Roleplay Kuroshitsuji: Book of Roses

Samael smiled. "It is. Today is especially pretty with all of these festivities for the butterflies. I wonder if they'll all be monarch butterflies." Samael asked as he smiled at Aya. Following the two, a seemingly innocent looking rabbit watched them as it hopped from place to place. "It will be a bit hard to kill them off in such a public place...but it will make for a terrible, heart breaking accident witnessed by so many~" The rabbit whispered in its mind, blinking as its red eyes never left Aya's gaze. Samael could be disposable. But the main target was Aya.

Alexander looked over at Veran. "What idea?" Alexander asked. He wasn't given much of a chance. Before he knew it Veran had done his demonic magic, changing Alexander in a matter of a millisecond. One day he was Alexander in his butler outfit. Another he was...wearing a dress, his hair made up while also wearing a hairpiece and heels. HEELS. "...Veran I am going to kill you." Alexander gasped as he glared at Veran. How come out of the two of them he had to wear the dress?! Sure he looked amazing but still.

"I love blue butterflies." Aya commented, rather excited about the event that was taking place soon.

"What can we do before the event starts?" She asked, looking over at the boats.

Veran could not help letting a devious laugh at Alexander's current appearance.

"Feel free to try...but you are the most suited to be a lady out of the two of us...even though I could change my gender rather easily if I willed, however Aya likes this appearance." Veran smirked at Alexander.

"Now should we go, Lady Alexandra?" The foul beast offered Alexander his left hand, making sure his right did not get dirtied by foul hands, as the hand with the seal was only for Aya.

Samael thought for a moment, and pointed over at the small fenced area. "How about the petting zoo?" Samael asked, smiling as he walked over with Aya over to the petting zoo. Children and adults alike walked around the fenced area to pet the cute little animals that were all around. There were piglets, small sheep, bunnies and somewhere around the back, an alpaca that seemed indifferent of being there and was more occupied at the fact that the kids were feeding it lots of treats. Samael couldn't help but to gush, his eyes gleaming. "Look at them, Aya! They're so tiny!" Samael gasped, picking up a small piglet as it gently squealed. "Owning a farm sounds like it could be fun. Just imagine having a bunch of these running around." Samael said happily as he petted the small piggy.

Alexander gritted his teeth and grabbed Veran's hand. "Well you better start treating me like a lady." Alexander hissed, walking as he dragged Veran over to the petting zoo where their two masters were at. Within the petting zoo, the intelligent bunny watched Aya and Samael. "(Perfect. Now it can be a tragic accident.)" The bunny thought, blinking as from the grass a snake formed, slithering in between, hidden as it hurried to Aya. One bite, and it would be all it would take.

Aya was quite drawn towards the animals, petting a lamb on the top of its head. Maybe she would make a lamb themed dress sometime.

"They are rather cute, but I don't think I could have a farm...it would be a lot of work." Aya sighed, a kid them coming up to feed the lamb as Aya stood.

She pet the piglet in Samael's hands.

"I don't think we are quite suited for farm work anyways." Aya smiled softly at Samael as the snake slithered closer to her.

Veran stepped on the snake's neck, crushing it, as it got far too close to his master as he desired. He swiftly picked it up and threw it towards the lake in the blink of an eye.

"Snake." Veran smirked at Alexander.

"Would you like to hold an animal my lady?" Veran then teased, eyeing the Alpaca in the back.

The snake went flying, which casually caught the attention of Samael as he glanced up. "Is that a balloon?" Samael asked casually. He smiled at Aya. "Yeah, you would be right on that. Lots of work. Maybe if we were born into it, but we're good at what we do as we are. So we keep it up." Samael chuckled. Alexander stared at the Llama, making eye contact as the two seemed to become involved into a staring contest, a goat casually trying to eat Alexander's dress. "Screw you Veran." Alexander hissed, glaring at the llama with all of his might. Samael smiled, as he glanced up. "Oh, they're starting to hand out the boats! Come on, lets go get one!" Samael said gasping with sparkling eyes. He settled the piglet down, holding Aya's hand as he took her to the boats. "(Dammit!)" The bunny thought, hopping out of the area as it slightly followed the couple. "(Wasp. Sting her!)" The bunny thought, a wasp slowly flying over as it aimed its stinger to Aya's neck.

