XxUtopiaxX 49 Posted January 4, 2016 Introduction ------------------------- ~A hundred years ago.. A war was waged.. between man and demon.. Man and godbeast fought as it were.. in the Land of Ur.. However, at the peak of Armageddon, the end of man's legend.. A man, one man, slayed the host of evil. His name unsaid As he disappeared from sight..~ LETS BEGIN! Lance -------- "Now, it's established that an arrow needs to be magically enhanced in order to shoot elemental powers. However, what if I told you that even this theory was false? Take fire, for example. Regular arrows would normally be burned through once it comes into contact with fire. But, recent scientific discoveries prove that to be false! There is a material that can withstand the burn!" The teacher lectured so passionately. Lance remained asleep on a desk in class, bored out of his mind. "Battle Magic and Modern Alchemy" was one of his most hated classes out of the college of Ur. "Mr. Aetrlux," The teacher called out to him. Lance slowly arose in response to the teacher's call. "What is that material?" The teacher asked him. "Dunno," Lance replied, yawning disrespectfully. "That material is Lead. Now, if you reviewed your notes last night, then maybe you'd be able to answer the question correctly! Honestly, why do you even come to class?!" The teacher shouted back aggressively causing the class to laugh at him in response. The whole class saw him as a failure.. but he didn't care.. At least, that's what he told himself.. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 5, 2016 Battle Magic and Modern Alchemy. A very useless class for her. She was a swordsman, not a magic user. But the counselors and such said she had to take this class due to her small use of magic. She also brewed potions sometimes as well, so that is why. There were not that many Reapers that were planning to be warriors, mainly because of they strict code they live up to. Aria may hate this class, but she works hard in every single one of her classes. She would not laugh at the boy who messed up, he should have been paying attention. If she could just get a look at his lineage. If Aria enjoys anything, it is the simple fact that see gets to see other people's business.
Atrias 19 Posted January 5, 2016 (Not the most perfect introduction but since the starting point was a little hard to try and include the two otherwise.) "Remind me again why we're doing this?" Said Shaun as he gave Marcus a leg up to reach the edge which the younger sibling used to pull himself upward. The two were just scaling the fence that lead to the collage grounds. Specifically the nearest possible area to the library. "If we could find out about the spring anywhere it's either this or we get kicked out like the last four times." After that was said Shaun jumped over with his amplified muscles and proceeded to sneak to their goal. Not knowing exactly where they'd have to go the best bet was to find a window which would lead them to their desired location. "You know the drill if we get caught?" The elder brother asked wanting to confirm the backup plan. "Yeah yeah. You're a student who is leaving class due to a family emergency." Was the reply he got. He then nodded and came close to the colleges wall where he once again made the leg up maneuver only this time with superhuman strength allowing Marcus to soar up high enough to catch the corner of the building roof and let down a rope he had been carrying around. Once they were both topside Shaun tied the rope around the younger brother's waist and lowering him down so he could take a peek through the windows. The child looked with fascination into every room they passed and one in particular was intriguing enough for him to say: "Stop." "What? You found it?" Asked Shaun who kept both hands on the rope ready to pull up. "No but there's a teacher here that talks a lot like the priest back home. Passion over the most boring stuff imaginable." He answered and stuck out his tongue towards the man giving lectures. After the elder brother sighed and wanted to begin moving along he was met with a surprise as the thing holding his little brother up slipped from his hands. Luckily he reached at it again and caught it before it went to far. "You fine down there?" He yell-whispered receiving a reply. "I'm fine. Let's keep moving." XxUtopiaxX 49 Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) (I'm gonna pick it up just a little if you guys don't mind) WORLD EVENTS -------------------------- "And make sure my room is dusted as well," The king told his servants as they exited the throne room. The king of Ur sat quietly on his immense and majestic throne. soldiers were stationed to