rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted December 11, 2015 {Eraqus} Eraqus sighed as he strode forward, heading for Jade. He knew very well who had thrown the rock. He should have had a talk with Acta before this, but he had been busy with his own thoughts. "And it's 50-50 whether she would have paid attention anyway." He thought sourly. Now, thanks to his sister, he had to make peace with the sons of Xehanort. Eraqus finally made it into Jade's path, holding up a hand as an entreaty for the young man to stop, though his stance said that asking was just the first in his list of options. "Your want to protect your brother is admirable, but here and now, it could harm more than help you." He said in a quiet voice. "You are being watched by many. The ability to let go will impress most." He really wanted to answer Kurai's statement, but right now, the other son of Xehanort was his primary concern. {Val} After waving back to Lux and parting ways with Madoka, Val wondered through the crowd, watching each person who got of the boat. There was some tension, sure, but things seemed to be alright. Then there was the rock. Val let out a breath when Aunt Lightning caught it. She stayed and watched that unfold for a few moments, noting Eraqus stepping in. He was a bit of a mystery to Val, usually just watching events then taking part. "I wonder what got him involved?" She thought, then shrugged. Moseying on, Val caught sight of Jack and made for him. "Jack, right?" She asked when she got closer. "I'm your cousin, Val. Pleased to meet you!" She treated Jack to a genuine smile and offered her hand.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 12, 2015 Roxas hissed as the events of the rock took place. Luckily Lightning was there to deflect the rock. Why couldn't today just be peaceful? He wasn't even suprised that it was a resident of Fatefaire who did it. Roxas firmly believed that some of the kids here are far worse than the kids on the Forgotten Isles. No one here was angels. This was far from paradise. Roxas looked to Ventus and Vanitas, then to their kids as well as Naminé's kids. "I think we should start getting everyone in the car before someone else tries something." He shouted up to the Mayor. "Hey! Moogle! Instead of flying around up there doing nothing how about you actually help out for once?" With that, Roxas shook his head and looked back to the other kids with him. He was just about done with this town. "Vanitas, you can come with Vita in the car that I'm driving if you want. Ventus... It's up to you if you're okay with Zeph coming. Lux, same goes with your mother." Roxas looked to Kopiu and Percy. "Sorry... About all this... Come in the car with me. I'll make sure you're both safe and I'll help you settle into your rooms." Percy was shaking from the rock that was thrown. He was afraid of someone doing the same to him and Kopiu. "Kopi..." Percy uttered as he hid behind his elder brother and tightly gripped Kopiu's hand. Kopiu's hand began to burn, as unconsciously some slight darkness seeped out of the skin on Percy's hand. "I'm scared..." He looked up to his brother, not knowing if going with Roxas was a good idea or not. Meanwhile Mayor Moogle... Was having a fit. "This is an outrage- kupo! I will NOT have you little good for nothing punks harass your new fellow peers! Aqua! Terra! Come grab your daughter-" he was cut off by Lightning appearing out of nowhere, and thankfully grabbing the rock. The Mayor huffed and decided to fly down to Kurai to apologize. 'I don't need anyone to protect me from flying rocks kupo...' The Mayor uttered to himself in response to Lightning's comment. He went infront of Kurai to bow apologetically. "We understand you've suffered enough, kupo!" The Mayor said. "That's why we welcome you here with open arms kupo! Some people here... Are troublemakers kupo..." Honestly, he hoped someone made it to Jade. Snow, Roxas, anyone. He really didn't want another mess to deal with. "Snow!!!" Moogle called. This day was not going to be the greatest. "Come assist-kupo! As for everyone else, I want everyone to go home and as for the kids in the program, please make your way to the cars kupo! The rock thrower will be dealt with and punished accordingly kupo!" Dexter meanwhile facepalmed at the Mayor's actions. He honestly thought that the mayor was a total joke. He turned to see Azriel being very defensive. Dexter shook his head at Acta's actions and put his hand on Azriel's shoulder. "Fiona's right. A lot of us here are excited to have you guys be with us. Just ignore her. She isn't important." He huffed. Dexter was just really aggravated with Acta. He couldn't stand bullying. If it was a boy who had thrown that rock, Dexter would've instantly been over there and fought. If it wasn't for Lightning and everyone already handling the situation... Dexter would've been chasing after Acta as well. "Come on, let's blow this joint. It's crazy as it is here already right now. You don't have to worry about getting hurt. You're a part of the gang now- you're with us. We accept you. And if anyone tries to throw rocks at you or hurt you..." Dexter held out his free hand to the side to summon his Keyblade- Two Become One. "Then I'll be right with ya. I'll knock all of those rocks back at them! Now come on... Let go of your sword. We gotta start waking if we're going to grab some ice cream." Dexter smiled, a genuine smile. He desummoned his Keyblade and looked to Fiona with a chuckle. "I think we should leave visiting a haunted house for another time." (I had no clue what haunts means so I just figured it meant haunted house or something.) Oblivion 22 162 Posted December 12, 2015 Looking back between Fiona and Dexter as they tried to calm the boy down, Azriel hesitated for a few seconds before his hand slowly slipped off the handle of his sword. Almost lifelessly, his arms dug themselves back into the pockets of his trousers and his hair lapped in front of his eyes once again. "Alright... I'll stay with you guys for now. Sorry for putting you on edge. I have... Problems at home." And with that brief and completely unexplained explanation, Azriel quickly changed the topic at hand to one he felt more comfortable with. However, he still looked just as unmotivated as before. "So, you mentioned somewhere to get ice cream? Is there something special about it? Because