Aya involuntarily held a little tighter onto Samael's hand as they walked towards the boats.

She hadn't been in boats that much, and it was sometimes a scary experience, but she knew Veran was probably somewhere.

Aya opened up her parasol, which stopped the wasp right in its path, hitting it with her parasol actually, not realizing at all she hit it.

Veran, on the other hand, had dragged Alexander to right behind the two, slapping the wasp out of the sky and crushing it under his feet.

"My my...maybe it's not a good idea for you to get out in extremely crowded places, you seem to draw not only people to you, but also insects and snakes..." Veran said rather softly.

"My lady Alexandra." He then added in quickly.

"Shall we get a boat?" Veran asked, giving that disgusting charming smile of his.

Samael gently got onto the rowboat, setting down the tiny basket he had brought with him. He helped Aya on. "Alright. Here we go." Samael said, taking a hold of the rows and beginning to row away into the lake. Alexander scoffed, walking over to the nearest rowboat as he glanced over at Veran. "You're rowing!" He scowled, pointing at him. The rabbit watched from afar, and while hidden in the bushes, turned into a small fairy, throwing a fit. "No no no dammit! My animals are useless!" The small Pucca growled, gripping her hands into fists. She walked over to the edge of the lake. "This is getting ridiculous, to think that they can't even bring harm to a simple little girl!" The fairy grumbled, diving into the lake. "(I'll have to do it myself!)" She concluded, slowly transforming into a large, mean looking crocodile that began to follow the group beneath the water. Samael looked up, the sun just beginning to set. "The buterflies should start waking up soon." Samael said as he stopped once they were around the middle of the lake. He opened up the small basket. "I brought sandwiches and juice if you're hungry." He offered with a smile.

At happily accepted a small sandwich from Samael. There was quiet for a bit between the two as Aya ate.

"Thank you for today Samael." She turned her eyes to him and smiled softly at the Earl.

"I know it wasn't much, but still, thank you. I learned on this previous mission that it's better to do what you want and what you can do when you are alive, and that includes spending time with people whom are close to you." Aya looked towards the setting sun as she said this.

"I sometimes regret becoming the Queen's watchdog...only because it is harder for me to have moments like these." Aya traced her eyes back onto Samael.

"We'll have to make a collaboration outfit based on this event." She then said rather stupidly.

Veran row rather quickly in brisk strokes, trying to keep up with where Aya and Samael were. They slowed their boat down near Aya's, enough to where they could easily eavesdrop.

Veran watched the water as he listened to what they had to say, noticing something rather dark swimming about. Nothing would get in Aya's way right now though. She was happy.

Samael smiled, eating his own sandwich. "Work is one thing. But there always has to be time to relax." Samael said as he looked up at the sun setting. "Being a Watchdog is one of the most important jobs ever. It is secret, and not many people know about it, and those who do know to fear it. Because you are able to being balance and disbalance to the country. You save lives, and you take lives. You're an enigma, and a judge. You choose...what is right and what is wrong. And in a world where so many people do so much wrong...we need someone like that to settle things right. Not everyone can fight against a werewolf, you know?" Samael said with a smile. As the sun was at its peak, from the woods, come in what seemed like a black cloud looming over the rooftops, flying to the lake. But the closer they got, the more you could see the colorful wings contrast against the setting sun. "Look, there they are!" Samael said, watching the butterflies fly in the hundreds, maybe even thousands, across the sky over the lake, causing everyone to be in awe. WHile they were distracted, the mysterious creature crept up right behind the couple's boat. "(Now I get to have lunch too!)" The pucca thought in her crocodile disguise, opening her giant mouth as she aimed to drag Aya down while she was distracted. Alexander glanced over and gasped, shaking at Veran and pointing. "Veran! Crocodile!" He whispered to him, shaking him like crazy.

As people expressed their admiration of the butterflies, Veran took a chance to jump right out of the boat, taking immediate note of Alexander's cries.

There was indeed an alligator in this lake...about to make Veran's meal become its.

