Roleplay Kuroshitsuji: Book of Roses

Aya averted her eyes as ordered, slowly opening them as Veran made his way back.

She looked at his face for a second before just outright slapping him.

"There was blood on your face. Demon." Aya sighed, rubbing it on her dress.

The dress was ruined anyways and Andrew had probably already figured the fact Veran was what he was already.

"Dont be so messy..." she muttered, looking towards Veran's hand, his contract seal visible.

Aya sighed, pulling her eye patch off, shaking her head to show her eye.

"Ah, your fate has been decided, Andrew..." she sighed.

Veran wore an empty expression, his face twitching ever so slightly from being annoyed at his master's rudeness. He knew perfectly well that she was simply looking for an excuse to hit him, despite needing his comfort only a few minutes ago. "Killing him already without even finishing the game isn't like you." Veran muttered as he took a deep breath, shifting his attention to Andrew. Letting the realization of death sink in, he waited for his master's orders before striking. Pulling his flintlock from the holster on his belt, he aimed at the aristocrat. "Rest assured, whatever secrets you harbored shall remain hidden and disappear, along with your life."

Andrew didn't even look at Veran as he spoke to him. He simply looked down at his beloved wife in silence before speaking up. "It won't matter to me anymore." Andrew muttered, looking up at Veran with utter sadness in his eyes. "Along with the life of my wife mine is also gone. If you take my life it would only be doing me a favor." Andrew said. He looked back at his wife, gently picking her up and holding her on his lap, cradling her almost as if he didn't want to wake her up. He gently moved some hair away from her eyes, and held her close. "Please make it quick, sir Veran." Andrew begged, warm tears falling down his cheek. "I don't know what is life after Death, but I am willing to adventure and find out."

Suddenly, clapping. It was unenthusiastic yet loud enough to echo across the bathroom. There stood Samael, smiling with his butler by his side. "Wonderful job, Aya, Veran! I knew you two were proficient at your work, but this definitely goes beyond my expectations for sure." Samael said as he giggled. He looked over to his butler. "You can tell the rest to unlock the doors, by the way." Samael added.

"Look at this mess!" A cry from a whole new voice all together. Samael didn't seem alarmed as a handsome young man walked in, wearing a suit and having a large battle axe strapped on his back. He didn't seem shocked. Instead he seemed annoyed. "You guys are making me work overtime, you hear me?!" The young man complained, moving his hands as the cinematic record of Jacqueline followed his movements, moving into a pile of papers in hand. "I can't even tell if she died in a freak accident or murder. Screw it, unnatural causes it is." The young Reaper known as Gigermo murmured. Samael rolled his eyes and smiled at Aya. "Anyways. Congratulations." He said before extending his arms for a hug. "You passed the test!"

Veran pressed the trigger of his weapon, firing a bullet between Andrew's eyes. As his lifeless body fell on to the floor, he turned his attention to the man who suddenly appeared. Only beings known as reapers could see cinematic records, and they were naturally enemies of demons.

"You may count every soul, not a single one was stolen." Veran told the reaper, honest with his words. He had left every one at their original places, uninterested in them. Glaring at Pandora, he stood between him and Aya. "My master has had enough of your 'game' for tonight. What exactly were you testing us for?" Veran asked coldly, knowing Aya would be affected by this experience for a long time.

Aya was totally pissed off to say the least. She in fact did something rather rude, and bent down quickly. She got a little blood on her finger, stepped forward beside Veran, and flicked it right onto Samael.

"What a rude way to treat a lady who is younger than you." She sighed, crossing her arms.

At the arrival of Gigermo, Aya looked to Veran.

"What would he be, Veran?" She asked about the newcomer.

As the blood landed on Samael, Veran couldn't help but laugh darkly, admiring Aya's ability to be undaunted by the standards of nobles.
"A grim reaper." He replied, watching Gigermo carefully. "Their weapons are said to be able to cut through anything. No doubt he was sent to collect the souls of those who died tonight."

