Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) First character. Original Sheet/Info from Tainted Blood. Name: Codename "Shinobi". Real Name: Ayane Takahashi (Known only by Korben) Age: 24 Gender: Female, unknown to many due to her Armour shape and in-built into the Armour Voice Modulator. Race: Human/Partial Cyborg Side(Rebellion, Empire, Criminal Underworld): Empire Appearance: In Armour: Out of Armour: Weapon(s): "Itami" - A Katana that contains Warrior Souls, empowering the Blade and its wielder, particularly one which possesses Telekinetic Abilities. Cybernetic-Hybrid Exosuit - FENRIR Suit V.2.5 (Pictured above) - Prototype Suit made specifically for Shinobi to accommodate her frame inside a Male-Shaped Suit. Increases mobility, strength, speed, stamina, reflexes and endurance of the wearer. Extremely durable, bulletproof, conducts electricity well, can supply Tanzynite on the fly and can give boosts of the compound(s) desired to increase power briefly. Contains a Heads-Up Display (HUD) within the helmet. Can attach weaponry to the arms, shoulders and back along with other modifications. Power Status(Mage, Tanzynite User, Race Power e.g: Demonic Power if a Demon): Natural Telekinetic. Magic(If a Mage, can be Elemental, Illusionary, Necromancy or Summoner based, Limit of 3 Specializations): Instigator Chemicals (If a Tanzynite User, can become one if Human and if not already one, Limit of 3.): Electro Bolt. Tonic Chemicals(Same as above. Limit of 3.): Tough Girl and Enduring Bolt. Experimental Compound(If a permitted user, limit of 1. Can have 1 other Instigator and 2 Tonics.): Heavily modified Telekinesis Compound, due to her natural Telekinesis and a lot of Chemical alteration to the compound produced a strong reaction and full assimilation of the Experimental Tanzynite into her body, granting strong abilities. Race Power(If Non-Human): Partial Cyborg, allowing for a more seamless integration into her Exosuit. Bio/History: In the Heart of Langerdon City, born and raised, in a playground where she spent most of her childhood days, Ayane was a streetwise kid, knowing how to survive and even thrive on basically nothing but scraps and dust, using Makeshift Weapons to defend herself from criminals and cruel people, who still found their way into even the Emperor's City of Residence. Well, there were certainly less due to her actions. She never knew her parents. They abandoned her at birth but she was lucky enough to have been found by a kindhearted gang who decided to bring her up as best they could, though she parted ways with them at 14, it was not a sour departure, more of one of self-discovery and independence. At 15, less than a year afterwards, she discovered her Telekinetic Abilities after she found out a rival gang had killed the entire gang, whom she had still considered a Family to her and allowed her rage to take over, awakening her powers and killing the whole gang in a massive, uncontrolled outburst of Telekinetic Power. This outburst did not go unnoticed of course, as Korben was out on his Balcony at the time and had observed the massive, blue-coloured burst of Mind Power and ordered a Scout and Retrieve Group to investigate, where they found her, surrounded by utterly broken and mutilated corpses of the Gang Members, Blood, Body Parts and her in the fetal position, shuddering and sobbing. The leader of the Squadron was kind and swiftly got her to stand with their words and attitude and soon after, took her to Korben who offered her a place at his side in exchange for perfecting and fine-tuning her powers and ranking. She accepted and over the years has proved herself worthy of her ranking of Captain in the official Korbenic Military, a Expert Marksman in the Shooting Range, Master Assassin in Korben's Assassination Initiative and a very good cook. 3 Years ago, she met Rija and quickly took a liking to her: A kind, caring soul who seemed....a little out of place in the Empire of Today, but she liked her and did missions with her regardless. However, like with everybody aside from Emperor Korben, she has kept her gender and face hidden for now. She still can't decide whether to show her yet. Her current views on the empire have also been shifting as of late. Personality: Persistent, feisty, ruthless and completely focused, Ayane is the best Empire Assassin anybody could hope for; Intensely Loyal and highly willing to do what needs to be done for the Empire, even if she has a little niggle of a doubt about them within. Her enhanced abilities aid in her favor greatly, giving her quite the confidence boost. However, on a mission and in combat, she tends to keep mostly calm until a fight gets interesting, then her true, Blood Knight tendencies emerge, allowing her to thoroughly enjoy combat to its fullest. She isn't all that traumatized about her past, as she doesn't remember too much of it so her psyche is good and in check, yet she has trouble opening up to