I thought that you could get ice cream anywhere." Azriel looked back at the crowds and saw how everyone was being directed towards the cars that would take them to the school and the dorms that they would be staying at. Azriel's eyes narrowed in disappointment as seemingly all of the children followed orders and did as they were told. This wasn't the freedom he'd imagined getting once leaving the Forgotten Isles. Instead, he and the others were treated like criminals for crimes that their parents committed, being moved from one prison to another. In Azriel's opinion, the girl who'd thrown the rock embodied the true desires of what the people of Fatefaire wanted. Sure, not all of the people, but a grand majority for certain. Dexter and Fiona seemed nice enough, but even Azriel knew that he wouldn't truly be treated exactly the same as everyone else. Not as an object of hatred, but simply shoved to one side for being different. The teen held his head in pain as these thoughts of betrayal slowly overwhelmed his mind. It would only take one incident of the darkness heart taking him over and then he would never be trusted again. But, even if the problems he had weighed as much as the weight of the world, Azriel was capable of hiding it without a single trace of anything wrong. He even contemplated whether or not he even had emotions. Maybe he truly was "heartless". Choosing to only sigh and walk away from the crowds while hoping Dexter and Fiona would follow afterwards, the boy stared up at the blue sky that seemed vastly different to the usually cloudy and gloomy sky of the Forgotten Isles. "The two of you are lucky to be surrounded by so much light here... It's a little..." Azriel trailed off into his own thoughts again, feeling pitiful about his dark upbringing. He then sighed and looked back at his new "friends". "Never mind... You two lead the way." (By the way, I'm pretty sure Mystics meant "Haunt" as in the noun that describes somewhere you go to often. It's like a hang-out spot. Maybe you can just play it off as Dex being uneducated in the English Language. )
Azure Flame 670 Posted December 12, 2015 "Much appreciated." Kurai said, dismissing his father's Keyblade and going with Dexter and Fiona. "I'm Kurai, son of Xehanort and Malificent, and you? By the way, who was that goof flying around?" he asked, referring to the moogle.
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 12, 2015 -Lux- She looked towards Lightning, ready to run, when said person was now beside them. She sighed softly. "Roxas. Keep an eye on Lux for..." she then realized how Lux was clinging. Smiling, she knelt in front of Zeph. "Hey kiddo. Do me a favor. This is my daughter, and I'd appreciate if you'd look after her for awhile. Can you do that?" Lux blushed and looked away. -Jack- He looked at Val. He looked nuetral for a moment, then rolled his eyes. "Cousin? Means you're kid of Serah...because, last I checked...the coward clinging to Zeph was nearly the spitting image of Lightning." He removed his glasses. "Jack Nabaat. But I believe you already know me." -Madoka- She frowned and just helped the villain kids into the cars, leaving Mayor Moogle to be his usual bumbling self. Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 13, 2015 Zeph tilted her head. The moment the rock went flying everything hit the fan. Well, peace wasn’t always the most lasting of things. Zeph looked up at Lightning with big eyes, gleaming happily as Lightning asked if she could look after Lux. “OF COURSE! I’ll watch over her like a hawk, mam!~” Zeph replied happily as she held onto Lux’s hand. Vanitas glanced at Roxas and scoffed. “The fact that you are acting nice to me just because you pity my daughter being mine is laughable, you know that?” Vanitas hissed. Ventus groaned. “He’s trying to help.” Ventus insisted. “I know. But I don’t think my presence around here would do any more good…as long as she resides her the further away I stand the better.” He insisted, giving a hint that somewhere in that pit of cold, utter darkness that he called a heart, if he had any, he actually cared for his only kin. “I’ll be heading back. The cheerfulness that this island is giving off is starting to make me sick.” Vanitas insisted, giving a nod before walking off. “Don’t you dare underestimate my daughter…she’s mine after all.” And like that, he created a dark portal of his own back to his home. “Farewell.” He walked through, and it disappeared. Ventus sighed and glanced over at Zeph. “Do you want to go with Roxas?” He asked. Zeph nodded. He nodded back and looked at Roxas. “They’re going to go with you then. I’ll stay behind and help the poor major with his panic attacks.” Ventus insisted. Vita smiled as Jack had apparently found a cousin. She entered the vehicle and took a seat, glancing out the window as she thought about the rock incident that almost happened. “I hope I don’t lose my head by the end of the semester…”
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted December 13, 2015 Peter and Alex noticed the rock throwing when it happened. Peter was quite puzzled, himself, about what happened. Even a troublemaker like himself wouldn't judge someone by first glance. Peter had half a mind to go teach Acta a lesson as well, but with him being around his sister wasn't the time. Peter may be a troublemaker for almost everyone else, but he always tried being the best brother Alex could have. There was more to his backstory then most people knew about, and it wanted to keep it that way. Peter looked at Alex, "Okay, so I guess the first thing we do is meet up with mother, than we can help out everyone else who may need it." Peter said with a smile. Alex knew the rock throwing had to been from Acta, Acta depised villains from her knowledge, which made Acta that most likely to cause harm to any of them. Alex wasn't sure what to make of the newcomers, but she knew to not be like Acta, cause that is the wrongful thing to do. She nodded at Peter, "Right. We should help make everything run smoother." Alex said. The two of them then started walking until they finally came to Kairi. Kairi looked at them, "Oh thank goodness Alex found you, Peter. You know I don't try and punish you, just try to keep you from causing too much of a fuss. But thankfully you two would never be like the person with the rock. Okay, I think we need to head home for now, and then I need to go to my classroom so I can prepare for my next class." Kairi said as her two kids and herself started to walk home, which again was very nearby the beach area, so they didn't have to walk far to get there. James sighed at everything that was going on already, "These people, they are different than expected. Maybe this could turn ugly, or maybe we could get along? Either way, I am not leaving this place anytime soon." James said as he got into a nearby car and waited to arrive where he would be staying. Sora noticed everything going on as well, and he wanted to go get ahold of Acta, but he had no real right to, but he still wanted to. He decided to take a look around and make sure everyone got in the cars easily.