Veran quickly removed his tail-coat and vest, pulling down his tie as he pulled the alligator back into the water. Even though he was a demon, he didn't want to get weighed down by clothing. He let out a breath under the water, pulling off his gloves and tie as the alligator sunk down, trying to regain its composure.

His clothes float to the top, Alexander hopefully to get them while he still could.

The seal was visible on his right palm, his weapons still latched to his waist.

Veran wouldn't be able to use the weapons against the alligator, it would be too bloody. He would have to take it on with his fist.

Meanwhile, completely obvious to what was going on, Aya had stood up carefully on the boat, holding onto Samael as she did.

She was in complete awe. They were absolutely beautiful, thousands and thousands of them crossed the sky above her.

She was very happy. Happy she was able to share this experience with Samael.

Even if she determined what was wrong and what was right, Aya still was able to live a life outside of her job.

Life as a girl who was at the proper age to be falling in love.

To be honest, she used to think of it was dumb, but she understands the craze behind it now.

The pucca struggled in the water against Veran. The last thing it expected was for the stupid demon to interrupt personally. It slapped its tail against Veran, barely able to move at all as it felt Veran constantly punch it over and over again with the strength that only a demon could muster. "(Ow, Ow, Ow, OW!)" The pucca thought, unable to properly even open her mouth. It couldn't take it anymore. Suddenly, in a puff of underwater smoke, the pucca revealed it's true form...a small, harmless looking fairy with small wings to match. A being of both malevolent and benevolent intent that could transform into different animals as it watched over their part of nature. The fairy didn't seem shy to speak her mind underwater, glaring at Veran. "How DARE you get in the way of my conquest?! You stupid demon! Who the hell do you think you are?!" The pucca screamed, throwing a tantrum aimed at Veran, regardless of the fact that Veran could have easily squished her like a bug. Alexander watched from above, half of him hoping that demons were actually weak to water and that Veran would suffer and slow death by drowning.Samael watched happily with Aya as the butterflies flew away, slowly disappearing into the sunset. Samael smiled at Aya. "Wasn't it wonderful? We should do it again next year. Maybe we could bring Veran and Alexander along too. They would love to watch the butterflies, surely." Samael picked up one of the rows. "Lets head back. Veran might end up stabbing me with a spoon if I don't return you before bedtime." Samael joked, gently rowing the boat back to shore as the last of the butterflies disappeared into the horizon.

,,,

"The pucca was a waste of time. We should have gone with something stronger." "You thought that this was going to be easy? That demon is the reason she is still alive as we speak." "This is absolutely stupid. I don't see why we have to try to get this kid killed. It's only one demon.""Enough." The rusty voice spoke. Its hands never left the table in front of him, working with gears and parts as it built another creation. "It is not a matter of killing the child as it is to distract the demon." The voice spoke. "As long as the demon focuses on his master, and his master focuses on the troubles thrown at her, there won't be any chance for them to realize that something is wrong until it is all too late." It pointed its weak, bony fingers to one of the shadows. "I believe it is time to pay a visit to the doctor."

Veran got hit a bit hard by the swing of the alligators tail, but as soon as it revealed its true form, he floated straight towards it.

A pucca, a spirit that causes fortune of misfortune, with the ability to transform into animals.

"So you're the one who has been after my master all day..." Veran grabbed the fairy's wings, stopping it from moving.

"Tell me, who exactly do you work for?" He purred his voice a bit, staring at the being he would kill at any second.

"Your life is on the line." He reminded, not afraid to crush it.

--

As Aya and Samael docked, they began walking slowly towards to entrance of the park.

"You're a gentlemen Samael. I didn't think much of you when we first met, but I think I can deal with you now." Aya looked at him and smiled.

She then did something a bit daring, landing a light kiss on his cheek.

It was very short though, as she immediately drew back and walked ahead some, blushing like crazy.

Hopefully that wasn't too soon.

The pucca struggled, even as it proved useless to be able to leave Veran's grip. "I don't know her name! She just made me an offer! She told me that if I killed that little brat that she would stop the development on a forested area around the outside of the city where some birds are making their nests! If they take down the trees the birds will loose their homes and babies so I accepted to kill the girl!" The pucca explained as she struggled.

