Oblivion 22 162 Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) Hanging around Percy, Azriel somehow felt like he should be showing some kind of example to lead, but he didn't know the first thing about "guiding others" when he could barely control himself. Noticing Percy's reaction to Jack, Azriel could tell that his earlier hunch was correct and there was in fact a deep darkness lurking inside of the boy. The blue haired teen also took note of Kopiu and the signals he seemed to be sending with his body language. It was obvious that he didn't like Azriel. For what reason he disliked the son of Ienzo, he had no idea. It was probably due to the fact that Azriel's father was a cold, calculating and manipulative human being and that Azriel took after him. Even though he himself began to think that he wouldn't manipulate people, he definitely saw the potential to do it within him. After hearing that the boat had arrived, Percy had told him that he would draw Azriel later. In response, the stoic teen nodded silently and gave a small wave before walking off to get his bags. Picking up his stuff, including his sword, Azriel was pleased to finally be able to get off the boat as he wasn't a big fan of transportation over water. Making his way towards the docks the boat had arrived at, Azriel slowly stepped off the boat. The first thing he noticed was that Vanitas had seemed to start a staring competition with his counterpart, Ventus, while their daughters introduced themselves. Looking around, a large number of people had gathered here and Azriel was starting to feel uncomfortable. Plugging his ears with his music, Azriel ducked out of the spot light and stood to the side of the boat where he could get some space to breathe. With the wind blowing his hair over his face, Azriel appeared almost like the mysterious background character that everyone would usually overlook, and that's just the way he liked it. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 7, 2015 -Jade- Jade didn't hear his brother's mutterings, as he'd already risen and began to stroll away. He crammed his hands in his pockets, overlooking the ocean as they approached Farefaire island. The wind blew his dark garments and locks, something he'd thought adding color to but never had the inspiration or motivation to do it. Out of the corner of his eye he saw several people still gathering around Vita and her father, to which Jade scoffed and shook his head. He still couldn't believe his brother had accused him of liking her! He didn't like her. She was just an old friend . . . right? Finally the teen shook his head to clear it, rubbing his temple ruefully until a boy nearby caught his attention. He'd been alone for the majority of the trip, and had heard him spout off something about bowing to the prince of the underworld . . . or something to that effect. Slowly he approached James. "Hey, I know you. You're the underworld lord's kid, right? Hades's boy?" James knew they were getting close to shore when he saw land nearby. "About bloody time. Once I take my revenge, and get the Underworld back, I will be able to do what my father never could, and send everyone who has ever wrong me to the Underworld and locked them away forever!" James said to himself. He seemed to be getting all too excited about the arrival. (I think you might've missed Jade speaking to James a bit ago?)
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted December 7, 2015 Sora walked over to the boat to greet everyone like the mayor wanted. 'Hopefully with Peter occupied, we can get through this easier.' Sora said in his mind. He saw Vanitas was here and was already butting heads with Ventus. Luckily, he didn't see any other adults, which meant this could go smoother than he thought. Suddenly, getting off the boat with his luggage was James. "Hello Fatefaire!" James said aloud. He was happy to be on the main island for the first time ever. Sora noticed James, as Peter did too where he was at. Sora looked at at James, "Ah, the son of Hades, I guess it's nice to meet you, or the worst mistake in history." Sora said as he tried to be calm. James looked at Sora, "Well if it isn't Sora, how lovely to see you. Dad has told me all about you, and how you became a 'true hero'" James said with a surprisingly nice voice. Sora stratched his head, "Yeah, well, hopefully I can be done with that whole hero thing for a while. Please make yourself at home here in Fatefaire." Sora said with a fake nice voice. "Well thank you for that Sora. And it's been an honor meeting you." James said as he continued to get off the boat.

