What do you consider "Good trolling"

Recommended Posts

So lately, I been constantly hearing the same thing every single day. ”Bad trolling”. What do you considered good trolling then? A comedy stand with a puppet? I'm simply curious.

What an oddly specific question. I'm no master of comedy but I'd probably mark humor which hurts no one to be the best, like little pranks that don't offend anyone?

Case in point those purposely bad power points with comic sans, etc...

This probably hasn't helped much at all sorry ;; but I'd stick to stuff that keeps people in a good mood.

When you said comic sans, i immediately thought of one of my favorite characters, Sans, who is literally named after the same font. Edited by PrincessHearts25

I don't get a kick out of messing with people online, so I don't consider most if any trolling 'good'. Even if the victim in question has it coming (though I think it takes a certain kind of person to decide that someone "deserves" harassment), trolling them doesn't exactly show them the error of their ways or teach them a lesson -- if anything, the harassment just gives the victim an even bigger victim complex, making them a bigger target and just making the problem worse and worse for the sake of lulz. You lose either way so why do it?

Okay, so to everybody saying that trolling is bad and that you shouldn't do it, listen up! Cause I'm gonna show you what a good troll is like!

There's this one guy named Stephen Georg, who posts a lot of stuff to YouTube. One of those things are vlogs, one for everyday of his life. One of the people that shows up in these vlogs is a friend of Stephen's, a young woman named Hayley. Hayley also goes buy TheKubliest on sites like YouTube and Twitter.

Hayley would constantly make comments regarding Stephen's relationship status(which is obviously single if you just watch the vlog), or who certain people were(again, would be obvious if anybody just watched). She would constantly comment these things, intentionally I might add. What she didn't intend for were people actually falling for it.

So basically, be a troll that makes unaware people simply try and correct her with no harm done, and makes aware people laugh their butts off.

There's no such thing.

Yeah. I mean trolling isn't exactly a well intentioned concept. For example Nomura in an interview basically said I know KH3's release, but I am not telling you. He could have said we have a clue of the release, but it may change to keep it vague. Alas, he did not. He tries to use it in a well intentioned way, but it never is because you kill us fans.

Trolling is basically lying, which lying is a sin, and sinning is bad, so...

Trolling is mainly bad.

HOWEVER! There is one exception: Super Mario Maker. That game let's you make traps all over the place, like placing enemies in blocks or creating doors that lead the player to their doom. That's the fun and not-so-bad trolling. Of course, people may react differently depending on age, past experiences, and how much stress they have at that time. Most often that last reason. If someone's in a bad mood, don't try to troll them.

Rock on!
