Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted November 27, 2015 Oh great! I can play PS games on a PC where half of the games are also available on both either way.... -_- Seriously, why? You probably need a good PC anyway, and if so just get the darn games on Steam'

Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted November 27, 2015 Sweet! Maybe now I can play Steam games with my controller of choice! X3
Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) Hate to be a pessimist, but this idea is pretty dumb. Thanks Sony for helping make my PS Vita even MORE obsolete. Totally justified a $200 handheld purchase. "half"So... for the other 50%, then? Why not play it on your PS4? It's right in the living room. Wonder if even 50% of the games on PS4/Xbox One are actually unavailable on PC anyway. Sweet! Maybe now I can play Steam games with my controller of choice! X3 OR you can hook up your PS4 controller to your PC, connect it by bluetooth, and then play your Steam games. Wonder if even 50% of the games on PS4/Xbox One are actually unavailable on PC anyway. For the same reason that they have it on the Vita; portability. Heck, it's probably BETTER on the PC because the internet connection is more stable, and you can tweak things like graphics and stuff. And I have no idea about 50%; that was the number you threw out, so I ran with it.It's not like this is the be-all end-all of gaming applications, but enough people have probably asked for it to make them consider it a thing, and since Sony bases its culture (if not necessarily its profits) around the exclusives it has, it's a worthwhile endeavor.Mostly sounds like you're a bit bitter about them not supporting the Vita =P. Which is a shame; it might not get a lot of love from Sony, but it's still a solid device with a lot of good games around.

Mysterious Figure 353 Posted November 27, 2015 I'm definitely gonna be making use of this, question now though is when it will actually be available
Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted November 28, 2015 HAHAHAHAHAA, MY PS4 controller, THAT'S a good one! Which is a shame; it might not get a lot of love from Sony, but it's still a solid device with a lot of good games around.Sure you can tweak graphics n' stuff, but I'm very sure there's gonna be a min requirement that average PCs won't cut. You make a good point about portability, though. If Sony does make this Remote Play accessible to a wide variety of common PCs and laptops, MAYBE it'll work, but it's probably not a worthwhile investment for the end-user unless they already have a PS4... I guess. And yeah, I'm very bitter about the whole "let's ditch the Vita and waste people's money" business approach that Sony did after hyping the heck out of the "portable with the power of a console". Remote Play was the last thing I held hope for, since a lot of big third party AAAs like SE, SEGA, and others never gave it the light of day for some good exclusives (even Gravity Rush and Gravity Rush 2 are being made PS4 games). But if this Remote Play PC crud is successful, not to mention that Remote Play on Vita is already crap, it'll just give me a reason to throw it in the trash,

Sora96 17,256 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) Maybe in Japan, but with a cancelled release of FFAgito and no Dissidia in sight, I've given up hope. Enlighten me, what exclusives does SE have in store for Vita? Agito got terminated and they had issues. There's a massive difference. There won't be a Dissidia since it'll be for PS4. Square Enix has the following games already available on PlayStation Vita: Army Corps of Hell Lord of Apocalypse Diffusion Million Arthur Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Rise of Mana WRC 4 FIA World Rally Championship (Publisher) The Walking Dead (Publisher) Chaos Rings III Chaos Rings Chaos Rings II Chaos Rings Omega Deadman's Cross And it has the following games on the way: Final Fantasy Adventure Dragon Quest Builders Setsuna World of Final Fantasy Moon Hunters (Publisher) SaGa Scarlet Grace Dragon Quest Heroes II In addition, Square Enix has made all of their PSOne Classics and all but one of their digital PSP games compatible with PlayStation Vita. And Square Enix has also been keen on remote-play for their PS4 titles such as FFXIV, even having an FFXIV themed PS Vita. They also have a DQ themed Vita on the way. That said, when it comes to using a controller on Steam, I'd much rather use something I ALREADY own.