cabbage5k2 8 Posted December 8, 2015 *The ship... is incredibly mundane. Nothing extraordinary, or even interesting on it. No interesting vestiges from exotic locations, no indications of strange new locations, not even a label. Just ordinary wood, and a smattering of people boarding off the boat that Thomas could barely see anyways. Thomas sighs, before shaking Rufus awake, causing the bird to display a perturbed look as it yawns softly.* Well this turned out to be a waste of time. Ran off from home and everything for this, mom's gonna kill me again, and then cast life on me, and then possibly kill me again... ehehehehehehe... *Thomas scratches the back of his head as he chuckles nervously. Best to avoid home for a while yet, dinner's probably not for a while yet anyways, not that Thomas ever knew the time or anything. Perhaps if he would finally buy a watch he'd finally arrive at time to his classes... nah, too boring and responsible. There's still the mystery of the other islands to figure out after all, and time's a wasting by staying on this sandy shore. Rufus, having finally risen, pecks at the sand, gnawing on a few small crabs it captures within its beak, before looking at Thomas with a jubilant glint in its eyes, cawing gladly. Thomas replies with a nod, smiling with a similar tone.* "Well, time to go Rufus!" *Thomas swiftly climbs onto Rufus, as Rufus spreads its wings outward and chirps gleefully.* "Haha, you can say that again bud! Onto... afdjlksajoreuwqoeupqsfahahadhaaaaaaaaaawejw..." *Thomas falls off the chocobo as his body shakes slightly, unable to move his limbs. His father has figured his game out, again. His parents appear, having teleported from a decent distance away, making their appearance smoothly as they continue their walk towards their fatuous son. His mother merely sighs as she gently pets Rufus around his lower neck, mercifully left unparalyzed, chirping sadly towards Thomas as he continues his shaking and nonsensical speech.* "I'm sorry my dear, but it's time to go home, Rufus dear." *She then holds her hand firmly against the same spot she earlier petted, and funnels some magical energy around the bird, causing him to dissipate and vanish swiftly, but painlessly, into his distant pen. Thomas' father then approaches his son, and merely glares at the boy, poking him at his side with his ancient wooden staff a few times.* "Maybe you have to cure the boy after all Floe, I may have overdone it..." "You think! I swear to god honey, you're going to kill Tommie someday! You think you overdone you say, I swear to god, Tommie could have his leg blown off and you'd still say that, unbelievable honey, he's your son you know!" "... soooo, is it..." "Yes, I'll get to it, unbelievable... esuna!" *A burst of green light envelops Thomas' shaking body, causing it to stabilize as it liquidates any electric particles from his body. Thomas' breathing begins to stabilize as he looks at his parents, gulping delicately to avoid it being overly visible to them. He truly has been found... oh dear.* "Thank god you're okay Tommie... may I borrow the staff for a moment honey?" "Sure, why not?" *Floe smiles as Daewoo hands her the staff, merely shrugging before looking upon the crowd. He wonders how mad the mayor will be when they finally arrive, the note did say to come to this... thing after all, at least, Daewoo thinks it did, as Thomas spilled tomato juice all over it as he jumped across the table, leaving in a fit of fancy as he usually does.* "Thank you honey..." {interrupts}"Wait, I can explain..." *Floe begins to smack Thomas with the staff with moderate force* "THOMAS ALEXANDER ROTHBAGGIN! HOW DARE YOU LEAVE THE HOME, LEAVE A MESS EVERYWHERE, AND HAVE THE BLOODY AUDACITY TO NOT TELL ME WHERE YOU'RE GOING! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO TELL ME WHERE YOU'RE GOING BEFORE YOU LEAVE! AND EVERYTIME YOU LEAVE A MESS EVERYWHERE AND FORCE YOUR POOR CHOCOBO TO SLAVE YOU AROUND THE PLACE, LEARN TO BLOODY DRIVE ALREADY, OR AT LEAST DO YOUR HOMEWORK ALREADY! YOU CAN'T KEEP FAILING SCHOOL EVERY YEAR, I SWEAR I'M SOMETIMES SURPRISED THAT YOU'RE... haaaaa" *Floe now stops the smacking, having her frustrations out of her system. She swiftly hugs Thomas, causing him to squirm a little.* "Mom..." "I'm... I'm happy you're safe my dearest Tommie... thank the heavens you're okay, I always worry about you you know..." "I know, I know... haaaa, sorry about that mom." "Good. Now come on, we have to go to the bloody pier to get this over with..." "For god's sake honey, be patient for once in your damn life! I finally found Tommie after half a night to running around sobbing, and you just standing their, reading that facking paper of yours! ...fine, I guess we have to... come on Tommie dear, we have to go now." *She gently removes her hug as she helps the poor lad out, still sore from his earlier given bruises. He groans, full knowing that he probably deserves them... but still, why so many, and so hard? Does she not know mercy...?* "Oh wait... Regen." *A light blue flash of light now envelops Thomas, causing his bruises to heal up gradually, reducing his pain and soreness. Thomas scratches the back of his head as he follows his parents, not being stupid enough to flee again, especially with Rufus now banished to his pen again. Poor chocobo, certainly didn't deserve that.* "Hahaaaa... thanks mom." *Thomas freezes for a flash moment, just realizing that he's now approaching the area where everyone is... and he owes half of them money, and a fourth of them favors, including the mayor. And he hasn't been to school for the last three days now. And everyone's literally going to be there, possibly upset at him.* Ah... shiiiitt...
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 8, 2015 -Lux- She yelped as someone randomly grabbed her hand, then she relaxed and let go of Zeph. She turned and hugged Fi tightly, then again took Zeph's hand...and was slightly dragged away as the doors opened. She yelped a bit more. "Hi Fi! Hi Val!" She called out, hoping they could hear her over the din. She whimpered. Luxanna hated crowds...she should have gone back... Then daggers stared between Ventus and Vanitas, and she foregoed holding hands. Her thin arms wrapped around Zeph's waist as she hid away from Vita and Vanitas. -Madoka- The door down, she appeared to watch. She sighed. Oh well. "Alright, say your goodbyes. Kids! Yes kids, please head down the pier. There's a care waiting for you all...actually two cars. Please make sure you have all your things!" Her suit was skintight but run through with cybernetics and all that fun techy stuff, to make her life easier. And right now the built in megaphone worked. "People! Make a path, let these kids get to the cars! Be polite!" -Jack- He followed Vita..and smirked. Brushing past Vita and Vanitas, he stopped in front of Zeph. "You must be...the daughter of Ventus." He began. "And who's the adorable rose and raven haired girl cowering behind you?"