Samael whined childishly as Aya flicked blood on him. Alexander went ahead to use a handkerchief to clean it up from his master's face. Gigermo looked up at Veran and got his hands on his hips. He was about to scold him until he shot Andrew, Gigermo screaming in surprise before stomping his foot annoyed. "Stop that!" Gigermo hissed. "Seriously why can't you kill in somewhere more pleasant, like in the Bahamas? Know what, this is going on the record! Killed by Demon. How you like that?" Gigermo grumbled. He moved his hands, gently gaining Andrew's cinematic record. From the day of his birth, to his most memorable .moments up to his death, a movie with a tragic end. However as he saw Aya, he quickly smiled and saluted. "Gigermo the Grim Reaper! Nice to meet you, mam!" He said. Samael looked over at Veran and Aya. "Well it wasn't my idea. The queen asked me to." Samael said as he crossed his arms. "You are the watchdog for the queen, aren't you? Well I'm her pet cat, or some metaphor like that. Regardless. She wanted to test you, and I had a mission to get rid of some people. So I mixed both...you passed AND you cleaned the house. Congrats, Aya!" Samael said cheerfully. Alexander stepped up. "From tonight on Samael will be the one to send you specialized missions directly from the queen. He is a decoy perse, to ward off any suspicion from you." Alexander explained. "Don't worry about the mess though, I'll clean it up. Tell you what, by the time you return from your next mission, I'll have an apology present for you!" Samael chimed. "We are sorry to not inform you earlier. The queen wanted to make sure you were ready for what is ahead of you, milady." Alexander said with a bow.

Aya curtseied slightly to Gigermo.

However she then looked at him with cold eyes.

"Are you looking to get Veran in trouble?" She asked rather rudely.

She sighed, Pandora now knew what Veran was. If he told the queen...Veran could be taken away. Aya could also loose her place as a watchdog.

"Watchcat?" Aya asked, scoffing.

She then looked to Alexander.

"Ward off suspicion??" Aya asked.

Ugh what did she do to make the Queen freak out?

Aya then glared at Samael.

"That apology present better be good." She hissed before looking back at Veran.

"We're leaving." She demanded.

"Yes, my lady." Veran replied, carrying Aya in his arms before jumping out of a bathroom window. Landing gracefully, he dashed straight for their manor, not even bothering to use a carriage.

Knocking on her door slowly, he brought a plate with two pancakes on them as he entered her room. It was getting quite late so he had made one of her favorite snacks, a simple dish that would comfort her as she rested the today's events. As he gave the plate to his master along with utensils, he smiled softly at her. "We've had a long day, but now it's just us, Lady Aya." He sat on the edge of her bed, caressing her hair gently.

Aya had changed into a comfortable night gown before Veran had entered the room.

She had just finished her bath and really shouldn't be eating this close to her bed time.

However, any food that Veran brought her was delicious. Aya actually didn't eat that much however.

Her day was insane...and she'd probably have another crazy one soon.

"Veran, why do you think the Queen is giving me missions through the Pandora Household? Wouldn't they just get in the way...?" She asked, rather curious.

"Also...that was just a test today. She really has it in store for us...however, I will not end up like the previous watchdog." She said, referring to her father.

Aya usually did not speak of her parents. They died both rather tragically and she prefers not to let anything from that time get to her.

"Perhaps she's testing them." Veran offered, trying to find the reason for such curious behavior. "As for being a watchdog, I shall continue to guide and protect you loyally no matter what challenge the Queen throws at us."

Checking his pocket-watch, he added, "It would be best to wait a few minutes before sleeping even though it's a few minutes past curfew." He wouldn't want his master to have nightmares due to having slept right after a meal, of course. "Would you like me to accompany you until then?"

Veran was right, Aya had something nobody else had. A demon.

For a heavy price and very reason, anyone could get one.

Veran would never let Aya die before he took her soul. He was mighty hungry.

Aya nodded to Veran.

"You here would be...nice." she commented rather quietly.