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 14, 2015 (Oblivion's right: I meant haunt as in favorite hot spots or locations. Apologies there.) -Jade- "Oh, so diplomatic," said Jade sarcastically, giving Eraqus a glare. "So you're saying that we should put up with abuse without saying anything? How exactly is that fair or going to prove anything? That we're just less than everyone else and will take this crap?" The dark-haired teen growled in frustration, glancing around the crowd. The one responsible was nowhere in sight, and admittedly he'd look like an idiot and the world's greatest jerk if he went accusing every young girl he saw. Just when he was thinking to drop the case a tall bulky man with pale-blond hair under a bandana approached, clapping his shoulder. "Hey! You must be one of the new kids. Welcome! Sorry to hear that a rock was thrown, but returning with violence is no way to handle this situation, 'kay?" The dark-haired teen's eyes narrowed as he jerked his shoulder away violently from Snow. "I wasn't really going to attack her. We were handling this just fine on our own. We don't need your help." Snow's blue gaze held Jade's briefly before turning to steal a glance from Eraqus. He nodded to the teen, trusting Acta's older brother and figuring that he would diplomatically resolve this. "Okay, just checkin'. If you need anything just let us know, but please don't threaten anyone, okay? That's not how we do things." Snow backed off and disappeared, though he continued to keep Jade and Eraqus under his gaze. He didn't trust either of Xehanort's sons farther than he could throw them, and he wasn't going to believe that Jade was simply letting this case go. A look of hurt and frustration appeared on Jade's face. Here was Eraqus standing before him, probably the first in line to becoming the island's greatest hero, something that he could have been had it not been for Kurai ruining his dream. The teen shoved his hands in his pockets and shrugged, fidgeting before finally withdrawing a hand and holding it out to Eraqus. "The name's Jade," he said, trying his best to be civil. "I'm pleased to meet you. My brother here is Kurai." If he was going to live on this island he may as well make the most of it. -Fiona- Fiona winked and extended an index finger. "Ah, but you can get ice cream everywhere! The difference is that this ice cream parlor is special. It's the best in town, and it's the only place were you can buy sea-salt ice cream. Have you ever had it, Azriel?" She turned and offered Dex a smile, slipping her hand into his and starting to swing it playfully. She followed behind Azriel for a time, before he held his head, seeming almost pained. A look of concern washed over her face, wishing to reach out to their new friend but not knowing exactly what to say. Finally she decided to break the silence on their way. "I sure hope that you like it here on Fatefaire. It would be wonderful if you didn't have to leave! After ice cream we can show you some other places in town that might interest you. What kind of things do you like, Azriel? Books? Movies?" Finally the blonde paused, pointing to a small run-down building across the street. "There's the place! C'mon! I'm buying." She turned a wry grin toward Dex, poking him in the chest. "Unless, of course, you've got something to say about it!"
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted December 14, 2015 Kopiu held his brother closer to him. He had been concerned something like this would happen. But he had hoped it wouldn't... Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his hand. He pulled away abruptly, rubbing the burn. Dark energy wafted off the wound, and Kopiu glanced back to his brother. He was getting stronger, and unless he learned to control it, things could get bad quick when he got emotional like this. "It's okay Percy. I'll never let anybody hurt you okay? And Mr. Roxas here is going to help us out right? Mom used to tell us all the time how brave he was..." Kopiu said, attempting to persuade his brother into coming along. He put his arm around Percy's shoulders, and guided him along gently, following Roxas to the car, and opening the back door for his brother to get in. He looked to the older man and bowed his head, then looked to him with a smile. "Thanks Roxas, it means a lot to me that we could be so warmly welcomed... Especially with the apparent opposing viewpoints we have around here." Kopiu said, referring to the incident with the rock. He had not managed to see who it was, but the fact that it had happened was enough. Acta snorted in Lightning's face before she vanished to deal with her daughter. "Well yeah, I wouldn't wish it, but it sure would happen. Why not me to do it? I guarantee half the people in this crowd were thinking about doing the exact same thing. And I expected more out of the town to not let villains across to our home. What about the children? Why, with bad influences like these, they're all certain to turn evil!" Acta continued to say. Of course, Lightning clearly didn't care enough to deal with her. That was quite fine with her. Just gave her more time to figure out a better way to convince these villains in training that they don't belong. She glanced around to find somebody to chat with, and saw her darling brother chatting with the older brother of her previous victim. Acta walked over, and moved behind her brother, looking Jade in the eye. "Hey bro, did you need a rock for this one? I'm sure I could find another." She taunted, knowing that both Eraqus and the child of Xehanort would be very very mad at her for that comment.
