Well, I'd be lying if I didn't think it was a little too much of a coincidence that Cloud's Compilation hairstyle looked oddly familiar...

But to be fair, that story happens a lot in video games...and prequel stories in general. I mean, it's not note for note the same, but I got heavy Days/BbS vibes from Snake Eater. Why must it always come down to killing the awesome friend/mentor character....why? T3T"

I guess I can see those similarities on the surface, but deep down they're not all that similar at all; Cloud was far from the first thing I thought of when Roxas appeared (well, except maybe the hair... but I associate Cloud more with his spiky unicorn 'do, anyway.)

True, but you have two completely different entities. One has a heart and one doesn't. Sure they have similar scenarios, but that doesn't mean they are "clones". Besides, it hasn't been confirmed anyway.

It kind of is, but if you play Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, there are a number of similarities in regards to character development, especially the ones Enix mentions.

I see what you mean about their character developments. I was thinking more in their personalities and how they are really different. I wouldn't really expect to see Cloud and Roxas to get along for some reason.
