As the title says...whats your average blood pressure?

Mine is 114/74 (My systolic can go as low as 105 in mornings...I'm really not a morning person as you can see lol)

Taking your blood pressure doesn't hurt at all, it may be uncomfortable to some people (but very rare).

I think its important that people know their BP because high blood pressure is the cause of many disease and it does so silently.

Just looking out for the health of my fellow forum members :)

Take care everyone!

Until next year I won't study physiology, where we calculate our own blood pressure (and blood type, although I already know I'm 0+) so right now I can't tell. I'll come back next year xD

we have to be 0+ lol xD

Awesome Oli! Physiology will be heaps interesting!

That isn't your business in my opinion.

True, I guess a better way of wording this poll would be to ask a yes/no question like 'do you know your BP?'

rather than "what is your bp" per se?

But then again I felt that the question was as generic as asking one's 'eye colour' or 'do you take multivitamins'?

That is unless one is particularly sensitive about their blood pressure of course, and if that applied to you case then please accept my deepest apologies.

We live in a world where health issues which were once thought to primarily impact adults and older adults are now showing up in younger adults due to lifestyle and genetic factors. Therefore it is not in my interest to know what your numbers are, in fact it'd be better for you to be made aware of them.

Once again I emphasise that its probably trivia to me if anything since I am not anyone's treating physician on KH13, but more importantly I think its for one's knowledge and benefit to keep track of their own health.

Cheers.

I've taken my blood pressure several times in Applied Science but damn if I remember.

I did applied sciences too! :D

I always love the blood pressure machine!

I can't remember what mine is, but it's good/low because I'm pretty stress-free most of the time.

My cholesterol, on the other hand...

Whats your secret to being stress free?

I'm sure you mean you have high good cholesterol :D

Yes, yes. I am just one who doesn't go that far in sharing personal info. I only talk about my faith, Disney, and Kingdom Hearts. Anything else is not very detailed.

Yep, and that too is fine too

and I respect your decision.

Keep in mind that I did not force people to say their BP, there was an option to not vote on the poll and ignore the entire thread in general.

I mean, I could take my blood pressure right now, but I want to wait until next year because we'll also take our blood pulsations at different times of the day (One at 7AM, 12PM, 5PM, 12AM and 3AM) and a couple of things people has told me but I can't remember xD

I went to a couple of classes last week and it's by far my favorite assignment of the whole career

bwahahaha :D

Yeah, your BP does change throughout the day. You have to wake up 3am at night to do a bp thing? lol

Physiology is awesome, it explains why and how things happen normally in the body

If you do pathology someday, thats the subject that explains why and how things don't work normally

I don't know the numbers off the top of my head, but I do know that my blood pressure is slightly higher than it should be.

Pretty much a result of family history of higher blood pressure (and some other related issues) and my life style.