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted December 14, 2015 {Eraqus} Eraqus was about to reply to Jade when Acta spoke again. For a moment, he blankly stared at Jade, then he turned on his sister. Every once of anger and hatred he felt for this situation, for having to make peace with a child of Xehanort, for having to be the responsible one, lanced out in his look at Acta. The burning look he gave her was unlike anything he had used on her before. She had gotten looks of annoyance or disappointment, but never true anger. He held her in that gaze for a moment before speaking. "Maybe you should leave." He said in a strangled tone. "Before you mess up even more." <Tell her to apologize.> The control part of his mind said. <That will help disarm the situation.> <No.> The rage answered. <She shouldn't have to apologize to anyone related to that bastard. I should have supported her. They have no place here!> Again, wisps of darkness escaped Eraqus's clinched fists. "And what have you two been getting into?" Aqua demanded, advancing on her two children. She stopped near them and crossed her arms. She gave Eraqus a lingering look, then refocused on Acta. "Let me guess, Acta." Aqua began. "You disagree with what's going on, so you decided to take matters into your own hands, right?" Eraqus stood stiff, the wisps of darkness vanishing instantly he heard his mother's voice. And when she looked at him. He had seen the scolding look, the disappointment, but there was more. He could feel it. Fear. His own mother had looked at him with fear. Kingdom Hearts, what had he done? {Val} Val's smile solidified a bit, like she wasn't really feeling it any more, but felt she had to keep it up. "That's right." She said politely, withdrawing her hand. "Your Aunt Serah is my mom. And I wouldn't be so mean about Lux. She's a good kid. Just get to know her."
cabbage5k2 8 Posted December 14, 2015 *The trio arrives at the pier, taking their time as they enjoy the beautiful ocean, Floe now cuddling into Daewoo's side while Thomas walks with his hands behind his head, still not thinking about running off... or the fact that someone may bother him about the 101 things he owes them. Instead, he notices how... tense things seem to be, and also how paradoxically relaxed things are as well. Truly nothing is new in Fatefaire, the villains probably won't change much, at least from his point of view. Already, though, most of the villains have found other people to talk to, the usual popular kids, Zephyrus, the Villier kids, etc. Thus he's late, which means, maybe, just maybe, no one will notice him and he can find Dexter in peace. Thomas moves his hands from the back of his head down to his sides, before moving his right hand into a salute across his bow, a comedic looking move, given that he's wearing a felt hat. He sways his head back and forth, looking intently throughout the crowd for Dexter, swiftly finding him, given that he's one of the few people that Thomas has any familiarity. Except... he has a crowd around him... including Zephyrus and the Villier kids, as well as a small girl tugging closely to Zephyrus that he had never seen before, and some other boys he had also never seen before. Perhaps these are the new villain kids that came today.* "Haha! There you are Dex!" *Thomas says this in a soft voice and begins to walk towards him... only to be dragged by his right ear by Floe towards the overworked, underappreciated mayor instead.* "Not today Tommie, you're going with me to help out the poor dear Moogs today. Can't stop running away from your responsibilities forever you know." "Oh come onnnnnn... man..." "Maybe next time you'll tell me where you're going before you ruin another table and fine dinner, won't you Tommie?" *Thomas quickly glances at his mother and sighs. Once again, she won this round.* "Fine fine, let us go." *Floe gives Thomas a quick smile.* "Don't worry, I'll let you run off tonight, as soon as you're done helping the mayor out." *Thomas stops for a moment, looking at his mom with a beaming smile on his face.* "Really?" *Floe nods, relaxing her hold on his ear. Daewoo chuckles at this, the carrot has been successfully placed. He stiffens his hold near immediately after this though, sensing an aura... of what kind though...?* "Hm..." *He looks in the direction of Roxas and company, paying particular attention to a young boy heading towards the car, being led by an older male, probably a brother or close friend, the aura seemingly flowing from him, although he couldn't specify from where it flows.* "Hm..." *Daewoo takes a step towards the car when Floe, looking back at him, coughs gently, trying to redirect his attention.* "Sorry honey, but I promised Moogs that all three of us would be here. I sadly cannot allow you to leave just yet." *Daewoo merely nods to this, looking one last time at the area before looking back at Floe, heading towards her direction.* "... fair enough..." *Floe gives Daewoo a concerned look, knowing he found something... sinister within the area, but swiftly looks back, near bumping into the now frazzled mayor. Thomas scratches the back of his head as he sees him, full knowing that... this isn't going to be fun for him; Daewoo, being fully within his own thoughts at this point, merely gives the mayor an apathetic look. Floe curtsies slightly, flustered at her lateness.* "My deepest apologies for my absence and late arrival sir, been busy finding my son." *She finishes the curtsy and now stands straight.* "I offer my help towards the request you sent us earlier yesterday, alongside that of my son and Daewoo. Is there anything you wish us to do sir?... maybe I can do this for starters... esuna." *A green glow envelops the mayor, curing him of his newfound cold.*
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 14, 2015 -Lux- She blushed as Zeph was all chipper and happy to watch her. Lux's thin arms hugged a bit tighter. "...Thank you, Zeph..." -Jack- He sighed softly. "I see." He then turned his back to Val, looking at the car. "Doesn't matter if she is good. She's the favorite." And so, he walked away.
