(A little mood music never hurts...)

Twilight Town, a small town forever trapped in the bridged between Day and Dusk, and where our story begins.

An orange-haired boy, none older than seventeen, stood at the candy shop in the Tram Common shopping district, a kindly old lady and her cat ran the store with a certain tenderness that could not be ignored. She treated every confection like a glass that a gentle breeze would shatter, placing them carefully into the bag for this young man. His fiery orange hair and cocky grin made his blue/green eyes all the more not icicle as one looked him up and down. His hair, quite oddly, was a sort of spiky, messy froe that was about medium length for a boy, and his clothing consisting of black, white, and orange with red accentings to them. His pants, a long set of cargo pants with plenty of storage and his shirt, a red crimson color, almost too dark to differentiateit from pure black.

On top, he had a short vest/waistcoat style shirt that sat over some straps, forming an X over his shirt. His waistcoat had a white hood with black accents.

Once his package was completely tidy and set, he walked away from the stand and awaited the Tram so it could pick him up and take him to his street.

Now of course, he could always walk or use his Keyblade or his skills in both darkness and light to shine through and take him home, but sometimes the simple things in life are the most enjoyable.

(Ah yes, that really sets the mood~)

Eva was what anyone would consider to be a suspicious character. She wore a cloak, it wasn't surprising that people confused her for someone from the Organization. No, she wasn't a nobody and tried her best to avoid the group. She hated the man that ran the group along with a good chunk of the members, all the Xehanorts. They were all equally bad, the original Xehanort had practically ruined her life. Thanks to the old man, she ended up blind.

She never talked about why she was blind, if anything she tried not making obvious, and it seemed to work but people did notice the fact she always seemed lost. She wasn't lost, she knew Twilight Town like the back of her hand, she just took a moment to process things like this.

Speaking of seeming lost, she was slowly making her way to the tram, using the sounds and scents around her, occasionally reaching out to touch something to find a land mark until she found her location and took a seat on the first bench she could find. She made sure her hood was on correctly and that the cloak covered her completely, she wasn't trying to hide anything, expect if you count herself. She didn't wear anything strange, or atleast she didn't think she did but it could add to her suspicious look seeing as he clothes did seem a bit torn around the edges and her arms were wrapped up to cover her scars. She even wore an arm brace on her left arm since that joint wasn't the best at this point.

Scars were something her body was full of. No, she didn't go around picking fights but she did have a history of fighting. The one who taught her and trained her was a harsh man so scars were only to be expected. She was glad she couldn't see them, she remembers how she got ever single scar and that was something she'd rather forget.

There she was again.

That girl, cloaked in black. A normal patron of this area. She seemed almost lost around the place, no matter how many times he had seen her wander the area. He had heard that she was blind however long ago, which in a sense would be a good reason for the lack of understanding in the area. The tram had yet to come, and with a sigh, he figured no better day than ever to say hello.

He walked towards her.

No way this could go bad, right?

"Why do I always get this nervous..." Brooklyn thought, walking to the bench.

"It's just another person..." His hands tensed up. As he neared, her cloak began to look more and more familiar.

"The Organization isn't active in Twilight Town today, I did my sweeps... They always come at a certain time..." Sweat began to form on his forehead as his muscles tensed and tightened... What if it was a new one? Some other god-forsaken Nobody that they hadn't met yet? Or that was still contemplating joining, yet they gave her a robe, sure she would join them?

The boy... Brooklyn, his name... was the only one there to protect Twilight Town at the moment. Being so close to the area between light and darkness often brought them close to brushes with Nobodies and the occasional Heartless.. He had to keep calm. He had to be subtle and with nerves of steel. If she were of the organization, fighting her would be the start of a war between himself and the powers they had, and their number was much greater than his own when they worked together. His heart beat like a hummingbird's wings but with all the more strain.

His boots clacked on the ground, making a fairly obvious thud on the ground.

Clunk... Clunk...

His pulse was easily like that as if he were running a marathon. But with the coolest, calmest voice, he mustered up a few quick words.

"May I sit here."

Eva wasn't completely blind. If you asked her what the color of something was, she would have no clue but she could see light and shadow, so if she were in a pitch black room, she'd be at a disadvantage, but here, she could somewhat make out the buildings that covered the light from the never ending evening sun. She could make out someones figure, atleast she hoped it was someone. Aslong as it wasn't anyone from the organization then she was ok.

