Enix 995 Posted January 8, 2016 I been thinking about this lately and I wanted to say this. What's use having the random section when everyone takes it "too seriously"? Seriously, it's like no one notices the description for the random section anymore. Let me say it for just for you. "The fun and games section. Discuss ANYTHING just be silly. This is your chance to make a thread about anything at all!" It's quite annoying that people come on the random section and taking things extremely serious. Even worse, they block the person for the joke. I mean, wtf? If you were annoyed/pissed off or don't find it funny at all because of the certain thread, would it makes sense to simply ignore the thread and move on? Nobody is forcing you to click on that thread. Plus, this is the random section. 99% of threads on this section of full of nonsense, and rarely serious about anything. Here's a full blown-on example of the random section in literal nutshell. I also would like to say this again, if there's a joke that you don't find funny in the slightest bit, you don't need to block them. Blocking them because of a little joke proves that you're worse than them. Because a normal person would normally say something like "I don't find it funny because ______" and move on. No need to block. Unless you're living the fancy life and think others users are unworthy peasants(Which is unlikely), or they're bothering you. Just saying. 1 Philip Ellwell reacted to this
Jake 1,488 Posted January 8, 2016 It's not that we can't take a joke or anything, it's the fact that you try too hard and troll. Simple as that. The discussions you make in the random section are honestly just yelling out 'I am a troll, you guys are stupid!'. If you actually didn't try too hard to be a troll, none of us would have a problem. 2 Nero Kunivas and Enix reacted to this
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted January 8, 2016 i feel like sometimes people see the name of one of your threads in the "Recent Topics" column and they don't realize it's in the random section until they've already posted an angry response, or sometimes they don't realize it at all. i say this because i know it used to happen to me a lot. if you're already in the forum, the "Recent Topics" column doesn't show which section the new thread was made, so if you make a troll topic with a realistic name then people are going to assume it's real, read what you wrote and take it seriously. like i said, it used to happen to me but now i make sure to check where the thread was made before posting my thoughts. so that's another possibility to consider. Some people don't see it's in the random section, though some do and still get mad because of what I said previously. It's just a matter of how people see you and your wording on threads. Rinax 473 Posted January 8, 2016 Every time I think the topic seems trolly or a joke, I check the section its in before I post. It usually goes: "Wow, what's wrong with this person? Is this in random??!" ... <checks> "Oh. Nevermind. LOL."
Soul_Seeker 753 Posted January 8, 2016 I've learned to deal with trolling and just accept it as long as it's not really bad or insulting.