the left and right of him decked in metal plates of armor and weaponry. The sun beamed down from the ceiling, which was just a huge glass window. Usually, the room would be darker seeing that the throne room was decked in a grey and purple color. "My lord!" A knight cried out from outside the giant doors leading to the throne room. The doors busted open with the knight panting and wheezing from running. The king raised his hand to initiate the order to execute the knight "on-spot". It was highly illegal for such behavior to take place without the king's permission. "Wait! My lord!" The knight raised his hands high and fell to his knees. "It's urgent! An emergency! The battlefield.." The knight paused. The king put his hand down. "Go on," he said. "My lord, forgive my intrusion, however, our men are outnumbered out there. We are quickly losing ground," The knight explained. The king stroked his dark, bushy beard. "In that case, I will send in more reinforcements. Is that all?" The king replied. The knight gulped. "No... sir..." The knight paused. "They have.. an Aegis...." The king's eyes shot wide open immediately. He looked at his scribe, who was standing there in-between the guard of soldiers. "Send out a decree immediately! The king summons all Knights, Squires, and last-year Pages to fight this war against the extinction of our race!" The king ordered. "But sir.. All of our Squires have been reported to be away from the kingdom to train with and accompany a voyaging knight. Then there's the situation with the Page exams next week, sir," The scribe responded. The king's adviser, Amid Thanatos, stepped forward. "Sir if I may, I believe you should summon all Knights now, and send the graduated Pages after the exams. If we are to go about this wisely, we should go about it without wasting children's blood," Amid advised. The king contemplated this ideal for a little while. "I see," He said turning to the scribe once again. "I want you to send a decree that summons all knights to the throne room. We need all the skill we can get," The king commanded the scribe. The scribe nodded and left to do her work. "We need to be fast and efficient. Or we could all die," The king said. Lance ---------- Amidst the laughter and mockery, one girl caught his eye. She neither laughed nor smiled at the teacher's cruel insults. Aria was her name he believed. A very interesting personality he could possibly get lost in. Well.. he always kept himself away from girls because he wanted to focus on becoming a Wizard Knight. "Alright class. This period is over! Now if you will, move to the training grounds for your next class in Swordsmanship and Battle Magic Applications class," The teacher said, concluding his lecture. Lance got up immediately and began to leave the classroom. However, a strange boy at the window sticking his tongue out towards the class. "Huh.. that's something you don't see everyday," Lance said. Convinced that he was just "seeing stuff", however, Lance shook it off. Maybe a good exercise like the next class will clear his head. Atrias 19 Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) (I'm fine with the increased pace) Shaun kept walking along until he couldnt hold anymore on regular terms and he was also afraid of what may happen if he used physiomancy. "I'm pulling you up!" "Why? I think we can find it." "Do you want broken limbs?" With that he pulled the younger brother up. "I think someone noticed us." commented Marcus who was disappointed his sightseeing trip was over. "Will he react?" "I don't think so. But maybe we should get inside and see if we can find a way there." He sat down and held up his head with his left arm. This implied he was thinking and not in a unproductive manner. "How do you expect to get inside without getting noticed?" "Every academy has a drill area or something ... I think i saw there was a clear area somewhere so we should be fine from there." He shrugged in reply. Shaun was still worried what would happen with the witness but his little brother was right just hanging around wont do much good. Pangoro "Sen" 445 Posted January 7, 2016 Mark got up from his desk and walked over to Lance, still snickering. He was happy that class was over, though he didn't care about that right now. At the moment, he only cared about wanting to tease Lance a bit, which he did from time to time. Mark never really meant anything by it though. "Well well, the Ever-Bored Lance strikes the body of the sleep once again!" Mark spoke in his typical tone when he was joking around with others, that being half-jester, and half-dramatic. "Now c'mon, we're gonna be late if you slack off. Unless, poor Ever-Bored is still too drowsy?"