Samael smiled. "I'm glad." Samael said, and then Aya landed the kiss. Samael's face flushed as red as a tomato. A kiss on the cheek, from Aya! He wouldn't ever forget that. He wouldn't dare to wash that cheek for at least a week. "Ah~" Samael cooed, smiling as he followed Aya to the entrance of the park. The servant waited for them, opening the door as he helped the two of them onto the carriage. The servant had the horses begin to walk, heading towards the Evarus manor to drop Aya off. Samael was still flushing red, a goofy smile on his face, a few hearts floating around his head here and there.

"Pity...seems like those birds will keep building." Veran crushed the poor creature under his hands, squeezing the life gruesomely out of it.

He dropped it, letting the blood run off his hands as he came up to the surface, holding onto the boat Alexander was still in.

He lugged himself into the boat, soaking wet, looking at Alexander with overall frustrated eyes.

"Did you see Samael and Aya?" He then asked, noticing their were no other boats in the water, him paddling back to the dock.

Their boat docked as Veran got out his clothes, still not bothering to get into the wet garments. He covered his hand with them as they made their way back.

"A pucca was harassing Aya and trying to kill her. She's lucky I was here." Veran informed.

He almost let Alexander cross through the fence gates in that ridiculous outfit of his....before throwing him back into some bushes and pulling him out after a second, Alexander clothed in his normal butler clothes once more.

"I would not dare let them see you like this...but my clothes are soaked..." Veran sighed, shaking his head as he approached Aya and Samael's carriage.

He knocked on the window, Aya pulling it down.

Her face was red before, but Veran's rather exposed body made it worse.

"Dont ask. Are you and Samael okay?" Veran asked, wringing out his clothes.

"He's okay...I think." Aya looked over at Samael, shaking his wonderstruck body.

Samael was brought back to reality. He looked up and smiled at Aya. "We're ok. We had lots of fun. You should join us next time, Veran. You would enjoy the butterflies. I hear that next year there will be even more butterflies!" Samael said. He gently took Aya's hand and landed a kiss on it. "I enjoyed this evening with you so much Aya. Let's have a fun time like that again soon." Samael said as he looked back at Veran, finally taking notice of him being all wet. He couldn't help but to laugh. "Veran you look like a cat that fell into water!" Samael laughed. He then helped Aya down and off the carriage. He looked up at Veran with gleaming eyes. "Thank you for taking care of her, Veran. I know it's a contract. But you take care of her and keep her safe. So thank you." Samael said genuinely at Veran with a smile. He bowed his head to Aya. "I'll see you next time, Aya." Samael said as he then leaned in and kissed Aya on the cheek, right before jumping back into his carriage to hide as his face turned red again. The driver bowed his head and drove the carriage away, taking the flushing Samael back to his mannor. Oh boy what a day. From afar a familiar mechanic bird watched over Aya and Veran, before flying away,

"Maybe we can see it next year...if me and Aya are here then." He flashed his contract seal to Samael, Aya staring at it for a second.

It was identical to hers, and lay upon his right hand palm. It was a bond that could not be broken.

As soon as Samael called him a cat out of water, his hand balled into a fist, looking at the boy with frustration.

That frustration faded quickly as Samael thanked him. Thanked a demon! However it was for a noble cause, he did protect Aya with all his being, keeping her safe from the world. Her job was a dangerous one, and it was his job too.

But the frustration returned as Samael leaned over and kissed Aya on the cheek, before speeding off in his carriage with Alexander.

Aya suddenly blush like mad. What kind of payback was that?

There was silence between the two as Aya regained herself once again. She then looked over at Veran, who was one layer of clothing away from being nude.

"There was a pucca after you. I had to make sure you were safe." Veran quickly explained.

Aya giggled a bit and sighed.

"You can tell me about it on the say back." She let him know.

With that, Veran scooped Aya up in his arms, beginning the story of the pucca, and bring her home with his incredible speed, the sun dipping its last bit of light into the distance.