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) Percy looked around as the boat docked and everyone got off. Percy could already see a massive crowd in front of the pier. Percy never saw so many people in his entire life. It was sorta overwhelming, especially since he didn't know if they wanted them there or not. What if they wanted to chase him back to the Forgotten Islands? With a small shake of his head, Percy grabbed his small black suitcase and hurried over to Kopiu, where he stood close to his elder brother. He even took his hand. "This is scary..." He uttered, seeing Vanitas and Ventus arguing. Percy also couldn't help but look at Jack again. "Kopi... Jack is here... I want to tell mom and dad... What if he tries to hurt me again?" He asked, looking up to Kopiu. Meanwhile, Roxas kept on looking. No signs of Naminé. There wasn't even any signs of Replica Riku. "Great..." He said with a disappointing sign. Still, he instantly put his feelings on pause, for he saw Vanitas and Ventus together. Instant bomb right there. Immediately Roxas went to go try and settle down the tension. "Oh, hi Vani! Hi Ven!" Roxas said, sorta sarcastically. He was a little upset that they were arguing like this in front of everyone. He placed one hand on Ventus' shoulder and the other on Vanitas' shoulder. "Let's all try to make the most of today okay? It's only one day..." Honestly Roxas understood how Ventus felt. He knew that if he spotted Saïx or Xemnas on that boat he would've already had his Keyblade out. Roxas noticed Vita standing there as well, referring to Ventus as Uncle. "Oh... Hey there." Roxas said. "I'm technically your Uncle too... My name is Roxas and my son Dexter is out there in the crowd somewhere." On second thought, maybe this was going to be a long day. It didn't help that the entire family tree was as confusing as hell either. Meanwhile Dexter almost flinched from hearing Zeph freak out as she usually did. Already she was practically gone, and Dexter shook his head. "I wish I had that energy." He said with a huff. Sometimes it was a mission to drag himself out of bed. Suddenly, there was shouting and a majority of the crowd turned their heads in silence to hear and see Thomas getting smacked and scolded by his mother. Dexter shook his head and sighed. "That is not good." Out of the corner of his eye, Dexter noticed a random boy standing to the side of the boat. The boy looked cool and looked like he was the only sane person here. Dexter decided to go see, breaking off of the crowd to greet the newcomer. "Hey." Dexter said to Azriel with a wave. "Everyone's acting weird and crazy right? My name's Dexter. My dad is uh... Roxas." Dexter said the last part silently. Upon saying his father's name, Dexter thought about the argument they had the night before. It made Dexter feel the slightest bit guilty. "I dunno if you know him, but he was number thirteen in Organization XIII..." Edited December 8, 2015 by Aqua7KH
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 8, 2015 Zeph was going to ask Lux if she wanted to meet her cousin, just when another child from the forgotten isles showed up and began a conversation, to which she much obliged. "Hi!~" Zeph chimed in her usual matter. "Yup. That's my dad. I'm Zephyrus, though you can call me Zephyr or Zeph for short!" Zeph spoke, snuggling into Lux's embrace. It was nice. "This is my friend Lux! She's kind of shy but totally awesome! Hey, you two have pink hair. That's funny." Ventus and Vanitas turned their attention to Roxas. Ventus gently scoffed. "I'm not causing problems...just making sure that he behaves." Ventus insisted. "And I'm making sure my daughter gets here safely." Vanitas hissed. Vita looked up at Roxas, who said that he was also his uncle...yet he was identical to Ventus. She looked back and forth of the two, her eyes widening. "Huh?! T-Twins?! Are you twins?! You could be twins..." Vita hummed, somewhat confused but determined to make it work. "Um, it's nice to meet you, mister Roxas, mister Ventus." Vita said with a small smile. "Right. Dexter, I'll remember that..." Vita murmured. She turned to her father. "Can I carry my luggage?" She asked. "Ah sure. Be careful. Don't smack people with it." Vanitas said, handing the large suitcase over as Vita took it. "Thanks." She huffed. She gave a small bow at the three men and stepped away, walking off the dock as she glanced around at everyone interacting. "It's so nice..." Vita hummed, smiling as she noticed this girl in what looked to be a mecha suit of some kind. She had only seen such in movies. "Amazing!" She gasped. This would be fun afterall. WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted December 8, 2015 Peter finally managed to get free from the chains holding him and he snuck away from his parents. On his way to avoid Kairi and Sora, Peter bumped into James, who was coming off the boats and was on the main land. The bump, luckily, was mainly Peter's back bumping into the front of James and not knocking anyone over. "So sorry about that." Peter told James. James smiled at Peter, "Don't worry, it's okay. The name is James, I am the son of Hades." James said as Peter was shocked. "You! You are the son of Hades!?!?!? So awesome!!!!! I am Peter, son of Sora and Kairi, even if I could choose not to be." Peter said. James looked confused, "What do you mean?" Peter looked at him, "Well, I am a troublemaker, it's who I am, but no one accepts me for who I really am. Everyone tries to control me and make me be as nice as Sora, but that can't happen because it's just not me." Peter said. James understood the feeling Peter was going through, "I understand. Don't tell anybody, but I am not the nicest guy around here, as I like trouble too. But people think that giving me a second chance can turn me nicer, which I am unsure about. Hey, how about we meet up later, we can become fast friends." James said basically trying to say that James wanted to talk to Peter more in private. But before James could leave, Alex appeared next to Peter. "Peter, there you are. I noticed you weren't where mother left you, and so I was wondering where you went now." Alex said as James noticed Alex. James could tell that she was Peter's sister, younger by the looks of it, and she seemed to have more light than Peter does. "Yeah, I had to get away while I could. Alex, this here is James, son of the