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) (The mayor didn't have a cold. o.o he was just having a fit.) The mayor was absolutely fuming at how no one seemed to be listening to him, but thankfully Aqua and Snow had come. The children already began to go into the cars except for a few, but that was okay. Honestly he'd led Aqua handle her kids. Suddenly, he noticed Thomas and his parents approach him. Floe casted Esuna on him, to which the Mayor sighed. His fit has died down. "Oh, thank you for coming kupo, even though over half of the people here didn't come even though I told them to." He said, his nose wiggling and his red ball bobbing around as he talked. "The kids are going to the car, so I guess you can help disperse the crowd kupo." Roxas couldn't help but smile when Lightning began to talk to him... But she then redirected her attention to Zeph. "I-I'll protect your daughter too." Roxas said. He... Had mixed feelings about Lightning for being with his ex wife and all, but Roxas still respected her. Especially because she was an amazing step mom to Dexter. Roxas had to be thankful for that. He just felt that Lightning thought him to be a lamer or something. "I'm gonna make pot roast for her too..." Suddenly, Vanitas opened his mouth again. Roxas growled as Vanitas continued to sorta antagonize him. "I'm not being nice to you because I pity your daughter. I'm being nice to you because I'm not an asshole-" Roxas was about to continue by saying 'like you' but he stopped himself. "...And your daughter is my niece. So the least you could do is not be such a prick. Just to remind you, my son is your nephew." Before Roxas could continue, Vanitas left. Roxas huffed and looked to Kopiu and his younger brother Percy... Who was shaking in his shoes. Roxas rubbed the back of his head as he watched Kopiu comfort his brother. "...Your mother said I was brave?" Roxas asked. Naminé talked about him? He escorted Naminé's children as well as Zephyrus and Luxanna to the car. Roxas opened the door for the girls while Kopiu opened the door for his brother. He couldn't help but notice a blackish burn on Kopiu's hand, but didn't want to say anything. When Kopiu thanked Roxas, Roxas couldn't help but smile. He thought about the conversation Kopiu had with Percy to realize what their names were. "Kopi... And Percy right? No problem. We were close friends, your mother and I. If you need anything, come to me. That goes for for little brother and you too sweetie." He said, leaning to the side to smile at Vita from the opened door. "It's gonna be a few minutes until we get to the school, so hold on tight." Roxas went around to the drivers seat. It wasn't a huge car, but luckily it was just enough seats for everyone. "Sorry if it's a little cramped, guys." Percy pulled his hand away quickly in fear after he realized that be burned his brother. Just as quickly Percy stuck his hands in his pockets, hoping no one noticed. Kopiu put his hands on Percy's shoulders and Percy sighed softly. Kopiu's words at least calmed Percy down, and the darkness went away. "Okay..." Percy said, walking along with his brother and hopping into the car. He sat in the middle in the back, frowning as he had to sit next to another person other than his brother. Dexter meanwhile, chuckled as he walked along with Azrael and Fiona. He couldn't help but blush when Fiona held hands with him. "It's okay if you're on edge. I'd be too. Just ignore those guys and hang with us." Suddenly, Kurai approached them, and Dexter raised an eyebrow. He didn't notice the boy earlier. Maleficent and Xehanort... He heard a lot of stories about them. Not from Roxas, but from the others. "My name's Dexter. My parents are Roxas and Xion of Organization XIII. This is Fiona and Azrael, but you probably already know Azriel." Dexter listened to Fiona's words, and couldn't help but hear his stomach growl upon the mentioning of sea-salt ice cream. Dexter was practically addicted to it. By the time they got to the ice cream place, Dexter already had a craving for it. "Fiona's right. Sea salt ice cream is the best-" Dexter frowned as Fiona suggested that she'd buy it. His face turned a tiny bit red when she poked his chest. "Hey! I do have something to say about it! Im gonna buy it. Put your munny away." Dexter exclaimed with the same huff Roxas always makes. He already took his black and blue checkered wallet. "Too late." (It legit took me like two hours to make this post omg. Btw. Roxas car is a regular car but with six seats. Three in the back and three in the front. The extra seat in the front is an optional seat if you fold the arm rest thingy back. My dad's car is like that but it's pretty weird. Still, let him prowl the night, he can clean the dishes when he gets home..." *Thomas, to his credit, already begins to head into the crowd, looking back at his parents for a brief moment.* "Ipromisetobebacktomorrowmorningbeforeschool, andpossiblyearlierthanthat. Iwon'tcausetoomuchtrouble,but... yeah, I'll try to be good. Love ya mom, dad, and see youlater!" *Thomas hastily waves as he dashes off into the crowd. His mother waves back gallantly as Daewoo merely nods before turning towards his wife.* "I'm worried..." *Floe places her hand back onto her side as she turns to Daewoo.* "About what...?" "I need to ask the mayor something..." "About what...?" *Daewoo turns back to the mayor, and lowers his cap back downward. Floe merely shakes her head as she clasps her hands into soft fists, not tightening them.