unkempt woman known as Eto. Just as easily as he was dejected however, his pale, clear eyes suddenly lit up at the prospect of a rescue mission against the CCG. "A chance to slaughter those dogs..." Lovino glanced over at his brother with concern. "Non mi fido di questo, fratello." Lovino murmured to his young brother. "Lo so. Ma non abbiamo scelta. Gli unici altri ghoul sinistra sono solo bambini e genitori. Non possiamo coinvolgerli. Dobbiamo lavorare con quello che abbiamo." Feliciano answered back. He was the more level-headed of the two, and the most trusting. Right now, they needed to work with what they could get by and hope that they could free their leader, Eto...or even hope that she was even alive. "Thank you. We are most grateful for your help." Feliciano chimed. He then turned to the young woman. "Will you help us as well?"