Ex-God of the Underworld. He seems to be actually nice compared to his father though, which is a very good thing." Peter said with a smile. James looked at Alex and smiled, "A pleasure, Alex. I hope I get to know this place better, everyone seems so nice compared to back home. This is going to be nice." James said with a smile. Alex looked at James, "Nice to meet you as well, you seem really good compared to what we may have thought about your home. Maybe we can finally live in peace after all?" Alex said with a smile. She then looked at Peter, "Peter, come on, we need to go meet up with mother, she is wanting us to be together when this is all over." Alex said as she began to walk away towards Kairi's location. Peter smiled at James, "We will talk again soon." Peter said with a smile as Peter followed Alex leaving James alone. When James was alone, he smiled as he looked around at everyone, "Compare to the rest of them, maybe Peter will grow to be most useful to me." James said with a smile thinking evil thoughts in his head.
Oblivion 22 162 Posted December 8, 2015 Azriel was keeping his cool and getting ready to move on to the next area when he was suddenly confronted by a boy of similar age to himself. Even though he was unable to hear anything the boy was saying due to his earphones, Azriel was fortunate enough to be proficient at lip reading and managed to understand everything that the boy had said. After being told that he was the son of Roxas, Dexter looked away from Azriel and the blue haired teen took notice of this. Taking his headphones out and placing them over his shoulders, Azriel stared at the Dex with his usual stoic face. "I'm aware of who Roxas is. My name is Azriel Nyx. My father was Ienzo, so I know about the members of the Organisation." Somehow, it had begun to occur to Azriel that Dexter might be not be so different to himself as it seemed like they'd found something in common, a disappointment for their fathers. Looking around, Azriel found that a lot of the other people were being quite loud and obnoxious about this meeting, causing the teen's eye to twitch ever so slightly in annoyance. Turning back to Dex, he found that he was much more level headed in comparison to the rest of the common folk of Fatefaire. However, despite the fact he was acting nice, Azriel wasn't about to be sucked into a friendship with a boy he didn't even know, from a country that held all of the heroes responsible for the Organisations downfall. Instead, Azriel did what he knew how to do best. He began to test Dexter psychologically. "I am quite surprised that you are being this forward with me. I naturally assumed that the people who lived here feared us who come from the Forgotten Isles due to our heritage." Being blunt was another one of Azriel's fortes. "So... I'm intrigued to know why you decided to confront me instead of being drawn like a moth to a flame to that mess of human interaction over there?" Azriel asked calmly, pointing with his thumb towards where Vita, Jack, Zeph and the others were.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 8, 2015 Roxas shook his head. "And your daughter WILL be safe here, Vanitas. Just don't do anything bad because you're daughter is going to be living here for a while so embarrassing her is a really bad move. Wait actually," Roxas took his hands off of the bickering duo's shoulder and looked right into Vanitas' eyes. "You might not know her but um... Have you seen a girl named Naminé? She has really nice pale blonde hair and blue eyes... And she's really pretty. She draws a lot and she lives on the island with you. I noticed she isn't on the boat... Is she okay? Does she have kids of her own? Is she happy with Riku's Replica?" Roxas couldn't really help himself. He hasn't been in contact with Naminé for so long he couldn't help but ask someone who possibly knew these answers. Dexter nodded as he listened to what Azriel told him. The son of another Organization XIII member... It felt somewhat strange. Slowly, Dexter thought that perhaps he had much more in common with the Forgotten Islanders than most of the people in Fatefaire. Were there other Organization XIII kin here as well? "That's cool. And I don't fear you." Dexter said with a shrug. He was one of the only kids in the mainlands who didn't really think much of who were coming. "My dad always taught me to not judge, and that a lot of the people on the Forgotten Island aren't bad." He looked to the other kids and teens getting off of the boat. "You guys are just regular guys my age. I don't care what anyone else here says. I'm not going to automatically judge someone just because of their parents or where there from." He looked back to Azriel, and rubbed the back of his head with a chuckle. "Well, I came to you because you looked like the only sane person in this mess. And besides... You look like a cool guy to talk to. I figured I could say hi to you since it looks like everyone's busy over there freaking out and being really loud for no reason." Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 8, 2015 -Jack- He smirked. "No, it's not. I daresay, we might have some blood." He reached over, but Lux recoiled away. Holding his hands up, Jack didn't even react. "I should be going. It was a pleasure to meet you." He brushed past, but Lux's hug got tighter on Zeph as their eyes made contact. He continued walking, until he reached Vita. "Hey. I can take your bag." He said. "I got an extra arm." -Lux- She whimpered softly, and suddenly hid her face in Zeph's hair. She actually moved them both a bit, trying to keep Zeph between herself and...Roxas? Yes, she was very nervous around Roxas. She hadn't met him very much and all she knew was that after Xion left him, she was born. Some people said she was one of the reasons they broke up, and now she was more scared then ever, to the point she hadn't even stopped to think that she was overstepping her bounds with Zephyr. "S...sorry." She whispered. "I...I'm scared to face Roxas." -Madoka- She looked around, and spotted Vita and Jack. Seeing the others being tended to, she slipped through the crowd, appearing in front of Jack and Vita. "Hi. I'm Madoka Possible. I'll be one of your guides to Fatefair. Follow me to the car." She looked neutral in it all. "I hope this welcome isn't overboard. Not every day does Fatefair extended this sort of forgiveness."