others, hence why she keeps her gender and appearance a complete mystery. She is however openly Bisexual, which only furthers the mystery around her. Updated information for Ashes of a Fallen Empire: During her time serving The Empire, Shinobi was sent to assassinate The Order of Lux's Leader: Eclaire Tonnerre, after she had begun causing problems for Emperor Korben, namely killing 6 of his Generals and beginning to make her Order known to the world. While she did manage to infiltrate the Order HQ and get to Eclaire while she slept, Shinobi began to feel doubts after seeing her in person, resting rather peacefully and a bit too much so for someone who's apparently a Terrorist to the Empire, along with seeing some of the other members of the Order of Lux as she sneaked past them, she decided not to kill Eclaire. Her loyalty to the Emperor shaken after witnessing the Rebels out of battle and on their own, almost being discovered by Eclaire on her way out and her retreat back home changed the way she looked at things...then the Order's attack on the Korbenic Empire came about, wishing to cause as much damage as possible to the Empire and weaken them so a takeover could be achieved. During this, the Sahala Mech killed Viridem, countless soldiers on both sides were lost and Shinobi engaged in combat with Henry Hansees during the conflict. This fight was one of her toughest yet, requiring her to give everything she had, yet only damaging him significantly, but not majorly and ended up with Henry attempting to break her back, were it not for her suit's fail-safe causing it to lock-up upon impact which saved her back, but rendered her immobile. Conceding her defeat, Henry commended her skill and spared her life, but before he could assist her, he was caught up in another battle. Shinobi then contacted her greatest friend and comrade: Rija, to try and distract herself from her pain and chat with her about her defeat and some of her currently conflicting feelings about the Empire as she lay upon the ground in a locked-up and resetting Armour Suit. As it was getting emotional however, the unthinkable happened...Cyler, the psychopathic Serial Killer and Ability Thief showed up, finding Shinobi and considering her as a Gift-Wrapped Present for him, pacing around and kneeling near her as she began to feel true fear for the first time in years, beginning to panic as he grew closer and closer to the wish to kill her. Shinobi's Suit was tantalizingly close to resetting and allowing her movement, but it wasn't happening fast enough and before she knew it, Cyler pounced...Shinobi did not stand a chance in her weakened state. All of this occurred...while Rija was still on the Comms. She heard her last moments in terror, anguish...and unimaginable agony. The Fall of Korben and the Rise of Oryx passed her by as her body still lay in her suit on the streets...however, there was one final fail-safe built into Shinobi's Suit: Using a combination of Drugs, Electricity and Pure Energy, it could revive Shinobi in a Half-Dead State regardless of how long she has been deceased for but would usually activate soon after her death yet it malfunctioned and left her dead for over a year before now, as it requires latching onto the nearest source of energy in order to revive her should it malfunction. On that faithful day, a powerful Taken of Oryx's happened upon her body, deciding it needed to take her to its master. But upon touching it, the Suit siphoned the Taken's Life Energy, Blight and Power and resuscitated Shinobi successfully into the Half-Dead State as intended and she killed the weakened creature upon seeing it. Struggling to come to grips with the reality of her renewed existence, Shinobi mulled over what should happen next after she came back, then she asked around as to what has happened and while they were a little perplexed, they told her everything: Korben had fallen, Oryx had rose and everything had changed, especially with The Order of Lux splintering into The Seraphim Order and Messiah. Wishing to make up for what she had done under Korben's Service, she wished to find Eclaire and make it up to her, learning that she was in charge of Messiah, she moves out to find her soon...however, she also wishes to find Rija, just to assure her that she's, well, Half-Alive. In order to bring her back to a fully alive state, she needs to absorb much, much more Energy, but should be careful about absorbing Blight because...well, it has mildly corrupted her. She's not evil, but it lingers inside and has affected her already damaged physical appearance and can only get worse from there, yet it does give her new abilities. Notes: Shinobi's Suit shows visible signs of severe wear and tear and still bears the scars of her battles up until her demise, her body is not as decayed as it should be and only looks Half-Alive, her face looking the best it can but her eye color has changed to Glowing Light Blue Eyes due to