* "Would you happen to know if Vincent's in town currently, or Riku, or even Sora for that matter...?" Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 15, 2015 Luxanna got in with Zeph, pressing close out of nervousness. She didn't know these people...she wasn't sure about them. Lightning then appeared behind Roxas. "Roxas. I didn't ask because I know you don't need to be." She rubbed her head. "Also, before my running around ensuring the world doesn't crumble..." she leaned in. "I'm planning on giving my car to Lux when school starts back up...I want your blessing...since I'd believe that Dex would like to hang out with her a bit more. Oh. And if you okay it Xion will let me do it...she's done very well and I want to reward her...and apologize for not being around as much as I wish I could." Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 15, 2015 -Jade- The raven-haired teen looked as though he were about to lunge directly at Acta with the glare he shot in her direction. "So you're the menace that's behind all of this!" Thankfully, and much to his surprise, her brother forced her to back down, and even her mother came over to address her: a tall woman with dusty-blue hair. Immediately he recognized her, and felt his face go hot. Now he understood why the young imp had such a problem with them; his father gravely harmed her parents. Jade felt like punching something, but didn't desire to make a scene. Why did his father have to always ruin everything. Now he was even more determined to put on his best behavior and prove that he wasn't his father. Finally the teen cleared his throat, eyeing Aqua sheepishly. "She assaulted my brother with a rock and insulted us with names. But you, little one"--he shot Acta a cold, murderous look that could freeze water in July--"just because you have qualms with my father doesn't mean you need to take it out on us. Due punishment where it is do, you understand? You are ignorant and so I will let this slide, but continue to harass me or my brother and soon your problem with my father will become my problem, too. And you don't want that." His gaze slipped away, wondering where Kurai had disappeared off to. He didn't notice him leave, though he figured that he was probably acclimating or getting some food. -Fiona- "Aww, no!" The blonde pouted, clenching her fists and hopping in place. "Dex, you cheater pants! You were probably carrying your wallet in your hand this entire time!" She then turned, realizing that a boy with silver hair had approached them. "Oh, hello," said Fiona, tilting her head slightly. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you approach and didn't realize you were talking to us. My name's Fiona, the daughter of Snow Villiers"--she extended her arms sardonically before punching a hand into her open palm--"you know, the 'hero' who's too big for his britches." Bouncing ahead, Fiona opened the door and held it for the boys to enter, contrary to traditionally. "After you, good sirs!" (Does anyone else feel like Fiona, Dexter, and Azriel are starting to seem a little like Roxas, Axel, and Xion? I thought that was cute! Moving on, I didn't want to post much for Fiona since I'm not wanting to jump ahead of Oblivion. Also, no worries about haunt! It's actually somewhat of an archaic phrase than anything, so if anything I'm the one who's not hip with the times. : P) -Snow- Things did seem to be simmering down with the Xehanort boy, especially after Aqua came in to intervene. A small grin tugged at the edges of his hollow cheeks, before turning to make an announcement to the group. He strolled over to the mayor's stand and seized a megaphone, hoping to catch at least a few people's attention. "Hey, everyone! Can I nab your attention for one small moment, please?" At least some people fell silent as his voice boomed overhead, which seemed to be a good sign. He decided he'd better continue quickly before he lost all possible attention. "Thank you. Now, I don't think I've probably introduced myself. Call me Snow, and no--that's not short for snowcone or snowman. Anyhow, as volunteer I'm going to be escorting some of these new whippersnappers to the school and dorms where you'll be staying. Anyone who needs a ride please raise your hand and I'm gonna come find you." He watched the crowd intently, waiting to see who else would need to be escorted to their new home. Stardustblade358 806 Posted December 16, 2015 Ventus watched his child and the rest walk to the car that would be leading them to their residences and show them where they would be attending. Yet part of him, deep down, even as good as he wanted to be and was, he didn't trust them. Any of them. He knew he had to set an example. But he didn't like the idea. Vanitas and the others gave them hell. What if their children ended up giving hell to their own generation? Once Zeph got home he would need to have a chat with her about it. He walked over by the major. "I hope you know what you are doing, sir." Ventus said. Zeph sat down with Lux inside the car. On tone very back seats two of the children were already there; Jack and Vita. She instantly recognized Vita as Vanitas' kid since it wasn't hard to tell apart from it. She turned around in her seat. "Hey we get to ride together!" Zeph chimed. "Er yes." Vita said smiling slightly.
