Is there a possibility Mysterious Tower has been seperated from Twilight Town in KH3?

Recommended Posts

Alright, so I might catch a lot of flack for this, but never the less it was something I just observed so I felt it would be something worth talking over. Now, I know Yen Sid's tower has appeared in several Kingdom Hearts games since 2, such as Birth by Sleep and 3D, but in the most recent trailer from Jump Festa it's notable that the train tracks are not present in the footage that was given to us. Now I'm sure you guys are probably like, "The train was really only for plot convenience and they group the worlds together for that reason as well!" Blah blah blah. However, the past two games that Yen Sid's tower has been in have technically taken place in the past and don't show too much evidence, with Symphony of Sorcery having it as it as it's own word and taking place way before Mickey meets Sora and Riku. As well as Birth by Sleep having only Yen Sid's tower present. Now, KH3 has been the first game in the series to include both Twilight Town and Mysterious Tower since KH2, so could it be safe to say these world no longer connected as of KHIII? It was just something on my mind so sorry for my rambling. =3=

They were never connected to begin with so saying that they aren't anymore is moot.

Actually they were connected by the train station in Twilight Town.

Were they in KH2? I must have forgotten that. I don't know if not seeing it anymore means anything. It could mean that they use a different mean of getting there.

The Mysterious Tower was only accessible in KH2 by the use of Twilight Town. So they were connected in the world map, but not exactly in them being connected together at the same place. It's a special case, but honestly they could be considered connected in KH2 because the way the story and the world map goes. But I think that they might not have Twilight Town be "connected" to Mysterious Tower and they both be separate places on the world map because Mysterious Tower will now be playing a much more important role in the game of KH3, since that is the place where the warriors of light will most likely go to meet up, like how Xehanort will probably have his team be located to meet somewhere like TWTNW or Keyblade Graveyard.

That's it! How come I didn't think that?:P

I think you make a pretty good point there. They also could be doing intermingling with plot lines of Twilight Town and Mysterious Tower like they did briefly at the beginning of 2, but it's anyone's guess at this point.

i never thought they were really connected outside of the means of reaching that world from Twilight Town. it was probably more convenient to let the player continue to access that world through Twilight Town than to create a new spot on the map for it.

basically you're introduced to The Mysterious Tower by riding the train so it makes sense to keep that transportation consistent throughout the game. dropping it after one mention would be a waste considering it's such a small world to explore anyways. of course now the issue is easier to get around since there have been games where we visit Mysterious Tower without stopping by Twilight Town on the way.

That train was pretty odd to start....it makes one assume the connection between Twilight town and Mysterious Tower

What if the Mysterious tower is like the Room of Requirement? (It appears randomly as needed)

Is there any relationship between that train and one of Sora's attraction Flow attacks in KH3?

I think each time someone rides it, there should be somebody to announce in a voice over "The train that crosses dimensions, will its next destination be the past? Or Future? <Insert cue to play the song 'CLIMAX JUMP' by AAA>

That sounds awesome to be honest.

I don't think they are the same world; however both worlds are located in the Realm Inbetween so there is a connection- also who knows what is actually in Twilight Town- I mean we have by no means explored the whole town; we can see a mountain in the distance which suggests there is something beyond ( actually have a mini theory that Destiny Islands is on the other side; symbolic of the other side of Sora's heart) and a vast woodland area. So whilst they are likely separate worlds, who actually knows?