the Suit Energy sustaining her. Any attempt to remove her suit will end up killing her slowly unless she is fully alive once more. She has completely lost Electro Bolt, Tough Girl and Enduring Bolt and her suit's Tanzynite Delivery System is completely disabled, but her Telekinesis Tanzynite has permanently affected her powers so she won't need to worry about that. She now has control over the Blight that Oryx has wrought, controlling it as powerful Energy to fire Energy Blasts, Beams, Explosions, an Aura and channeling it through her sword, but she can't create or control Taken and has very, very, very limited Dimensional Control with it, only being able to create Portals. Occasionally, she will have intense fits and spasms all covering her in rampant electricity and causing brief episodes of psychosis as a massive side effect of her partial revival and the lateness of it. During these attacks, she is ravaged by an unrelenting and intense pain throughout her body, which only helps increase her screams of rage and madness as she does so. When she calms down, she has to activate injection of a powerful drug that is not only addictive but leaves her fatigued for a while, but she absolutely has to take it, lest she have another attack immediately afterwards. This is not injected with her Tanzynite Delivery System, as that's broken, but with a secondary System that is only equipped for normal drugs, as Tanzynite would erode the tubing. She also has not aged as she has been dead for the majority of the time and she can't age now due to her state. It's good to have you back, Kunivas. : ) In the backstory, however, I believe Rija disappeared off with Derik, so there may not be any bringing her back unless Yuffie chooses otherwise. Also, the backstory with Cyler . . . . That's fine by me, so long as Yuffie's okay with it. I have been thinking about that a lot as well, as in "How far can the thin boundary between life and death be drawn?" There's bodily decomposition to think about (after three days, tissues begin to decay, and a year is a long time), the mind-body-soul ties, the memories that may or may not be tied, and all sorts of other aspects. Through genetic, more specifically, DNA sampling, cloning may be a possibility which will bequeath an astute mind, a perfectly representative body, and potentially memories as well. Perhaps all a necromancer needs is a clone and the ability to snag the original's soul from their eternal rest. This would have any number of potential problems, however, which Kaspar will know. All-in-all, this is heavily enticing. Good ideas, everyone. This is a trilogy waiting to happen, cowritten by us all in the near future! For this to work Ryonne would need the help of Gabriel and the doctor. Gabriel would build the cloning machine, and the doctor would make sure the clone would preserve what he can off Viri's tissue samples for DNA. Ryonne cooperating with Gabriel would be a hilarious thing though. Gabriel woudl totally do it, so he could feel less guilt. Not necessarily Cloning is already possible in our world Just not ethical. If we can do it with our science, then it probably wouldn't be difficult for a typical doctor in this world. After that all would be necessary is a Hyperbolic Time Chamber for growth(aside from the soul obv), which the Doctor and Gabriel couldn't really help with anyway. WOAH WAIT we could do star wars get a clone army up in here I've seen necromancy done in a number of ways in various series, though almost always with the complications that Scrap and Vaude discussed. I'm kind of with Yuffie here and don't think the Doctor and Gabriel would be entirely necessary in this day and age with the advancements in technology and science, though it may add an element of intrigue if they were needed. Personally, I think it would be interesting if Kaspar could bring people back on his own and yet they are majorly flawed, either spiritually or in physical agony, but that's just my opinion. Whatever you guys choose will be fascinating to me. I wanted to address a couple of concerns that I had with your last post of Eclaire's. It is great for the most part, and I really like the tone that you took with her, though Eclaire kind of assaulted Yltriss a lot and left before Yltriss could do anything. I kind of feel that Yltriss should've been given a chance to respond to at least some of the whacks and tears before Eclaire left. If Vaude is okay leaving it as-is that's fine, though in the future it would be best to give a fair amount of room for another person to respond before attacking them, landing blows, and departing, please. : )

However, if at all possible, Sabre, please offer chances for response in the future. It makes a tad more sense to have more interaction between characters, especially if grappling over the course of a minute is concerned. I'll put a post up later today for Yltriss and Ruffie and our new necropal. For now, duty calls.