She didn't seem all that interested in the figure but did keep cautious with his nearing foot steps and she didn't tense up until he spoke to her, or atleast she guessed it was towards her. She blinked a couple times and looked at his general direction "Err...sure, go ahead" she said, offering a small smile under her hood.

When he did sit, she did seem a little tense until she decided to break the ice "I'm not from the Organization" she commented. Due to the lack of sight, she had improved hearing, since she used it alot to get around, so she had managed to over hear his speculations. Sure she had contact with them but she wasn't one of them. "You may not think much of it but they wear coats, this is a cloak. It has no sleeves...and I have a heart" she gave him a side ways glance before making sure the hood shadowed her eyes

(Well, he was thinking that part, but, oh well...)

"Interesting way to start off a conversation..." Brooklyn mumbled, as that only made her seem more suspicious. He sighed, at least she wasn't attacking him. He would keep on his guard just in case, however...

"I see." He said plainly, trying to understand who this person is.

"If you're not, then... How about sharing your story with me? Everyone's got one." He said, opening the bag of candies. "And I'm not afraid to share, mind you, this bag of candy as well, I get a bag full free every week from the lady who runs the shop anyway..." He placed the bag between the two of them. It was an oddly tense mood to behold, like the air was ice and words were knives cutting it, if only barely.

(ah sorry! I'm used to thoughts being in apostrophes 'like this' or if they're in italic ;u; )

Eva hummed softly as he commented about he little starting conversation. She wasn't exactly someone who talked to others. She did occasionally talk to some of the younger kids, and by younger, she meant the people who looked like her physical age.

She blinked and raised a brow "My story?" She echoed then hummed "Well...It's kind of complicated" she muttered hesitantly. She took a deep breath then looked where she guessed he was sitting "Oh really?" She questioned and smiled "That's kind of you" she said as she patted around the area next to her, trying to figure out if what she was kind of seeing was what she wanted. when she finally touched the bag, she tentatively stuck her hand in the bag as if she were expecting something to chomp down on her hand. When she pulled out a candy, she unwrapped it and carefully popped it in her mouth "Thank you" she murmured before leaning back

"Well I guess I should start from the beginning...I was born in a small town that, by now, must be no more. Before darkness took over, my Master took me to a friend of his...His name was Master Eraqus, he had three other students; Aqua, Terra and Ventus..." She seemed to hesitate as she mentioned their names. It had been a while since the last time she told this story and it still affected her emotionally but she tried not to let it show "They were family, and the were great teachers, Ven was a good friend...Then I became greedy for power and met this guy named Vanitas...along with his master..." she took a deep breath "Master Xehanort. They taught me a lot...maybe even more than Aqua and Terra did...I fell into darkness and pretty much ended up betraying my friends, I lost them...Aqua is who knows where, Terra's somewhere with Xehanort controlling him and Ven...he's in a eternal sleep...locked safely in a castle where no one would get to him and cause him any harm...and I promised to care for him" her breath hitched "But look where I'm at now" she murmured. Damn her emotions, if she kept going, she'd end up crying but she always felt better after telling her story "W-wait, hold on, give me a moment" she muttered

(I write in more traditional English, where the typeface isn't normally changed save to put extreme emphasis on something, pollogies)

As... outlandish as her story was, she said it with an odd sincerity, one that was had to mistake as anything other than the truth. Brooklyn placed his hand on her back in an attempt to comfort her, it seemes this "Xehanort" character played a role in her life very deeply.

"Don't you worry about that. It sounds like you had a run-in with some very bad events, however, I might be able to help. We can't fix the past, we can only make the future what we desire." With this statement, he reached his other hand out front of him, and focused for a moment, and called forth Raven's Wing, his Keyblade of choice for the period of time.

It was built like a longsword, with the "teeth" being along the blade, rather than as a separate entity. The guard and pommel together almost seemed to resemble a crow in flight, and the blade in the way it flared out, like it's tailfeathers.