A few weeks passed since the Pooka incident, all relatively peaceful for once. However a new sickness began to brew. It started with a few children getting sick, and soon it spread to those of higher class, even doctors themselves. The sickness was unique that it would only affect a single person in a family, as if they were specifically targeted by such virus. The side effects included constant coughing, fever, delusions, fatigue and as it spread, the dark coloration of the skin in the form of darkened rashes that looked like something from beyond this world. Worst part, it had infected most if not all the doctors of the city, leaving them unable to even take care of themselves. There has been no cure developed. How could there be with most of the doctors sick? It was almost impossible. The source was unknown, and so far there had been one fatality, one of the many young heirs of the city. He was only ten. Of course, the Queen was to eventually send a letter to Aya to ask her to do something to solve the problem that her doctors and knights could not solve. Someone knocked on the door to the Evarus manor. But instead of it being Samael as usual, with his bright smile and jokes towards Veran, it was Catarina, wearing gloves, and a surgical mask over her face as if to keep herself from getting infected, a letter of the queen in her hands. "Veran. Open the door. It is me. I'm not sick, if you are worried about that." Catarina insisted.

Veran opened the door as soon as he heard a knock, looking down at how rather ridiculous the werecat looked.

"I would hope you're not sick. Aya has been hiding out in her office working like a madman while this has been going on. I have been used for a model more than once..." Veran kind of mumbled the last part, looking at her seriously.

A door could be heard opening as Aya rushed over to the front door, hoping to see Samael so she could show him all of her new designs and creation. However, Samael was not at the door. It was Catarina.

"Where is Samael?" She then asked, wondering if werecats could get the disease she's heard so much about from Veran. Could demons get the disease?/Could Wulfric get the disease? She almost wanted to find out, but as of currently she was desperately worried about where Samael was...as he has been coming over here as of late.

Catarina shook her head. "I'm not sick. It's protocol so we don't end up getting the sick any sicker."Catarina said, chuckling at the thought of Veran being used a model. However as Aya asked about Samael, Catarina shook her head. "I fear that I have bad news, Lady Aya. Lord Samael has fallen ill to the sickness that has been ravaging the city." Catarina said in a matter of factly. "It began only yesterday night, and he has been unable to fully sleep due to the side effects. Reason why I have come herein person to deliver the letter of the queen instead of him." Catarina said as she offered the sealed letter to Veran. "It has been suggested that everyone wear masks around the sick to avoid infecting them any further. The sickness on its own can be mixed with something as simple as the common cold and cause terrible repocutions. The reason why I am wearing the mask." Catarina explained as she glanced over to Aya. "I assure you that you should not be sick. Otherwise the effects would have shown imminently, and you seem very healthy. Thank goodness." Catarina said with a sigh. The letter read as such;"Aya, as you now, this sickness is getting out of control. At first I thought that it could be handled, but now I fear that if we do not interfiere, our country will become the birthplace of a new black plague. I am asking you to take a sample of an infected, and head to the following directions on the map. There lives one of the greatest doctors in this country. If anyone can find a cure to this, he can. I give this to you because I know that your demon will make sure to keep you safe. Please find the doctor, and return with a cure before it is too late. -The Queen."

Aya sighed deeply as she was given the news that Samael was sick. She read the letter silently, then handing it to Veran to read.

"She needs a sample of an infected...I'm going to Samael's house." Aya turned to Veran, him nodding silently, then walking off to go on and get the carriage ready.

"I hope Alexander doesn't mind me visiting...but Samael is the closest person to me who I can get a sample off of." Aya informed Catarina.

Veran came back to Aya once the servants had everything ready, Aya and Veran then walking past Catarina, headed to the carriage and over to Samael's house.

---

They arrived shortly to the Pandora Manor, Aya and Veran practically bursting through the door despite the maids efforts to stop them. Aya slipped on a mask to prevent herself from getting infected, and marched up to Samael's room, uninvited.