Aya would probably have nightmares anyways.

"If that is your wish, my lady." Veran replied softly, laying next to her comfortably. Giving one last smile, he let the young master rest her head against him, rubbing her cheek gently. "Goodnight, Lady Aya. I shall always be here for you."

The servants cleaned the blood off the floors with efficiency, the luckier ones fixing up the place and putting things back into their correct place. Some servants took the bodies away, to somewhere only Samael and Alexander knew about. They had already prepared for any questions of where they might have disappeared to. All they had to do was to make sure they weren't found again. Samael sat in his bath, the scent of oils mixing with the recently spilled blood. He rested back against it, watching out the window at the full moon. From one of the nearby counters, a phonograph played the song You Always Hurt The One You Love, the song softly echoing across the bathroom. "This is going to be quite dangerous, Samael." Alexander said cheerfully, offering Samael a chocolate drink. Samael took it, waving it around to have the drink mix well. "I know. But it's the queen orders, what can I do?" Samael chuckled. "Besides, Aya is the one who will be in most danger out of us all." Samael said, drinking up the chocolaty drink. "Yes, but if you are discovered of any doing, your reputation will be shattered." Alexnader said worryingly. "Which is why I'm the one who has to take the fall where something to happen. If fingers point to Aya, I will step in and take the blame." Samael explained, looking out the window as he closed his eyes. "I'm nothing but a decoy."

-THE NEXT DAY-

Samael woke up earlier than expected. He cheerfully ate something chocolate related, again, before picking up a special envelope that stood out due to what it had, the emblem of the queen. He was to deliver this straight to Aya, and even though he could just send Alexander to do it, he wanted to deliver it himself to make sure there was no bad blood between the two after last night's test. After all, they would be working together for a while from now on, they might as well get used to each other and try not to murder the other. He dressed up accordingly and hopped onto a carriage to take a ride over to Aya's estate. He wouldn't be taken Alexander this time. He wanted to be presentable and trustful to the young heiress. He has the carriage stop right in front of the estate, and holding a rose and the envelope...before walking off to the side of the house, specifically, where Aya's balcony was at. How he knew that was her room? He didn't actually know. He just speculated. The romantic that he always was, he raised his hands into the air, smiling before speaking loudly. "AYA~ Oh AYA~ WHERE DOU BE?~ FOR I HAVE A MESSAGE FOR YOU, DIRECTLY FROM THE QUEEN~"

Aya slept fine surprisingly, Veran eventually left her bed after a while though.

However, she was rudely awoken.

She crawled out of her bed to a wretched sound. Aya poorly tied her eyepatch, pulling her gun from her pillow. She opened her balcony door to be hit with the cold wind, walking over to the edge of the balcony and looking down.

'Great.' Aya sighed at the vision of Samael down, acting like a prince or something.

She cocked her gun, aiming at Samael. She wouldn't shoot however, that would attract too much attention.

"What a pleasant surprise, Samael." Aya sighed.

"If there are no weapons on your person, I will allow you to enter. However I will have to get dressed. Don't freak out if Veran comes marching up here though."  she warned.

Samael smiled as he watched Aya on the balcony, with gun and everything. Sadly he couldn't see her in her cute pajamas, which was a tragedy. But shew as a lady after all, he couldn't possibly even think of seeing a young lady in her pajamas, especially after just waking up. He didn't even flinch as her weapon was pointed down at him. Either he just thought that she wouldn't be able to hit him or he just trusted her that much. "Morning, Aya! I don't have any weapons on me! I left my crossbow at home, it needs to be polished up for practice later in this afternoon!" Samael said cheerfully, moving around in circles as he showed off around his outfit, to assure Aya that he didn't have any weapons on him. "I am only armed with a rose, a letter, and my good looks!" Samael winked, thinking that flirting attempt went rather smoothly. He walked up closer. "Do you want me to climb up?! I can totally climb up!" Samael gasped with big puppy eyes, reminding him of the fairy tale of Rapunzel. However even if he attempted to climb,, there was nothing assuring him that he would end up falling back down.

