KHUX Possible answer to the Unchained χ release.

I stated this in a forum, but I want to share my thoughts. Here's what I said, "Perhaps Square Enix are waiting until after Christmas to release Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ due to the fact that if they released it before then, we would've missed all of the events. And plus, there's bound to be an Easter, Valentine, and Summer event, so if they released after Christmas, we would be ready for an event since the next 'holiday' is quite a ways away. And the west would probably get an exclusive Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas event next year since we missed this one. Maybe that's why." Let me know what you guys think about this.

We've only got six more days left of 2015, so don't count on it releasing this year. There is a lot to do even if it is a mobile game. Servers, translations etc.

Lol, I mean, I'm not exactly complaining about it, nor am I saying it's coming out in 2015, I'm just saying that this is a possibility as to why there's been no release.

Nope, highly doubt it. With the constant updates Japan is receiving, it can't be it. There is more work than you think, even if it is just a mobile game.

No, there's English work in the Japanese version. Just like how the English cutscenes were in KH2.5's Japanese disc. And the trailer we got announcing Unchained X months ago featured English text. So they've been working on this for at least a year.

Once again, guessing will not do us anything. They WON'T release it by the end of this year. They will most likely release it next year. That's it. The end.

This sounds like a good reason for why we haven't gotten the game yet, and if that's the case, then I really hope the game releases in these days!  But, if not, I can wait till next year.  But ugh, I just want to play this game already!

Well it's DEFINITELY going to be after Christmas (tonight), that's for sure. How soon though is yet to be seen however. It can take a while to translate text, who knows how soon we'll get it, it might not be till Spring.

Maybe, just maybe, they're trying to incorporate Beast's Castle and Enchanted Dominion into the international version of Unchained X, and because of that, there's a lot of back and forth with Square Enix in regards to placing it into Unchained X.

These types of games are likely a pain to localize. Square Enix also has multiple other mobile games like this to localize.

but in Japan it came out more than three months ago and we have not even a shred of date. As I said I hope in January-February. Then the thing that leaves me very perplexed is the fact that, for example, 1.5 and 2.5 it took little more than two months from the Japanese to get them out in the rest of the world then I do not think unchainedX is heavier to localize as 1.5 and 2.5

All their new mobile titles like Mobius and now Type-0 Online (which we were promised when it was Agito) is now "under consideration"

 

They might silently cancel Unchained in the West and Nomura doesn't keep his word..again.. like old times guys

Well, if he does, he will expect a lot of rage from the fans. He knows that he screws this up, his reputation will dwindle, silently cancelling or not.

I don't think it's his call, but rather Square's if they feel it isn't worth whatever trouble they are having with localization. But I hope they do come through and present something soon.

They were terminated. There's a massive difference. They were planned until the final minute.

 

Type-0 Online isn't in beta yet. Mobius is continuing to recieve updates and is doing very, very well Square Enix. It was the 4th best iOS game of 2015 in Japan.

said at least how they are going work ... so knowing nothing is really a pain T.T after if they are doing this work, because I start to think that square not want more to get this game from us