The servants looked around as Aya pranced in. They didn't really stop her, not wanting to get in the way of Veran. Catarina followed as they opened the door to Samael's room. Alexander turned around, wearing a mask of his own. "The actual hell?! You guys shouldn't be here!" Alexander hissed, especially while glaring at Veran. "My master is sick." Alexander insisted. "That is the point. Alexander, Aya is being sent by the queen to find a cure. She needs a sample of the infected. Samael is the perfect subject." Catarina explained, trying to prevent a war inside the bedroom. Alexander thought for a moment and sighed, stepping to the side to show Samael. He was wearing his pajamas, a damp cloth over his forehead as a bucket was next to the bed in case he needed to puke. He was pale, dark circle under his eyes, struggling to breath as it physically hurt to do so. "Samael, Aya is here." Alexander whispered. Samael groaned. "No...she'll get sick..." Samael groaned, turning away as if to hide his face from her. "I look bad too...I haven't brushed my hair..." Samael murmured. Alexander looked up. "You need to have a sample, right?" Alexander asked. He gently pushed Samael to his side, so his back was facing them. Alexander pulled down Samael's pajamas, showing the back of his shoulder as it was as black as obsidian, rashed and dying off. "Would this do?"

Aya cringed upon seeing the black rash on Samael's back, Veran pulling a piece of dead skin off of Samael's shoulder.

It was rather disgusting, and Veran quickly moving it out of Aya's sight and into the envelope.

Aya turned to Samael, looking at his rather pitiful state, Veran watching Aya closely.

"Samael." She said softly, pulling his hands gently off his face.

He looked terrible, Aya taking the risk and taking her mask off. Veran not stopping her.

"The Queen is looking for a cure. I am on the case. Stay strong for me please." Aya turned his head to look at her as she smiled slightly.

"Alexander, we will be back with a cure. Please take care of him." Aya said as she pulled her mask on.

Veran waved to Alexander, the two exiting without another word, getting in the carriage, and speeding off towards the directions on the map. They didn't know if this was a fatal disease yet.

Samael opened his eyes to look up at Aya. He gave a weak smile. "You're very brave, you know. Braver than me." Samael said before closing his eyes again. Alexander watched Aya and Veran walk away. Alexander bit his lip. "...be careful, Lady Aya." Alexander said, gently holding Samaels hand. He could only hope that Samael would last. He had to.As they sped to the location on the map, they found themselves entering a rather swampish area. If you weren't careful you could have ended up stepping into a pool of murky water and frogs, some of the vegetation so dense and full of grime that you couldn't tell the difference between the actual ground and the water. Regardless it had a certain beauty to it, birds chirping as butterflies and other insects made it its home. As they followed the instructions they ended up reaching a large metal gate, rustically decorated as it was as creepy as the swamp itself. The doors to it opened, as just a few feet away a grand mansion stood there, ominously hovering over the swampy place. There were lights shining from the windows, however, showing that there was indeed someone home. Or more than one.

As Veran and Aya pulled up, they left the carriage beside the gates, tying it up as they walked through the gates and towards the front door, envelope in hand. They would only have to show the Queen's seal, not the letter itself.

Veran walked in front of Aya, making their way to the door.

It was a rather long walk, but once they finally arrived, Veran knocked on the door.

It was obvious someone was home...but why was a doctor living so far out here?

There was a pause, soon some footsteps that approached the door from inside. The door opened slightly with a squeak, a young man opening it for them. It looked like a young adult, taller than Aya but shorter than Veranda, taller than Samael. He wore a scarf and a long sleeved shirt. "Visitors?" The boy stammered, shyly hiding behind the door. However he saw the seal on the letter, and allowed them inside. "Please come in." The boy said. His eyes were purple, and his hair a gorgeous shade of pink. He closed the door behind them, hurrying then ahead. "You're here in orders of the queen...I'll get father." The boy said, hurrying away while leaving the two in the welcoming hall. The place looked...somewhat old. Yet well kept. The place was...huge. Spacey. Yet...there seemed to be no servants whatsoever. "Guests from the queen?" A deeper voice spoke. A handsome man walked down the stairs, wearing a white coat as he removed a pair of glasses. He had the same shade of pink hair as the young man. "I'm sorry that we didn't prepare a proper welcoming! I had no idea you were coming." The man said as he reached down the stairs with a smile. "I'm Doctor Hansen Rinamov. You already met my son Lazarus. Forgive him. He is very shy." The doctor said as he offered his hand. "And you are?"
