GAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I'm trying to make my character, but I just cannot draw a freakin' face! Why is it that I cannot draw a human face?!

Faces are tough, as is detailing, so no worries there, mate.  Remember that when all else fails you don't even have to draw a face.  Instead, slap a smiling emoji on a scanned copy where the face should be.  Problemo solved with minimal effort.

I might just make a blank face and add the hair. The main problem is that the drawing is too small to add facial features. I'll draw the face separate and make facial expressions.

In that case, I think I must attempt it!  What length of sleeves?  Long, short, cap?  Also, do you envision any embellishments being on the dress (lace, embroidery, et cetera, or just something unspecific besides plain?)

 

Sounds awesome; I'm going to have to attempt some artwork, then!  I haven't drawn as much lately but I'll see what I can do and would happily share these works with everyone.  Are there any particular characters that you would like to see?

Good thinking.  That sounds like a better option until you can blow up the picture a little and incorporate the face and the body into one.  I look forward to seeing your character!

Eh............. I finished, but I'm not too proud. I cannot draw well on a touch screen. The screen on the 3DS was too small to add facial features. You'll have to use your imagination. Btw, he has blue eyes.

Normal shirt sleeve length. Like a tshirt. It reachest just above her knees. As for embellishments, probaby some trim in gold. Could also run eith some gilded design up one side.

 

 

 

Irony remains is that Chrysalis is blonde while Rika always was a redhead...oh evil experiments.

I'll see what I can do. ; )  Would you prefer Chrysalis with red hair, or shall I go with her wavy blonde locks?

They're rather difficult.  What I often do is draw vertical and horizontal lines as a base and then erase them once I've got the basics for the eyes, nose, and mouth.  Also, I often use sample images to base my work off of.

Great job!  You did wonderfully.  It is no easy thing to attempt drawing with the stylus, but you did great!  The lack of face is fine, in my opinion. : )

A bit of both.  Things fluctuate as schedules change and deadlines come closer, but I'm awaiting some responses before continuing on with some of my characters.  I could, however, write something for Yltriss tomorrow once I have the time.  Also, wonderful job on the drawing!  Do you have a stylus to be able to sketch him, or did you do it via mouse?  Either way, that looks phenomenal!

Really i've been gone all day so I'll be posting my fleet movements...and we do need scrap because he's the firetrucked who threw a wrench into my carefully crafted insanity.

Not to worry Mystic, White Heart is a character I plan on picking up later on so I'm able to focus on my current characters. White Heart might appear earlier if I get more free time or whatever.