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted January 6, 2016 As for Rija, 'tis but a desire that lingers within Shinobi's decayed Heart, wanting to see if her longtime friend is okay, hmm? And Cyler killing Shinobi was stated by Yuffie to me at once point and possibly recently. Sounds perfect, then! I could entirely imagine Shinobi desiring to find Rija, even if it weren't possible. I just wanted to clarify that point just in case. : ) Also, please let me know if you'd like me to give you a quick recap on what's happened so far. Thankfully not much has happened and it shouldn't take you too long to catch up, but since three pages is still a lot to go through prior to posting I'd happy proffer whatever info I can to help out. Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) So yeah...Gabriel's sad...or rather, he blames himself for everything the empire did before Oryx's rule... That and he killed Viridem, an awesome green-head, which is also a good cause of guilt I also bring Gabriel's conflicting themes! Mechanized memories as his main theme. This is more of a theme for both him and his AI, since she is connected to his mind, they share memores...mechanized memories...sad, chaotic, and sometimes impossible to understand And "Remember" in the game this track plays, it only plays during one mission in the "genocide route". when you are destroying a cradle, what is a cradle in the armored core universe? friggin giant ships that house and protect 100 milion humans (each cradle) from the poisonous air of the Earth...yeah. so basically this theme is Gabriel remembering all the deaths indirectly caused by his technology, which were milions...but yet he continues... His battle theme - Answer. Gabriel's answer to combat...is simply to fight, and this theme is it. And his final fight theme, when he is sure he has no other way out, and will surely die. He still blames himself, and it shows in the theme, the piano touches specially. they should the guilt, and his "desire" for redemption of sorts. I guess. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) Don't get me started on themes, that's a whole lot of time I need to put into other things. Well Maybe I will anyway After this character though. Name: Stark Red, the Young Wolf Gender: Male Age: 19 Side: Neutral. Leads a band of Forest Outlaws against the Empire. Race: Werewolf Appearance: Wolf Form: Weapon (limit of two): A broadsword of excellent steel, that has yet to fail him. But if it does, he always his teeth and claws. Tanzynite tonics (limit of three): N/A Tanzynite Instigators (limit of three--experimental Tanzynite has a limitation of one, and only with prior approval): N/A Race abilities (nothing too great or powerful, please: basic enhancements preferable): Can transform at will into a humanoid wolf, with razor sharp teeth and claws. These have been enchanted by a wizard in his service to be able to tear through armor like paper. Even while human, Stark has higher strength, speed, and senses than most men. He is also durable, capable of taking hits without going down. But when a wolf, these abilities are far increased, his capabilities incredible. Of course, this all comes at the normal problems. A loss of most of his mind, leaving only a general purpose and the bonds he has with others in place. A weakness to wolfsbane as well as silver. Magic (if any--I’m not providing any strict limitations, but please don’t have every possible magic available. If I feel your choices are too strong I may ask you to reduce them): N/A Personality: Strict and honorbound, full of loyalty and passion. He's bull headed and decisive as well, stubborn to the end. He keeps his vows, no matter the cost, and fights to protect his pack and innocents. All others must earn his respect before he gives it to them. His trust must also be earned, and he gives it away freely to no one. Stark is driven by pride. Backstory: A natural born werewolf of the Northern Woods. His people had been there for centuries, if not millenia. But that matters not to those Imperial thugs, naming themselves righteous conquerors. His people did not die. But they were enslaved. Good work horses after all. Once they were tamed, like wild animals. Even as a little boy, Stark could not stand this. It was a slight to his honor. Wolves were born to be free, not to work for humans. Stark could not stand this. So, once he gained complete control over his transformations, he escaped. Many an Imperial guard met their end on his claws that night. Stark awoke again, for to the North of Langerdon. He continued to travel this way, far to the sea. And then he decided that merely not taking the Imperial slight was not enough. No, they had to pay. For their wrongs, not only to him, but to all. It was easy to gain recruits. The Northerners were a proud people after all, and many felt the same as Stark. They rallied under him, and now, they await his orders. Orders to march on Langerdon. Purple I feel like I have another character in me, but for now Stark will be enough. Whilst he does lead another faction, it is very small. Larger than Messiah, but still much smaller than the Seraphim Order. I was actually wondering if an alliance with Messiah might be a decent plot point. They do need men after all. And yes, Cyler killed Shinobi. I very much like the way that Kuni put the actual events though. Murdering someone in cold blood while they lie helpless sounds like a very Cyler thing to do after all. The Unversed 168 Posted January 7, 2016 You're quite welcome, and thank you very much for this updated list. Unfortunately I actually just edited the character roster last night before you posted, but I didn't add that Zack had been killed. I'll update that. Looks good to me. Thanks for letting me know! Oh... , well at least I help a bit haha Also did you want me to keep updating my list just so you don't miss anything with your list or are you good with updating your list without my help? Also heads up, I have another character for the RP & I'll post it up soon K It was animu. I had a good time...then downhill...then better. Won free stuff from Funimation for knowing Satellizer El Bridget's boobs. And IRONY. I only mispelled it ONCE. Every other time I typed Razgriz it was correct. Literally only the first time at the top is wrong. Not to worry the edit has been made to both lists now K

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted January 7, 2016 Don't get me started on themes, that's a whole lot of time I need to put into other things. It certainly does sound Cyler-esque. Accepted! I like the idea of Stark having his own faction that is joining with the existing ones. I didn't want to create many other groups because I feel there would be too many divisions, but this should be perfect. I sometimes fall behind in updating the list, but I should be able to manage it as I would hate to request you doing this long term. Sounds good concerning your latest creation. I look forward to seeing it. : )

Yuffie. I love you. In a brotherly, platonic, please don't kill me kind of way. My daring plan of daring daring just got better. Allitt is being deployed to Feldspar, so go harass her~ Messiah could use a large werewolf army hidden around the Former Korbenic Empire.