"I'm not sure of how much you know about the Keyblade, but it's quite the tool for getting things like this done. Besides, it seems that since you know of the Organization, you might be able to help me on my quest. So! How about we work together?" He asked. He didn't want to seem like he was intruding, but such a story of injustice made him feel like he had to help he right wrongs.

(It's ok! I'll make sure to pay more attention to when your character is directly talking to mine and when they aren't)

Eva couldn't help but stiffen up. It's been years since she'd felt or experienced someone being kind to her. Much less a stranger. The last person to try and comfort her was a year or so ago but he didn't feel like a stranger. He felt rather familiar.

She weakly smiled "That's not even the worst part of my story but...I'll leave that for another day" she said then hummed, he was right, the past is in the past, all that she could change was her future. She could hear the small swish sound of the keyblade appearing in his hand. She raised a brow

She smiled at the mention of the keyblade. She finally stook out her right hand. She wore fingerless gloves along with white gauze all around her arm. An arm brace was also there, to help with her overused joint. She focused the energy in the palm of her hand and gripped the hilt of the blade when it finally appeared. It was a blade called "The End of Pain" a blade she got back when she first fell into darkness seeing as her old blade,Starlight, didn't fit what she was "I do know quite a bit about the keyblade...and more than I would like about the Organization" she hummed "Well...if you're up for whatever dangers I could put you through then I won't say no to your offer)

"Danger isn't a problem. You know the hole curse of the Keyblade, Heartless will chase those who wield the Key, chaos will chase their heels." He said, with a slight, cocky smile."I'm not afraid of the Dark, so, where do we start?""Here, I will help your search." a voice echoed from behind the two of them.Brooklyn's body instinctively grabbed the person he was talking to and pulled her off of the bench and away from where the voice was, turning his body towards the source, he cast Reflecega on the two of them as two cards flew at them, exploding on impact."Damn, watch your back!"

Eva snorted then chuckled, nodding "I may not look like it but I've had this blade over 20 years. I know the hardships that come with it" she smiled. She looked like she was roughly 15 or 16 but she knew she was older thab that

She raised a brow then hummed "Well..."she stopped when she heard the voice behind them and she automatically tensed up, grip tightening on the hilt of her blade.

She was grateful that he pulled her to safety, no matter how good she was at fighting even if she was blind, she probably wouldn't have been able to tell what was going on. She noticed the flash. She didn't hear a weapon go off. She had a idea of who this could be and if it was, she was at a disadvantage, she couldn't hear his weapon, they were cards

She nodded and placed her blade infront of herself defensively "Sorry kid, you're gonna have to be my eyes this time around" she shouted

"Got you, after this I have an idea I want to try, but for now stay to my back."Brooklyn kept his eyes peeled, looking around for any sign of the next attack, however, it was rather obvious when it came: a horde of Nobody, all transporting in at once. Mostly the Gambler variety."We're surrounded, stay sharp!" He said to his teammate, as Luxord's voice echoed a laugh. "Just testing your reactions, the game is never fun without a little excitement." A low chuckle hummed out as Luxord's voice faded away. With him gone, the Gambler Nobodies made their move, firing off a circle of cards around them as some of the other Nobodies, like a few Samurai, charged in, blades ready to cut the less suspecting. (Sorry for the shorter post, today drained all my creativity away really quickly xD)

Eva nodded "Sounds good, I'll try my best to not get in the way" she said, carefully listening and looking around for any strange shadows or even light.

She tensed up,surrounded? Great. Just what they needed. She took a look around, by the shapes of it, their opponents were Gambler and Samurai Nobodies. Nothing too bad. Sure they were tedious and took long to kill but nothing she couldn't avoid, except maybe the Gamblers. Their cards were her worst enemies.

Her eyes narrowed "Luxord...I thought so" she muttered as she put up her blade, defending herself from the figure of a Samurai infront of her and the hit it swung down on her. She made sure to push back against the nobody,of course it didn't seem to affect he much before she swung at it,trying to listening and somewhat look at her surroundings. If they were surrounded, she couldn't risk doing anything stupid or even letting her guard down. What she couldn't guard herself from was the attacks the Gamblers sent out but she did her best. She was going to find a way to fight against this weapon. There must be someway she could tell. The cars were thing and not the easiest to spot but may be if she concentrated?

(It's fine ^^)