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 8, 2016 Aria gathered her little bags and brushed the hair out of her face some. She began to leave but something caught her ear. Aria calmly approached Mark and Lance before looking to Mark. "Oi. Find something better to do with your life before us Reapers snatch it away." She scold, turning to Lance and bowing slightly to him. "Though getting enough sleep is vital to any body. Think about that." She added in, then casually walking out, heading to her favorite class. XxUtopiaxX 49 Posted January 8, 2016 Lance turned his head towards Mark as he yawned. "Well it isn't my fault that this class is so boring!" Lance replied as he stretched his arms. Had Mark not been a friend of his, Lance would've probably ignored him. "Oi. Find something better to do with your life before us Reapers snatch it away," A voice scolded the two. It was Aria, the same girl that crossed his mind. "Oh, thanks... Aria," Lance replied trying to sound calm. She walked out after advising him to get some rest. Lance let out a slight sigh. When it came to girls, he was a complete loser. He turned to Mark. "Let's.. get out of here," Lance said to him. TRAINING GROUNDS --------------------------------- There had already been people sparring against each other, showing that Lance and Mark had been late. "Alright everyone remember the Page exams start the beginning of next week! That means three days from now!" The battle instructor, Sir Vance, shouted. Atrias 19 Posted January 8, 2016 "Ok this'll be a pain." Said Shaun who was looking down at the training area. It was actually quite funny in his opinion since some of the people sparring were using predetermined moves and responses. He couldn't help but roll his eyes at this and think 'it's fighting not dancing'. "Cmon big bro you could go down there and show all those guys the back end of your boot." Marcus commented giving a slight push that ended up disrupting balance a little. "You want us to get caught?" "You want to get caught without an excuse like: We really wanted to see everything?!" Was the swift reply he received. The two raised fists. "Rock paper scissors." Both said simultaneously and revealed the result. Shaun had paper whilst Marcus had scissors. "You've got to be kidding me ..." He said his voice lowering whilst his younger sibling smirked and tossed the rope. "Go on two just arrived so late students are common. During class find a way to sneak out and find the library. I'll wait for you here. Say you're new and got lost and above all say you're from uh .... Make up a noble family and say they sent you with a delay." Shaun then tied the rope to a statue in the facade and quickly lowered himself down whilst Marcus giggled at what he had just done. He wasn't sure who to worry about: the students or his brother. The elder made his descent just fast enough nobody would notice and quietly crept around making it look like he just arrived. A gulp was all it took before he made his way through the crowd carefully avoiding the instructor.

XxUtopiaxX 49 Posted January 10, 2016 (At the beach. Will only be able to reply in two days. Just so you know why im not posting.) (Gotcha) "Ow," Lance gripped his arm. "You're gonna pay for that one!" He shouted playfully. Lance ran up to the rack which held an assortment of wooden swords, daggers, shields, bows, dummy arrows, and blanks for pistols. Lance just picked up a sword and walked to an open space. He preferred to use his magic along with his sword. "Best be ready Mark!" Lance shouted out to him, releasing a small amount of dark mana from his free hand. WORLD EVENTS -------------------------- "Survival here is worth, more than you can see. Reach towards the light.. Darkness.. it will flee," A mysterious man recited a verse in the book he was reading. "Ya just couldn't leave that home could you?" Another voice of what sounded like a girl said beside him. "Human literature has never failed to amuse me," The man replied. "What's important here is that this mission is successful. This moment could change the the tide of battle in our favor," said another man next to them. He looked much taller than the other two. The other two replied with a nod. The three were covered in dark cloaks, so it was hard to make out their faces. The Kingdom of Ur was in sight, situated in the middle of a dusty battlefield. * * * Location: Kingdom of Ur's outer walls. Knights are currently on the lookout for enemies. "Always keep an eye open. We don't know when the enemy will appear," Captain Reeves said to the his men. He was in charge of scouting out incoming enemies and warn the king to prepare for battle. "Uh, sir? There are three unidentified bodies approaching the kingdom. What are our orders?" A scouting knight shouted concernedly. Reeves took up a binoculars and viewed in the same direction the knight was looking. Indeed, there were three bodies walking towards the kingdom. Reeves turned away and towards his men. "Archers, prepare your arrows at those three people! Scouting knights, report this to the king." Reeves commanded. Meanwhile.... KING'S THRONE ROOM All of the kingdom's Wizard Knights were gathered in the throne room, just as the king had ordered. "Kneel before your king!" Amid commanded. Immediately, the Wizard Knights and Amid knelt before the king. The king stood up and paced left to right. "I have called you all here today for a very special mission." The king paused. "Our enemies have uncovered an ancient and powerful Supermagic, called Aegis, that could destroy this kingdom in one fell swoop. You will all be transported via magic teleportation, to our closest checkpoint to the enemy kingdom.. which is approximately 500 miles. Your mission is to either steal or destroy that power. Your reward for success? Riches and knowledge beyond your wildest dreams," The king announced. He then looked over to Amid. " 'Tis time," The king told him. Amid nodded and left to get preparations ready for mass magic teleportation.