Aya shook her head at Samael.

"No, don't climb up here you'll kill yourself." she insisted.

However that wouldn't be a bad thing in her eyes.

"Just give me a second." she sighed.

Aya walked quickly to her room, pulling the first dress she saw out. A long sleeved, rather casual pink dress. She pulled on some white stockings and some cute white shoes, finishing it all off with a light pink bow tied on the back of her head.

She quietly walked down the stairs, heading out to a close by to where Samael was.

"Be quiet or Veran will kill me." she snapped after letting the door open for Samael.

Aya was a mess, her eyepatch was messed up, her hair wavy, the bow on her hair was crooked, and her stockings uneven.

She was useless.

Samael decided to not even chuckle at Aya's state. As cute as it was, he was sure the young lady wouldn't find it as funny to see her in such state. "I will remain quiet." Samael assured, his tone now much softer, almost like a whisper. He walked in, giving a small bow. "I do ask to be forgiven to bother you so early this morning, especially after last night endeavors." Samael said, then offering a blue colored rose to Aya. "Something for the start of your day. Other than that, the queen herself has delivered a message to you. It is a mission of upmost importance." Samael said as he offered the envelope with the letter to Aya. "She would usually just send her normal guards, but she suspects that the trouble that is being caused this time is of supernatural origin, so you have been tasked with it." Samael explained. The letter inside described the Queen's worries of some attacks that have been tormenting a group of villages surrounding a swampy forest. Such attacks had only been occurring recently, causing people to have become missing or severely injuried, one even dead.

"That's no condition for you to be in, Lady Aya~" A voice chimed, Veran standing right across the hall as he walked to her, giving a slight bow to Samael. He began to fix her eyepatch skillfully, preventing her eye from being shown to their visitor. "I'd like to advise you not to allow any surprise visits, master." He whispered just out of Samael's hearing, "Our dear guest may have intentions that far surpass the dangers of a weapon."

(I have been given permission to conduct Veran)

"I made sure he didn't have anything on him whenever he entered, there is a letter from the Queen, I can't ignore that." Aya whispered back to her Butler.

"Whatever you say, Milady." Veran said quietly back.

Aya read the letter, rather interested on what it had to say.

"We can't allow people to be injured, can we?" She asked Samael.

Aya handed the letter to Veran to read.

"Will you and Alexander be accompanying us? I believe you should after last night." She asked rather rudely to Samael.

"Think of it as Revenge." Aya said darkly, admiring the dyed blue rose Samael gave her.

Veran snickered, Lady Aya was always one to get revenge.

Samael smiled and waved at Veran. Veran was obviously non-human, and with that came...worries here and there, but nothing too much. He found it fascinating the deals that demons could make with mortals. He wished he could know more without knowing that prying into such dark depths would end up getting himself killed. Samael slightly gasped, looking rather surprised at Aya's offer. "You want me to accompine you in such secretive, and dark, and up-most dangerous mission?" Samael asked, almost sounding sorrowful and frightened. But just as quick, his frown turned upside down as the gleam in his eyes changed drastically. "I would be honored, Aya!" Samael squealed. He sounded a little bit too happy. "I should go and get my crossbow from back home first though, and ask Alexander if he wishes to come along! I'm sure he wouldn't mind coming along, I trust my servants in watching over the place while we go supernatural stuff hunting. Oh I should wear my boots too!" Samael said as he suddenly wrapped his arms around Aya, hugging her. "Ah thank you thank you thank you!~ I promise that I will be extremely useful in our mission!" Samael said with thumbs up.

Aya was rather thrown off by how excited Samael was.

"As long as your butler causes us no harm, we shall keep peace." She said rather calmly, turning her eyes to Veran.

She paused for a moment.

"Also, Pandora...never EVER do anything like you did last night again." Aya demanded, turning serious.

Veran nodded in agreement.

"You terrified my master last night, and if you do something like that again...you shall receive harsh punishment." Veran threatened.