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 8, 2015 Vanitas scoffed before staring at Roxas straight into his eyes, before ever so softly, yet passive-agressively answering Roxas' question. "Do I look like I give a damn about your exes?" Vanitas hissed, a little bit too honest for his own good. However he saw this as a perfect chance to at least get a kick out of the trip. "But since you asked. I know her. Nice girl. Definitely doesn't fit in the whole dark island stereotype, you know? Last I saw of her she was as happy as one could be in a marriage. Then again I could be wrong. I don't meddle in other's affairs unless it benefits me." Vanitas chuckled. He glanced around. "However, you could totally ask her children! They came here as part of the program as well. Two darling boys, may I add." Vanitas hummed. If he wasn't over Namine then he wanted to throw some salt into the wounds. Ventus huffed, doing his best to keep his anger to himself. "Right then. We got it covered. You should be heading home now." Ventus insisted. Zeph watched Jack walk away. There was something off about him, she couldn't seem to pinpoint what though. As she heard Lux, she raised one arm and gently patted Lux on the head. "It's cool! Roxas is the type to try to be a cool dad but fails at it anyways. We can go back to your house or meet more transfer students!" Zeph chimed. "Oh, but that guy said something about being related...could it be you two are cousins?" Zeph asked. Vita awed at the mecha girl, only diverting her attention once she heard Jack. Vita smiled and waved one of her hands. "Oh! It's fine really. I can do it. It's not that heavy anyways. Thank you though." Vita assured as she glanced back up and a single word seemed to stand out. Forgiveness. Forgiveness to the next generation. It would be no surprise if everyone there was just watching to wait and see if any of them slipped up. "Right." She smiled again. "I'm Vita, and this is Jack. Nice meeting you Madoka."
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 9, 2015 As soon as Vanitas opened his mouth Roxas almost immediately wanted to just tackle the black haired adult. However, he somehow remembered that Dexter was still in the crowd somewhere and was able to hold himself back. It wasn't that what he said about Naminé bothered him- or maybe it did, a little. Roxas always expected Naminé to be happy on the Isles, and even hoped that she was. It was just the fact that Vanitas was a total prick that really pissed Roxas off. He knew exactly what Vanitas was trying to do; rub salt in the wounds. "She's not my ex." Roxas uttered, dangerously. Vanitas suddenly just made the top five of Roxas' hit list. Still, even though he never dated her, he wanted to- but she was with Riku's Replica. And Roxas didn't want to take her away from that. As a result he got together with Xion although it ended badly. Despite his wishes for Naminé to be happy in her marriage, the news that she had not only one but two kids, it hurt. Even if it was a little. Roxas turned around, and went to leave. As he did, he uttered in Ventus' ear. "If you end up punching this douchebag by the end of the night, do me a favor and throw in another punch for me." With that, Roxas huffed and went to leave. Mid way off the pier, he bumped into Zeph and... Lux? "H-Hi ladies!" Roxas said, trying to make it look like he wasn't about to punch a guy ten seconds ago. He was surprised the daughter of his ex wife was there. She never went into crowds. Roxas was rather alarmed to see her, for she didn't want to scare her. Despite his divorce, and the very false rumors of it, Roxas never wanted to be mean to the poor girl. If anything he wanted to be a sort of fatherly figure to her. "Hey, Dexter was really excited to see you the other day." Roxas said softly with a smile, trying to appear as friendly as possible to Lux. "He wouldn't stop talking about you. Maybe you can come over sometime to hang out with him? You can come too, Zeph." He said, looking up to Zephyr. "I'll cook something you both like. I'm not the best cook but I manage." Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 9, 2015 -Jack- Jack inclined his head to Madoka. "Jack Nabaat. Pleasure." He let Vita do any and all talking beyond that - He preferred to have time to carefully choice words to people, especially ones he might need to...manipulate later. She seemed like the type to be on guard, so extra care would be needed. -Madoka- She smiled. "Vita. What a simple, yet interesting name. And Jack...my my..." She paused, then laughed. "Sorry, sorry. I'm not trying to make fun of you, I promise. Just...your names are so normal. Xehanort, Vanitas, Maleficent...and here you two are, with such normal, not evil names. I'm just finding humor in how your parents decided to be so mundane with names when you, Vita, could have been like...Borealis or something, and Jack...Thunderfang Von Stormbreaker?" She grinned. -Lux- The patting from Zeph clearly calmed her down, to the point Roxas arriving didn't make her go full lockdown mode...and while she slightly flinched and was about to, it took time for her to process and in that moment...She saw a flash of rose. Looking over, she found her eyes meeting Lightning's, and in that few moments their unspoken language said it all. Ever since Lux was a child she was quiet. At times Xion was worried she was mute, but Lightning was nothing if not an extremely persistent person. Learning all of Lux's little things, together they formed a sort of silent language that allowed Light to get under Lux's armor, and get her to finally speak. Hilariously enough, Luxanna's very first word ended up being "kakorrhaphiophobia" or, the fear of failing. One thing that, ironicly, Lightning had been stressing about that day. And now, in that moment...one hand reached out from Zeph's waist to Roxas. "...can you make pot roast?"