Oblivion 22 162 Posted December 16, 2015 Azriel followed Dexter and Fiona to the ice cream shop. Since leaving the docks, everything had become much quieter, largely due the fact that half the town was probably still standing around at the boat. The peace and quiet were things that Azriel liked the sound of, despite the fact that he was still striving for more power. It was also fun for the blue haired teen to watch his new acquaintances flirt with each other endlessly as they argued over who would pay for the ice cream. Keeping quiet, Azriel simply followed as he looked down in thought. Was this what it was like to have friends? He was unsure as he'd never had any before. But, if this was what it would be like, then it wouldn't be so bad to hang out everyday the boy thought. However, like the rest of his thoughts, they always took down turn. If he wasn't open enough, would they think he was being conceited? If he didn't empathise enough, would he be thought of as someone who didn't care about those around him? While these ideas birthed from Azriel's mind, he was always sure to blame it all on his Grimoire. The dark source of his own magic had seemed to develop a mind of its own over the past couple of years and Azriel would blame it on anything bad that would happen to him. Even if the Grimoire hadn't thought up the pessimistic idea, Azriel would still blame it ruthlessly. Noticing that Fiona was holding the door open for himself and Dexter, Azriel continued into the shop and looked around while making sure to thank Fiona briefly at the same time. On their way over, Azriel had heard them mention something about Sea-Salt ice cream. This was a flavour he'd only heard stories about, not even knowing if it was actually real. "I do not know if they made sea-salt ice cream over on the Forgotten Isles. My father... He didn't like it when I swayed from the diet he set for me. So, this will be my first time trying it." Placing his bags down on the ground next to him, Azriel then leaned back against a wall and awaited one of the two of his new "friends" to bring him an ice cream. Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 17, 2015 Roxas was just about to get in his car with the door wide opened until Lightning approached him. He wasn't expecting her to speak to him, especially about such a thing. The corners of Roxas' lips turned upwards. "Of coarse you have my blessing." Roxas said with a friendly chuckle. "I'd do the same with Dexter... But he doesn't even know how to drive at all yet because every time I try to teach him he never listens to me and always puts up a huge fuss... Could you or... Xion maybe try to teach him. I only ever see him behaves when he's with you guys." He reached into his pocket, and grabbed his wallet. Roxas grabbed enough munny to equal forty dollars, and have it to Lightning. "Get her something nice for me will ya? She's come a long way... And she really deserves it. Dex can hang out with her as much as she likes." Roxas just thought he should get something for Vita as a gift to welcome her. When Lightning mentioned not being around, Roxas couldn't help but sigh. "...She really depends on you. Dex too. He thinks you're a really cool step mom. He wants to see you more often but when he visits his mother you're not there. I know it's rough with that stupid Moogle for a mayor." Meanwhile the mayor raised an invisible eyebrow at Floe's strange question. "I don't know about Riku or Vincent... I haven't seen them around but Sora is here kupo. He picked up his evil delinquent child earlier kupo." He heard someone else approach, and turned around to see Ventus. The mayor crossed his arms and nodded proudly. "The mayor always knows what he is doing, kupo! You need not to worry!" Dexter couldn't help but chuckle as Fiona poured and fussed. It deeply amused him when she did that. It was rather cute too. She looked like a pissed off little kitty cat. "What do you mean? It was in my pocket this whole time! I just took out first because you're sooooo slowwww." He said with a grin, before Fiona went and opened the door. Dexter's grin went away and he huffed before walking in. "It's ladies first..." He said with about of his own. That pout instantly went away as he saw all the wonderful ice cream. Despite it being a rather run down little shop, the inside was very nice and clean. It was like a secret ice cream parlor. The floor was red and white tiles, and there was a stripe of black and white checkers along the middle of the walls. It looked very similar to a diner. Dexter ran right up to the counter and asked for four Sea Salt ice cream bars. "Four of the usual please!" The worker, an elderly woman smiled and went to retrieve the ice cream bars. "Coming right up!" Dexter turned around and looked to Azriel. "Diet schmiet Az. We're going to show you what it's like to dine like a winner!" With that, he raised his fist in the air. "Sea salt ice cream is the best!" (I did four because I don't know if Kurai went with them) (I also think it's very cute that Dexter, Azriel and Fiona are like Roxas, Axel and Xion. I totally support this~)
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted December 18, 2015 "Dex!" A light and cheery voice came from elsewhere in the Ice Cream Parlor. Ember lunged out of nowhere, practically tackling the poor son of Roxas in a hug. Somrene scoffed from the booth that Ember had leaped out of. He took another bite of his ice cream, smiling and nodding at the three who had entered. Ember removed herself from Dexter. She smiled broadly towards Fiona. "And Fi!" The youthful ninja continued to exclaim. Her gaze shifted to the remaining member of the party that she had attacked. "And who are you? I've never seen you around bef..." Her eyes lit up and she shot her eyes towards her brother. "Som! He's from..." She didn't have to finish. "Yeah. The Isles." Somrene nodded. "We forgot that was today... Else we would have been at the pier." The Darkling said, sounding apologetic. Ember looked back to Azriel, and stuck her hand out, in a gesture clearing expecting him to shake. "Hi! My name's Ember Valentine, my gloomy twin over there is Somrene Valentine. We're the children of Yuffie and Vincent! Who are you? It's great to meet somebody new!" She said excitedly. Acta looked to Eraqus, her eyes seeming to know what he really wanted. She had known her brother for long enough that she could tell that he was struggling to keep things under lock and key. But rather than antagonize the situation further, she nodded. "If you say so bro." She said with a shrug, and turned, about to walk off and escape the scene of the crime when she heard a voice behind her... Damn. The troublemaker turned back to see her mother approaching. She tried to give an innocent smile, but that idiot child of Xehanort had to ruin it. "If no one else will handle it, won't I have to take it into my own hands? Isn't taking the initiative a good thing?" Acta said, attempting desperately to climb out of the hole her actions had put her in without taking them back. She glanced to Jade, and gave him a sickly sweet smile. "You know how I feel. I'll try my best to keep away from you from now one." She promised. But something about her expression betrayed her true intentions.