Mark had always enjoyed fighting with Lance, be it the occasional argument or sparring such as this. Mark walked to several paces in front of Lance, getting into what seemed to be a relaxed stance, though Mark was as tense as thinks he would be in an actual battle. "Heh, ready when you are, Lance!" Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 11, 2016 The only real problem Aria had with this sparring class, was that she couldn't actually use her sword. There is actually a big difference between real swords, and wooden ones. Just destroying dummies didn't really fulfill her blood thirst. She'd only be able to collect the souls of the people she fights, so it technically against the reaper's rules to only collect a select few souls. Aria doesn't always follow the rules. But she did love this class when she got the chance to duel somebody. (I legit have no idea what to post lol)

Though Lance and Mark were known for going a bit "overboard", Lance wasn't concerned about Aria. She was one of the top students at the academy. With that, Lance took a battle stance. The battle had begun. "Darkness Materialize: Shadow Blade!" Lance shouted. He place his free hand on his shadow and pulled out a complete replica of his wooden sword. He then charged at Mark, his left hand with the wooden sword ready to either swing or clash and his right hand with the conjured blade for defense.

Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 12, 2016 Alexander Cruz - Training ground "Ah yes, Darkness objects." Alexander said walking into the area, without his fedora or his coat to hide his face, well they were at hand but he wasn't using them. "An interesting power, I forgot you had such a skill Lance." Alexander commented as he finished entering the room, without his greatsword, he simply went over to the pile of greatswords the other students no doubt left. "Tch" he soon found what he was looking for, a wooden greatsword replica, he never bothered training much with one handed blades, as he wielded his greatsword with one hand anyway, and the wooden greatsword was no different, it even weighted less, obviously. "I do hate to intrude but, if I may have permission I invite Aria to a duel, she looks rather...bored." He said holding the wooden greatsword on his back. "What do you say Aria?" Alexander asked her. Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 12, 2016 - Alexander Cruz - "Well not the most classy or even the most good looking weapon, but it gets the job done...with astounding efficiency." Alexander said as stretched his free arm for a second. "A rapier huh? fast, precise and effective weapon overall, not very commonly used, but one of the most interesting types of weapons, specially when used by skillfull wielders" Alexander gave his opinion on Aria's rapier. "Lets begin." Alexander said as he dashed forward at her, with impressive speed, spinning around, using the momentum to swing the sword in a diagonal slash towards Aria. "Don't disappoint!" He commented.
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted January 12, 2016 "Why would I disappoint?" Aria questioned, dropping down and skidding across the ground. Thankfully Aria was dressed out for this class so nothing important to her would get dirty. She parried to the left of Alexander, clashing their wooden swords together. Aria hated how big the great sword was compared to her tiny rapier. "Unbreakable Soul." She whispered, guaranteeing the efficiency of her weapon.

