Kaiso 2,764 Posted August 26, 2010 Kaiso thinks she does not get it. At all. But it looks like that annoying text filler you can put in on InDesign that I used often in Desktop Publishing and Magazine... /shot
Amon 4,279 Posted August 26, 2010 If I chanted this out loud something would probably appear out of nowhere and maul me. Or as a certain admiral puts it, "IT'S A TRAP!" JK its probably nothing. Or is it? Then again it couldn't, but it may. See now I'm not making any sense.
Ivan 969 Posted August 26, 2010 I'm guessing that's Latin, because it reminds me of the horrors which lie inside that old text book *shudder*. I find it sad that I had to google Lorem Ipsum in order to translate it, even after two years of learning the effing language. Then again I don't remember anything from that class other than "Carpe diem". I'm guessing this is the translation? I might be wrong (I found it on wiki so who knows). Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure? Aaron 579 Posted August 27, 2010 Yes its latin. Kaiso is right. Its used as "filler" text, when designing things such as brochures and websites in order to not distract the viewer from the overall design of the project. Do i get cookies?
