I honestly wonder if KH3 didn't skip the PS3..

I think you mean "would" rather than "will". And chances are that they would have just used the same engine that they had used for every other game in the series.

If we say this is the past, for KH3 to come out retroactively sooner than it is now (before the release of the PS4) I would think they'd use the Crystal Tools Engine they made in house, considering it was going to be used for Versus which was essentially FF KH style.

They aren't making it for the PS3

He knows that. He meant he's wondering what engine they'd use for KH3 if they had developed it in the PS3 era instead of the PS4 era.

I'm assuming it would have used the Luminous Engine, because that's what it was initially going to use on the PS4.

It was initially going to, yes, but (APPARENTLY) Square Enix made an inside decision to only allow FFXV to use the Luminous Engine until they knew for sure that it works well. I think it was that and the fact that it's also hard to develop on. I could be wrong, so anyone feel free to correct me.

The PS3 can't handle what they planned for KH3 and besides, Nomura said that because of the time it took for everything else to be done, the PS4 became the big thing.

Yeh it could just with a lower power :).

I have seen great games with great graphics.