Even though Mark loves the thrill of battle, he would have a completely serious tone when it came to physical combat. Be it sparring or otherwise, Mark took his battles seriously. Which is probably why they tend to go overboard. "Tch," Lance let out before attempting to escape Mark's reversal. He quickly pointed the conjured sword downwards, turning it into a coiled spring that propelled him upward towards the sky. However, he had been cut a bit because the reversal was unexpected and fast. "You never make it easy for me huh?" Lance shouted from the sky. He raised one hand upwards. "Darkness Materialization: Black Hammer!" Lance shouted. He dropped his sword and held a conjured black warhammer, just about doubled in size compared to a regular warhammer. "Try and reverse this one!" Lance shouted, crashing the hammer down at Mark while he was in the air himself. OUTSIDE KINGDOM'S WALLS ----------------------------------------------- "You there! Identify yourselves!" A scout knight shouted at the three individuals. Archers surrounded the walls, arrows loaded at the individuals. "Look at that Red.. You're already causing trouble," The tallest one, code-named Blue, shouted. "Well it wouldn't have had to be this way if you weren't so tall! This isn't a stealth mission at all!" Red, who was the female, replied. "Stealth was never in the mission description. It's what we preferred. Now, we'll just go as the mission entails. Total Annihilation," The last one, code-nammed Yellow, reminded them. He put away his book. "Lets give em a show. Blue?" Yellow said. "Right on it," Blue replied walking in front of the two. He summoned a great amount of mana around him. "Let's do this!" Blue shouted. "Fire!" The scout captain shouted. The archers wasted no time in firing their arrows. They pretty much covered the sky. However, Blue paid them no mind. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, a yellow shield made of light surrounded the three above, repelling the arrows away. Blue charged his fist with mana, standing in a turned horse stance. "Azue Fist of the North Star!" Blue shouted, releasing the fist and punching towards the kingdom's walls. A huge stream of magic, almost looking like fire, emitted from Blue's fist. The magic made contact with the wall, piercing and tearing a hole through it. What was really suspicious was that the magic was cold and freezing below temperatures, but burned a hole through the wall at the same time. "Red, let's go," Yellow said, conjuring small yellow cubes to allow him to walk on air. "Right," Red followed him using blue flames to propel her upwards. The two landed on the top of the walls causing mayhem, and killing the soldiers. "Where's our reinforcements?!!" The captain shouted. "Our messenger left about half an hour ago! He should be there in no time now!" A scout shouted. THRONE ROOM ------------------------- The wizard knights in the throne room disappeared as they were teleported via mass magic teleportation chamber. The king threw himself back on his throne and let out a sigh. "I'm sure they'll succeed, sir," Amid reassured him. "Hmm," The king replied, deep in thought. "My lord!" A scout shouted from outside the throne room. The king had forgotten to order the throne room doors closed, so he allowed the scout in. The scout instantly fell to his knees, out of breath. "Speak," The king said impatiently. "My lord. Our kingdom's outer walls may be under attack. There are three intruders outside of our walls. We request reinforcements," The scout reported. The king pondered this over. The timing was almost too perfect. An attack when he literally just sent all his valuable reinforcements out to battle. At the moment, there was nothing he could do. Atrias 19 Posted January 12, 2016 Marcus gazed with wide eyes at everything happening. It looked so flashy to him he said internally 'Wow'. Shaun on the other hand was so annoyed with a few things he had it. Finally he hesitantly wandered towards the back and found a quarterstaff when he felt a hand tuch his back. A mental note said 'CRAP' But when the guy said. "Hey there buddy. You wanna try me?" He was a tall guy carrying two maces and seemed to be on steroids since birth. The second he sized him up however he smirked. "Sure." He replied keeping a wimp-like posture. He saw him fight earlier He used an overly simplistic style of bashing and pushing his opponent to where they couldn't move. They got up and as soon as both nodded the larger one flew across the courtyard within the first punch. Before the victory could be savored he figured out someone will probably notice a guy the size of an elephant fly across the training grounds. As that happened he felt a few gazes directed at him. Luckily he still wasn't found out. Marcus could barely contain his laughter up on the roof. He had to hold both hands in front of his mouth so as not to let anyone hear him. As he did so the best thing he could think of was keeping an eye downwards and hope the little outburst would go unnoticed.

He had to admit, small swords had a better advantage at parrying than a greatsword, while a greatsword has great blocking potential, it wasn't the same as parrying. "So, do you have any magic?" Alexander asked as he jumped back after breaking out of the clash, disappearing in the blink of an eye with usage of void magic, quickly reapearing behind Aria with a horizontal swing, aimed at her torso from. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Well this was not how she had imagined her day would go. A quick trip to the walls to help with repairs and suddenly there were intruders. Viola moved past several soldiers that were bustling the opposite direction. She held her wand tightly in her right hand, ready for an attack. She made it to the top of the walls, and was greeted by a site of chaos. Corpses lay as the two assailants wept the floor with the soldiers on duty. In a moment, Viola had drawn a six-pointed star in the air with her wand, glyphs appearing at each point and intersection. "Hexastellar Flame!" She cast the spell, each glyph then summoning a fireball and they all flew straight towards the intruders. Edited January 13, 2016 by Emerald Sustrai
