Were you satisfied with the HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue/ Kingdom Hearts III Jump Festa trailer?

It was VERY epic, but the kingdom hearts 3 part of the trailer lacked any story, but i'm not going to get salty about it because I'm pretty much happy with what we've gotten.

Would have loved to see some story of KH3 and more of Aqua in the new engine, but overall I'm satisfied

I'm not going to lie, I liked this trailer a lot because of the amount of gameplay we got to see. We shouldn't expect to see much story yet considering the worlds are still being built and everything, which would suggest the game isn't far enough into development to see more story.

 

That being said, the 0.2 portion of the trailer intrigued me a lot even if we didn't get to see much.

well 0.2 still looked weird like it had been rendered in Garys Mod, although Yen Sid looked ok. 

Back Cover Chi looked...um...sounded ok? It felt like the same thing we were already shown in the last 2.8 trailer.

3DHD had my interest if only because of what else it was accompanied with.

 

and the KH3 trailer itself was nice. The combat looks all over the place though. I get that maybe they're trying to go for a fast paced battle system with variety but it looks like they're throwing in everything and it could end up being cluttered or chaotic. It could be one of those situations where you're given a wide variety of attacks but you realize that the basic combos work just as well as the flashy moves. 

 

Basically I guess I'm still on the fence for these games. The hype train has not left the station.

it's because we didn't get much about the story at all. the trailer is still okay though

I am so satisfied with that trailer. The Shotlock-looking attack Sora used in the KH3 trailer blew me right out of the water! And It even looked like Sora can already use a Double jump, even without using flow motion.

 

I gotta say, even though it was quite a while after the trailer was released outside Japan, it was a great trailer.

 

(The 2.8 didn't seem to interest me as much though)

Yeah I was! I didn't know that was shotlock. I probably forgot about shotlock since I have played the original BBS game in a while. 

 

But man, I don't think that little Heartless is the Yellow Opera. Everything was going fast but, I think I saw something surrounding the little yellow Heartless.

Well, I didn't really care that much if we got a KH3 trailer because I know we still have a while to wait until it comes out. Kinda dissapointed by what 2.8 didn't show though, I was expecting 4 things. The new UI (or atleast some kind of UI), some models from the movie, a little bit of 0.2's gameplay and some kind of release date. Oh well, I just hope this is the last 2.8 trailer that says "Now in Developement".

 

PS: I know the story of DDD but I haven't played it, and I'm quite excited about X Back Cover and 0.2, so that's why I'm so hyped about 2.8.

I'm still salty.

I think they wanted to show that the environment affects you in some way, but the animation obviously wasn't finished. One thing I can say for sure is, if you can't jump out of that, and if you have to be locked in that until it let's you go, it's going to get annoying really fast.

I'm getting quite impatient after getting first word in like 2013 that the development had started and still with 2.8 seeing a 2016 release we're looking at 2017 earliest for KH3. 

 

I wasn't blown away by 2.8 or 0.2 but I can't get over how pretty KH3 is - so happy that Shotlock and Flomotion are being utilised so well in the game.

 

Overall, for waiting this long, I didn't feel we got enough to keep us waiting.

Yeah, that'd be cool if the animation was finished. As-is, I think I'd be okay if they left that small detail out until later.

It really was meant to show what happens with certain aspects of the environment around like what happens when Sora enters the stream for example.

I was expecting a bit more from the 2.8 stuff but the KH3 trailer was impressive. I don't think they'll release a trailer fully dedicated to KH3 for a very long time.

I was a little disappointed with the trailer, but overall, it was still pretty good. I really wanted to see the "emotional" scene, but what can you do I guess? I would definitely love to see a little more story element to it, and hopefully more detail is put into the models because as is, Kairi, Riku, Mickey and Yen Sid look a little odd right now.