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 9, 2015 -Fiona- The crowd thickened immensely over a short duration, and Fiona was partly afraid of being trampled. There were so many new kids that it was hard for her not to burst forth and try to make friends with them all. However, it seemed that everyone was desirous to get their introductions in, and a lot of family members wanted to introduce themselves before their parents left back to the Forgotten Isle. Once things began to die down Fiona offered Dexter a smile. "Hey! How are things hanging? I haven't seen you around in a while. I've been asking my dad about you a lot, but whenever I do he starts to get suspicious that we like each other. The oaf!" Of course, Fiona had no shame in calling her own dad names when in jest. Nearby Fiona could tell that Lux was starting to get agitated, perhaps due to the crowd. She gently extended a hand to Lux's shoulder, following her cousin's gaze that led a short distance away. There stood her Aunt Lightning, whom she adored and wanted to be just like. "Hey, Aunt Lightning!" Fiona waved her free hand over her head, desperate to catch her attention. -Jade- So much noise, and so much color. Jade stepped off the ship and admired all of the surrounding beauty. Even though he was simply off the coastline he already could take in the beauty that Fatefaire had to offer. He took a deep breath and filled his lungs with the fresh, sweet-smelling air. Yes, he could get used to this. Nearby he saw his brother glaring in the distance. Following his gaze he saw that it was toward Sora. The elder teen let out a sigh and clapped Kurai (or Kasai?) on the shoulder. "Come on, he's not worth it. Let's go see where we can drop our luggage off, and then possibly find something to eat. I don't know about you, but those crackers just didn't satisfy me."
Azure Flame 670 Posted December 9, 2015 (Kurai, sorry, reverted to an old name I used to use for some reason) Kurai sighed and said "Yeah, I guess we can do that." He readjusted the pack on his back and followed his brother.
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted December 10, 2015 Kopiu ruffled Percy's hair affectionately as he continued to maneuver them off the boat and onto the pier. "It'll be fine. Things like that don't happen here in the mainland. There will always be people around to help, and they'll be happy about it too. People are good here." Kopiu said to his kid brother, glancing around the pier in an effort to find someone he recognized. He found someone. "Come on, I see Roxas. Mom said we could rely on him, remember?" The Replica's Son said to Percy. He detached himself from his younger brother, and jogged over to the man. "Hey Mister uh... Mister Roxas!" Kopiu called as he realized he did know his last name. "Sorry to bother you sir, but my brother and I were looking for someone to help us out around here. We're the children of Namine and Riku version 2.0." Kopiu said, his tone cheery, hoping his enthusiastic actions would help to lift his brother's spirits. Acta watched as the children of the villains descended from the boat. Oh did she have a desire to make some trouble. She glanced around, and found Eraqus farther back in the crowd. Good, there was nobody to know it was her. She moved deeper into the crowd, scooping up a rock from the ground as she moved. Finding a good vantage point was pretty easy, and she looked for a good target. Then she saw him. The younger son of Xehanort... That man had destroyed her parents. She would recognize his spawn anywhere. This would be a good first vengeance. Acta hurled the rock at Kurai's head and yelled out loudly. "Go back to your miserable island and leave us alone pricks!" And she vanished into the crowd, moving away from her position at a high speed, but not enough to draw too much attention.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 10, 2015 Zeph smiled at Roxas. When she was much smaller it was extremely hard to tell him and her own father apart when they were in the same room. As she grew however she managed to pick out the small differences that made the other unique besides their looks. By now it was normal while other people here and there still scratched their heads over it. "Oh! Pot roast sounds really good right now! Oh maybe with mustard covered pickles? Or just the pickles." Zeph chimed brightly. She watched as two children walked up, their white hair standing out as they spoke of a girl named Namine. She wasn't a stranger to Zeph's ears only because her name was one of the many that were told in stories of the great adventures that saved the universe from the heartless and so on. "You two are from the islands too! Hi! I'm Zeph! This is my buddy Lux!" Zeph introduced. Any peace was quickly ruptured with the yell of some obscenity followed by a rock being thrown straight at someone's face. Ventus wished he could throw a punch. But not only did he not want to set a bad example, the mayor would give him an earful if he started a fight. However it seemed he wouldn't be the first one as someone threw a rock at a kid from the crowd. "Oh ****." Ventus cursed. Before he could turn, he felt a strong grasp on his shoulder. Vanitas glared at him with a hatred that could only be compared to the one from when they fought years ago. "I want my kid to do better. But if I learn that anything happens to her. I will not hesitate to die burning this place down." Vanitas hissed, and like that he turned away. Whether it was fatherly love or not he couldn't tell. Vita couldn't help but to chuckle at the mention. Rumors would be rumors. "Well thankfully our parents had better taste of names than whoever named them." Vita joked. As he settled her suitcase in the trunk of the car, she heard the yell, and as she turned her head she saw the rock flying at a familiar face. "Oh no!" Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 10, 2015 Roxas held his breath for a few moments, fearing the Lux would hide even more. Luckily, after a few moments Lux finally responded by holding out her hand to him, and asking for pot roast. Roxas smiled and held her hand. "Pot roast it is." He said with a chuckle. "... And I guess I'm going to make pickles covered in mustard too." Suddenly, Roxas heard his name being called elsewhere. Roxas turned and saw two boys. One Dexter's age and the other much younger. Suddenly Roxas felt like he was going to pass out for a moment. They looked exactly like Naminé. He knew exactly who they were. "H-Huh...?" Roxas didn't really know what to say, but he snapped himself out of it. "Wow... I can see that. You both look exactly like your mother and father. You have your mother's hair and father's eyes... And your younger bother has your father's hair and mother's eyes. Y-Yeah... I'm Roxas. Your mother is my best friend and I'll definitely protect you both while you're here." Sadly, the introduction was cut kinda short because some punk decided to throw a rock and yell. Roxas slammed his palm on his face. "You've got to be kidding me." Percy liked up at his older brother and nodded, staying as close as he possibly could to him. He did not want to be separated at all from his elder. He followed him closely and once they made it to Roxas and the others. Percy hid behind Kopiu like Lux hid behind Zeph. "M-My name is Percy and this is Kopiu..." He said shyly, silently. He held his sketchbook closely to his chest, and when he heard a sudden shout Percy jumped and looked and looked towards where the person responsible was. Already the Mayor was having a fit. "Who ever did that kupo must immediately turn themselves in kupo! I will not have any of you punks harass the newcomers KUPO!" He flew around, even flying above the entire crowd to see who could've possibly done it. Meanwhile Dexter looked to Fiona as she approached. He gave a small wave and looked to Azriel. "Hey, this is my friend Fiona. Fiona, this is Azriel. I was just talking to him about how crazy everyone is today." He rubbed the back of his head at Fiona's comment of them liking each other. "Well, your dad gets suspicious over a hamster." He said with a chuckle, but already Fiona was waving for Lightning. He looked over to Azriel. "That's my stepmom Lightning. She's pretty cool. Hey, I think they're gonna make you guys go into those cars. If you want we could totally ditch them and I could show you around town. The school too." Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 10, 2015 -Lux- She smiled and seemed to finally relax. She then, finally, managed to process everything. "Y...you...you'd want to come to my house?" She asked. Lux wasn't usually this slow, but...in her defense, she was about ready to Army of One out of there. "...n...no one ever wants to come home with me...usually I'm ignored or people throw gum and I go alone...n...no one has ever wanted to do this..." What would they even do? Did Zeph like video games? Fanfiction? Cosplay? Maids? Handc - wait no. Lux didn't see the rock throw, but in a swirl of petals Lightning appeared, catching the rock before it hit anyone. She tossed it up a few times, and threw it into the water. Sadly, Lightning had to prioritize protection over saying hi to Fiona. No worries. She had money for more ice cream. Ice cream fixed everything. "I'd help you, Mayor, but solving these crimes are no longer in my job description. If it was at the mall sure. But unfortunately...nope, pier. Ciao." She turned and vanished again.........and re-appeared at the end of the pier. And why would she do that? To deftly snag the back of Acta's shirt as she passed, stopping the trouble-making daughter of Terra and Aqua in her tracks. "Acta." She said calmly. "After all the shenanigans you got into while I was mayor...you throw a rock. And you expected no one to know...well, it was my job to know those kinds of things, and pick out voices in a crowd. I'm no longer Sheriff, but I will warn you this once - do not attack them without proper provocation. If you were on that island and let over, given a chance to be the people their parents were not, you would not wish rocks be thrown." Lightning sighed. "I expected more out of you." She let go, dusting her jacket off. "...now, if the rock was thrown at the Mayor, I dare say he'd be at a loss for someone protecting him." She said, standing there. She just watched the crowd...watched Lux. -Madoka- She turned to watch Lightning snag it from middair. "...at least she's good for something, I guess." She said...then rubbed her forehead. "That was out of line.." -Jack- And he only smirked. So not is all perfect in paradise.