His eyes turned to a rather demonic red for a second as he layed eyes on Samael.

"Also, could you please be careful hanging my master." He asked, seeing as Aya was being hugged without permission, and she did not like it at all.

She would deal with it for a second, however if he did it again, Aya would have some problems.

Samael smiled and nodded his head. "I won't do it again, promise!" Samael said as he looked at Veran and pouted. "You're so strict, Veran! Even as a demon, you should totally loosen up." Samael said before giving a small bow. "I'll head back to my place to prepare. I will be back as quick as I can. We have to be prepared for whatever this mission has to take us, you know." Samael said as he backed away and ran outside of the mansion. "I'll see you in a few!~" Samael said. Though he appeared oblivious to the apparent threat that Veran imposed, inside he had made it clear to himself that he shouldn't push himself too far. Though he was always cheerful, push the right buttons and Samael was a rather serious person with little to no sense of humor. When found working, there was nothing that stopped him from doing his work personally. He would design and make the dresses himself, from the beginning to the end. It was only in some circumstances that he would allow the servants to do the dresses, which equaled in quality since he had shown them personally. He rode back home, where he spoke to Alexander and explained the situation. Alexander was quick to bring Samael his crossbow and some of his best arrows. "Are you sure that we should be helping them with this mission?" Alexander asked. "Why not? Seems like fun." Samael said with a smile. "Do ask the servants to finish the presents, though." "Will do, Samael."

As soon as Samael left, Aya let out a long groan.

"He woke me up early this morning..." She complaint., looking to Veran.

"You'll be able to rest on our way to this village. I have breakfast prepared for you already." Veran assured, leading Aya off to the dining area.

It was a rather simple meal, and as she was eating, Aya ordered Veran to start packing their things. They wouldn't take too much, but Veran was a very efficient packer and usually knew what to bring.

He packed Aya some clothes that wouldn't be too flashy in front of everyone, himself some different rather casual clothes. He made sure there was ammo in their luggage so neither one of them should end up out, it was going to be a rather dangerous mission.

Alexander only packed the necessary for Samael, who was busy inside his special workshop. It was a room just down the hall to his own bedroom, large and with arched windows and wooden floors. It contained dozens of mannequins, some naked, some wearing exquisite looking dresses and jewelry. It had dozens of types of cloth and materials around the walls, which could be refilled if they ran out. Large tables with baskets filled with materials such as scissors, measuring tape and all kind of things you would find in sewing. A large case filled with endless small cabinets filled with every kind of button imaginable, and precious stones of different sizes. The main piece was in a corner of its own, a large desk with papers and pencils and ink pens along with paints, some filled with both complete and unfinished designs for clothing and jewelry for both women and men alike. The Pandora line was unique due to the fact it not only served for clothing, but also designed jewelry, shoes, and accessories of all kinds to go along with the clothing. All if not most designed by Samael himself. “Let’s see…it should be around this measure.” Samael said, a servant noting down the measures. The hug was merely just a means to getting the right measurements for a gift for Aya. He knew he wouldn’t be able to do that again though, however. “Make sure to use this fabric, like this. She certainly loves her roses.” Samael said as he then thought for a moment. “Make the shoes white, and add a rose hair pin.” Samael ordered. He didn’t plan in going on with the mission, he had to make sure that this was left with great detail so his servants knew what to do. “Samael, we’re ready when you are.” Alexander called. “Coming!” Samael chimed, looking over at his servants with a smile. “I will be gone for a while. I trust you.” Samael said, walking away as the servants bowed their heads. They all had seen the young Samael suffer through the hands of his father, and were now seeing him grow up to a young man. They would be loyal to a fault. Samael hurried with Alexander over to the Evarus household, where he met up with Aya and Veran. Samael wore his jacket, but didn’t matter to wear a hat. “Aya, will we be going in your carriage or mine?” Samael called cheerfully. Alexander chuckled as he smiled at Veran. “Hello. Nice to see you again, Veran.”
