In Kingdom Hearts 3, if they were to allow you to play as more than just Sora, who would you want as a playable character?

I wouldn't mind any of the characters listed, but I just chose Roxas and Aqua.Roxas because, even though he's not the most interesting character to watch... I spent a solid 358 days with him! I had no choice but to get attached to him. I feel like he's just been a mopey character for the past few games. He needs a chance to fight back! :DAqua because, while it took me a while, I finally realized that she is the true hero of BBS. While Terra & Ven are cool, they kind of got what they coming to them. Aqua did most of the good work, and she had to share the spotlight with them. She needs to flex her MASTER muscles!!!

I honestly don't know, to me the number games you always play as Sora and just Sora (save for the tutorial in KH2) because it's his story the focus is on him, yes I know in Chain of Memories and Dream Drop Distance you play as Riku, well that's because in Chain Sora's story is done when you can play as Riku, and in Dream Drop Distance it's because they where taking a test together.  Now I know everyone will be helping in defeating the 13 Darkness in Kingdom Hearts 3 and I wouldn't mind playing as other people but they have to make it work, they can't do it like Birth by Sleep where you play through every single world as all three characters and then you beat their story that wouldn't work so well with KH3.  You also can't do it like in Dream Drop Distance because then you kind of get spoiled by how it would be to the end, like if you beat The World That Never Was as Riku first then you would learn that Sora fell into the Organizations hands but also as you play that world as Sora you hear Rikus voice so that also gives you big question marks.  If we do play as multiple characters not counting the tutorial, because I think we will not be Sora during that part, then they should do it like how they did it in Final Fantasy XIII where you jump from one persons perspective to another one and then before going to the final place you all regroup and then you can pick who to play as.  I don't know I'm sure we will play as Riku and probably Kairi but I'll have to say we should play as someone we haven't already played as and that is only Kairi and Lea.

personally i'm against multiple characters. i'd rather we stuck with Sora but i'll play along.

if i HAD to have multiple playable characters i'd choose Riku and Kairi because at least that way the playable characters would be the original trio of the series and i feel like that would be a natural progression to reach. From a story perspective it would show how far they've come, considering that they'd actually be a part of the action.

I picked Kairi. If she becomes playable, the game might have to give her a new design. Perhaps a longer skirt for starters.

 

Her gameplay would be more based on stealth, since she's less experienced. She might call herself an idiot for trying to take on a group of larger enemies on her own.

 

Story wise, Kairi might experience some illusions of Namine. She might give her some hints on how to progress (like the Cheshire Cat in American McGee's Alice). And in some instances, Namine would pop up out of nowhere if you rotate the camera to where she is now. For example, in a mirror, you only see Kairi. But shortly afterwards, said mirror will have Namine talking to her instead.

Aqua, possibly even Terra.Playing KH3 from their perspective would be really interesting. In Aqua's case, she's finally free and is now on her way to getting to know Sora and the others better and then trying to free+avenge her friends.In Terra's case you would be playing as Terranort and would initially be fighting against Sora and his group for the first part of the game. Eventually a specfiic battle will come along that will free Terra and from there on he fights on Sora's sideThere wouldn't be much of a point in paying from Riku and Kairi's perspective since they begin with being on Sora's side so there isn't much of that "another side of the story" thing going on here.Or we could play as Donald and ACTUALLY firetruckING HEAL SORA ON TIME

I'm not completely sure if he's confirmed, but the idea of having multiple characters started because Nomura thought that Mickey would be a nice character to be able to use, so I think he did get confirmed.
