To Scrap and Kunivas and whoever else played the game that tombships are in, what are tombships like, and how can a ship like that regenerate?  Are they organic ships like Moya from Farscape or nanobots or a reverse-aging spell woven into them upon destruction or something else?  Or perhaps, after looking at your post again, they just teleport back and their parts get salvaged for newer ships.  This holds my intrigue.

 

Things are getting quite interesting and progressing wonderfully, I daresay.  I'm also glad to see that a new face (at least to me) is joining our motley crew.

Well, Maxis is a sociopathic ninja warrior he just wants to have fun, and help  a friend out with an angry dwarves problem. Don't worry, Maxis will go for non-lethal measures  if Jadis doesn't want him to kill

And kinda yeah, most true hive ships have some organic parts that compose them, not taken ships which are purely mechanical but hold "crystals" in their power core.

 

These crystals? they create taken portals without the need of a Taken wizard or Oryx or any other of his high ranking subordinates needing to make ones themselves. That is why the portals opened when Hylvania's ships went down. Except on Hylvania instead of the remains being teleported to base, the ships remains combined together with the Vex gatelords that came out of them, improving their defenses and all.

 

As for the fleet Chrysalis took out, the parts have already been retrieved at Langerdon, because the crystals in the cores opened the portals on the crashed remains, and sent them back to Langerdon, for salvage for parts and repairs.

I definitely think that Jadis would accept all the help he could get, though now I'm wondering if Maxis will enter with a deathblow and escape with Jadis under his arm like a football (though for the elf's sake I am hoping not : P).  Moving on, I'm actually pretty psyched that Henry took such great lengths to invite Ari to join them.  I could foresee that being a very interesting trio, and had been kind of hoping that would happen.

 

Finally, I posted a quick response to Eclaire's speech in the Shivering Moors.  As one could probably guess, the elves response was mixed, though it will be difficult for them to embrace the reality that Yevgeni is a traitor.

Also Kunivas, would Scourge still be around? you know, Bane? from tainted blood? cuz I just had the greatest idea where he is in command of Luin, so Mikhail would get intel straight from him otherwise i'l come up with a random leader to get information from.

Quick question, Yuffie:  regarding Yltriss' tonic given to her by the Doctor, was it just a refresher to relieve tanzynite symptoms, or was it a random or specific tanzynite?

It was actually a homebrew from the Doctor, something developed using tanzynite components that neutralizes symptoms as well as reduces dependency on tanzynite. Kind of like NRTs I guess. If you take an appropriate amount for a while, tanzynite addiction is basically cleared up, but falling back into it is very easy. The Doctor wanted to distribute it for a long time but Korben wouldn't let him (for obvious reasons). That was one of the origin points for the Doctor's disloyalty to the Empire.

I can't wait to see what Ecliare & Fiora do next since they've got Oryx's most dangerous tag team, Dark Heart & Sahail. Yes, indeed!  There is a lot going on and quite the extensive character roster, but I do believe it would still be possible for you to join in and be able to enjoy the current events.  There is a lot that you don't need to know immediately, and the rest will undoubtedly come as you go along.  Feel free to read the length of the first post in these sign-ups (and perhaps my first post in the RP, if you'd like to get a deeper taste into the world), and let me know what your thoughts are concerning your potential character(s).  We have four sides: the New Empire (considered evil), The Seraphim Order (the main rebellion, though behind the unknowing scenes their leader is up to much sacrifice and bloodshed), Messiah (a small organization that is pretty much unknown to the majority of society), and the Criminal Underworld (a faction of criminals that pretty much supports the New Empire now).  There is a lot of war between the New Empire and The Seraphim Order currently, and there is more underway.  I'll try to give you a quick summary of important events after you create your character sheets (or before if requested).

Awesome!  In that case, how about have her start off at the banquet table with the Seraphim Order?  There is one post where Yevgeni gave a speech on their next objectives that may be good for you to read (not my latest post, but the one prior).  It should be on the most recent page.  You could then skim people of the Seraphim Order if you wish, or she could just join in the toast and enjoy some delicious food (and take note of Kaspar treating the food rather curiously : P).

I don't even know how my characters would react, so good on you, Unversed.  =P  I guess Yltriss would be like "Oh joy, another visitor to check in on my imprisoned self," Rufus would be like "OH FRABJOUS DAY, KALOO KALAY!" and go galumphing back, and Kaspar, Paul, and Jasmine would stick up their collective nose in lack of interest.  It calls out to me that I don't have the friendliest group in this RP.  I think I should change that.

 

Welcome, Azure, and I hope you will enjoy this roleplay!  It seems that you are new to this site, so I would like to give you a few pointers to aid you in this new environment:  1.)  expect multiple actions in one post, 2.)  expect fast periods (five posts a day) and slow periods (one post per two days) in almost random intervals, 3.) communicate with fellow players if you have troubles with making a post or want character interaction on a larger scale (like, say, blending pasts, future romantic relationships, and so on), 4.) keep in mind that standard rules are applied for roleplaying and that no character is invincible, and 5.) have loads of fun.

 

We are an amiable and fun crew -- or at least that's how I view it -- so feel free to participate and interact.  We will be here between 9-5 Monday thru Friday, 10-2 Saturday, and on call Sunday.  Nah, just kidding, but we'll be here.
