Inactive user 59 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) So after a very complicated/busy time i have finally found time to play some video games but now i have a problem i have to many games that i want to Platinum / 100% complete but i always seem to get bored quite often when playing the same game. i used to believe that i could complete a game 100% in one playthrough, now i know that, that is quite hard in some and impossible in others without grinding and playing multiple playthroughs so i ask do you guys have any tips / advice on how to grind efficiently and not get too bored? the list: some i have finished, but not 100% Tales of Symphonia Chronicles ( finished symphonia 1 ) : Need to Grade Grind/Level Grind in Symphonia 2 Tales of Xilla ( Finished ) : ^Grade Tales of Xillia 2 ( Almost finished ) : ^Grade Tales of Hearts R ( Almost finished ) : ^Grade Hyperdevotion Noire ( Lily Ranks ) : Need to Get Every character to 100 friendship when there are 30 characters and each kiss grants 1 Atelier Ayesha ( 2nd Playthrough ) : Multiple Endings I know each game is different but is there a way to make the grinding a little more bearable. Thanks! Edited December 8, 2015 by KingdomHearts378
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted December 8, 2015 well i can't really give specific tips for those games but i will say that for grinding in general you should listen to some music or a podcast to make it a bit bearable. that's what i tend to do whenever i have to level grind in a game. 2 Inactive user and AngelTheWeirdStranger reacted to this
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted December 8, 2015 Well, for Xillia and Xillia 2, the only way to gain grade is to earn titles. Since each title has different requirements, you'd need strategies for specific ones. As far as I know, however, there really isn't much you can do to lessen the pain of the more tedious ones (like using each partner skill and character ability so many times) except for lowering the battle difficulty and having good equipment so battles are easier. For certain titles, those abilities that make you do 1 damage can be beneficial. So if you find a certain type of enemy that allows you to spam some skill that you need to use to earn a title, you can attack and do minimal damage, cutting out the effort to continually find that specific encounter, go through the battle transitions, etc. Have the specific character you're grinding with use the 1 damage skill, while the rest of the party is set to do nothing but defend and heal. Then, once you're done doing what you need, you can change their strategies so that they can fight with normal damage. Unfortunately, I never did grade grinding for Hearts R and Symphonia 2, and haven't played the other games, so I can't help on that front. 1 Inactive user reacted to this
AngelTheWeirdStranger 504 Posted December 8, 2015 I agree with Headphone Jack. Find a good grinding spot in the game and listen to some music you enjoy. That will make the grinding session go smoother and a little bit more enjoyable. 1 Inactive user reacted to this