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 18, 2015 Lux looked back, and, once she caught sight of Jack, she whimpered and hid her face against Zeph again. She didn't want him to look at her...she didn't want to be in the car with them. Nothing against Vita...but she didn't like Jack. Something about him...it...it really rubbed her the wrong way. Madoka made sure everyone was on their way, then turned to look for...nevermind. She stepped closer and leaned on Val, comically. "So, hero girl. Whats up?" Madoka had nothing against the children of Serah or the son of Roxas...no, her problem was with Lux and her scandalous birth, and that alone. At least the Villiers had the decency to do it the old fashion way. "Saw how I drenched the Mayor with Meka?" She smirked. "Was a great shot." Jack said nothing...he only smirked. Oblivion 22 162 Posted December 18, 2015 As Azriel was resting back against the wall, Dexter went ahead and bought the ice cream bars that he had mentioned. Looking between Dex and Fiona, Azriel slowly started to feel welcome in Fatefaire. That was when everyone was suddenly interrupted by a duo of black haired teens with one of them tackling Dexter to the ground. Azriel was somewhat off guard with this outlandish behaviour and even his facial expression, which usually rested on default mode, was now filled with an expression of confusion and general dumbfoundedness. The girl who had "attacked" Dexter and held her out welcomingly introduced herself as Ember. With the ice cream he'd received from Dex in one hand, Azriel shook Ember's hand with his spare while trying to regain his composure. "My name is Azriel Nyx. Nice to meet you." Azriel's gaze then drifted over to Somrene, Ember's "gloomy" twin. While he did appear to be much more reserved than Ember, Azriel felt that there was something ominous about him that reminded the azure haired teen of himself. "Darkness..." Not even a whisper, Azriel muttered to himself as he locked eyes with Somrene. Realising that he was being weird, he quickly turned his attention away from the male Valentine and redirected his gaze to Ember. "Dexter and Fiona agreed to show me around the town. I decided it would be best to accompany them in order to avoid the larger crowds of students that were being swept up together back at the pier." Biting into his ice cream, the boy stopped for a few seconds and stared at the bar of blue ice. His voice remained as monotonous as a robot's but at least he began to look like he was enjoying himself, even if only a little. "... It tastes good..." rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted December 19, 2015 {Eraqus} Eraqus's eyes flared with his anger again with Jade's parting words, but only for an instant. He was still somewhat shaken from the look his mother had given him. At least Acta had tried to walk away. She could be a royal pain at times, but did have some sense. He just hoped she wouldn't hold defending Xehanort's son against him. He closed his eyes as Acta spoke again. Why did she always dig herself deeper in trouble? "We will have to discuss the application of your 'initiative' later." Aqua said, narrowing her eyes at her daughter. "And I will hold you to your word about keeping away from Jade. I will be teaching, and will be on hand if you act up." "Maybe it would be best if Acta and I headed home?" Eraqus suggested. "Dad should be able to explain somethings to Acta." Aqua gave Eraqus a quick look, one marked by a bit of shock. There was a lot she wanted to say to her kids, but her position prevented her from saying what she was feeling. Terra, on the other hand... "Very well." She said, somewhat hesitantly. "Acta, your father will have a talk with you about your...actions. Go with your brother." Aqua turned and walked over to see to the transportation of the new arrivals. "Your actions were misplaced." Eraqus said softly. "But not necessarily your sentiment." He started walking towards home. "If you want to do real good, follow me." {Val} Val looked sourly after Jack as he walked away. "I'm gonna have to love and tolerate the crap out of you, huh?" She said under her breath. Madoka's arrival at least gave her something else to focus on. "Nah." Val answered. "Too busy with other branches of the family." She sighed, then looked at the mechs girl. "So, what do you think of our new school mates?"
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 19, 2015 Roxas sighed softly as he looked at Lightning for a while. He really didn't know what to say, especially about Dexter and Luxanne. "...I have an idea. Maybe you could take Dexter out sometime? And if you and Xion are okay with it I can take out Luxanne too. I could take her to see a movie or something. It could be like a little step parents night out or something. I want to be there for her but I don't... Think she likes me that much." He looked down at the drivers seat that he half entered. "Anyway, think about it. Let me know what you want to do. I think it could do them both good." With that, he got in the car and closed the door. He rolled down the window to give Lightning a final farewell. From the rear view mirror, Roxas noticed Jack's grin and Lux's reaction. Roxas was going to say something to Jack, but decided it was best not to... For now. Right now, Roxas decided to keep an eye on the boy. "Next stop, the school." Roxas looked back to the pier. "That is, if Snow and everyone could hurry it up to get everyone else in the other cars..." Dexter meanwhile, was just about to enjoy some ice cream with his new friends until he was suddenly tackled to the ground by a unknown assailant. "Oof!" Upon looking at who tackled him, Dexter realized it wasn't an assailant at all; it was Ember. Dexter sat up and rubbed his head, looking up to the newcomer. "Hey Ember... Nice to see you too. Next time please don't tackle me like a football player." He said with a chuckle as he stood up, and waved to Somrene after dusting himself off. "Hey! How's it going? I didn't expect to see you guys here." Dexter looked back, and noticed that Azriel did in fact taste the ice cream. And he did in fact, enjoy it. "What did I tell you? Sea salt ice cream is the best!" Dexter said with a smile.
Azure Flame 670 Posted December 19, 2015 Kurai followed along with Dexter, Fiona, and Azriel, not really saying much, as he really didn't know them all that well. When they first introduced themselves, he replied with "While Azriel and I both lived on the Forgotten Isles, we never really hung out, so I don't know him that well." When they reached the ice cream shop, he got one as well and took a bite. "It is pretty good, salty but sweet at the same time." However, when Ember tackled Dexter, Kurai dropped his ice cream and drew his Keyblade, ready to take on the assailant, only to find out it was actually just a friend of Dexter's, and dismissed the weapon. "My name is Kurai, and I'm the son of Master Xehanort and Maleficent.