Oblivion 22 162 Posted December 10, 2015 Azriel payed attention as Dex explained his reasons for approaching him, finding them to be completely normal and exactly what he had expected. It's not that he thought that Dexter was predictable, but it was simply because it was what Azriel himself would have done in that situation. With Fiora arriving, Azriel had yet another person to focus in on. To Azriel. Fiora seemed to be quite the cheerful yet fickle type who would lose interest in something and move on to something else almost immediately. An example of this would be when she had just started a conversation with Dexter and then switched to waving at her Aunt. However, Azriel was more interested in Dexter's reaction as Fiora brought up that the two of them like each other. While Fiora seemed to laugh it off, Arzriel noticed that Dexter seemed a little off guard with his hand behind his head. It was official, he liked her. Even if he had this knowledge, it would be very unlike Azriel to speak up either way and so he decided to remain silent. Dexter than suggested that he and Fiona show Azriel around instead of sticking with the others and being directed to the cars. Not wanting to be hearded into a car as if he were some kind of sheep in a flock, Azriel was about to take Dexter up on his offer when he noticed the sound of trouble. It appeared that a troublemaker had thrown a rock and cursed at the people who'd arrived off the boat. Seeing Lightning come to the rescue, Azriel followed the figure directly back to the cause of the problem to find a girl around his age with bright blue hair. Noticing that he had somewhat similar hair to her, Azriel's expression changed to that of a curious scholar. Who was this girl who had suddenly appeared and was now caught within Lightning's grasp? The azure haired teen then turned back to Dexter with a nod. "Looks like it might be a good idea to get out of here after all. I am not sticking around to have a rock thrown at me." Almost instinctively, Azriel's hand had grasped it self around the sheathe of his sword, somehow expecting more resistance from the "perfect" townsfolk of Fatefaire. While he had the moment, he decided to ask Dexter and Fiora if they knew who the individual was. "Would either of you know who that blue haired girl who threw the rock was? I want to make sure that I'm... Prepared." Azriel asked calmly, his eyes now darting through the crowd as he seemed slightly on edge from the attempted assault. By just listening to his voice, you would naturally assume that he was calm, but by reading his body language, it was easy to tell that Azriel was being cautious about his surroundings much more than he had been previously, one hand still gripping his sheathe tightly. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 10, 2015 -Jade- The dock was certainly crowded, and no concession stands were in sight. Wouldn't these people be a little more prepared? Jade stole a glance behind him and found that Kurai was still following, which was a good sign. Maybe things would be better on this island than he'd hoped. That was, until, his brother was nearly assaulted with a rock to the head. It would've made quite the mark had a rose-haired woman not appeared and snatched it. Still, Jade was furious. How could someone judge them without even knowing them? That was precisely the kind of attitude Jade couldn't stand. He glared into the crowd. Apparently the offender was a resident, and also quite obviously female. Unfortunately there were many female residents surrounding them, making Jade uncertain on where to begin finding her. It didn't matter. If he found that girl he was going to tear her apart limb for limb. No one messes with his brother and gets away with it, even if he wasn't hurt. The dark-haired teen fled his brother's side and disappeared into the crowd that the rock had come from, searching for any quick movement or any guilty face. "Hey! You don't go attacking innocent people! If I find you I'm going to kill you!" -Fiona- The pale-haired young teen bowed to Azriel, smile wide. "Pleased to meet you, Azriel!" Everything seemed great and well, with Dex offering to show Azriel around town. This arrested Fiona's attention, to which she nodded. "Sure, it would be great! Dex, let's show him our favorite ice cream parlor, too, okay? Maybe some of our favorite haunts?" To be honest she really wanted to hang out with her best friend more, but she was also very eager to make these villains' kids comfortable on the island. That was until, however, someone wise decided to throw a rock at one of the Island kids and shout insults. A look of horror replaced Fiona's frown, as she followed Dex and Azriel as they came upon the assailant. Fiona bit her lip as she glanced from Acta to Azriel. Why would she do this? She could tell Azriel didn't take assault well. Even if it weren't directed toward him, it was still insulting his friends and himself. Carefully Fiona placed a hand on his forearm, looking up into his face imploringly. "Azriel, she doesn't understand. A lot of us are very happy to have you all here but, well, some people hold grudges against you for what your parents did in the past." A somber expression crossed her face, her pale bangs falling into her face. "I'm a firm believer in justice, and I don't care what anyone did. You are you, and you can't be judged for something others did. That's totally unfair, and a lot of us are going to be accepting, too." She turned to offer Dex a slight grin. "Right, Dex?" Silently she hoped he'd back her up, as he could be more convincing than herself.
Azure Flame 670 Posted December 11, 2015 Kurai spun around, summoning his Keyblade once the rock was thrown, ready to deflect it, only to find some woman had caught it. He then watched his brother chase after whoever threw it. "Is this really necessary?" he called out. "We, who have spent our lives in such a horrible place because you 'heroes' couldn't accept what our parents had done and decided we should suffer as well. Don't you think we've suffered enough?"
