Do you prefer to play competitive or cooperative multiplayer?

I'm going to pick competitive because it's more fun fighting the others than trying to work together.

Neither, generally. Not a big multiplayer guy. Occasionally with friends can be fun, but even then, everybody gets their panties in a twist about something or other. Not worth the hassle.

Honestly, in my opinion, I love both kinds of multiplayer!  On the cooperative side, I love teaming up with other players in Dark Souls to clear out dungeons!  Oh, but when a player invades and tries to kill me...it's on!  That's when I get competitive! Lol. xD  I also love duking it out against other players in games such as Smash Bros and Call Of Duty: Black Ops! :3

Okay, I'm 99% sure we got a similar question a while back.

Eh, neither, because I often end up with team members who don't know what they're doing. Nope, to competitive.

Whenever I compete against someone I'm usually the one who ends up losing so I find co-op to be a lot more fun.

I like both but I prefer competitive multiplayer, all my favorite multiplayer games I play them to compete against my friends or family, like Smash bros,Soul Calibur,Mario Kart,Pokemon, etc. Most coop games I play seem to be more enjoyable on single player and we rarely do coop in Smash bros even if we can.

Some games are more enjoyable in coop though like The Zelda Four Swords games or Castlevania Harmony of Despair.

I play both and i also enjoy both styles alot. I play games like phantasy star online 2 (action mmorpg) and smash bros wii u, street fighter etc etc with my friends o/ In smash we like to do random team matches against each other with 4-8 people depending on how many are present at the time.  Also PSO2 is only a co-op game so you cant fight each other anyway. I might slightly favor co-op more because i usually kick most of my friends asses in any pvp games we play D:

Well with my friends, co-operative, mainly cause unless it's like Trine or Mario it's highly likely that I'm underskilled and would just lose.  Like me and Conaill don't try to take each other out on Mario Kart 8 online, Smash, Rocket League etc for example.  In all situations though I am technically being competitive, but against someone I don't know.

Though I do love Splatoon's online battles.

Competetive. Cooperative is okay if its like a team-deathmatch style where you don't really need to work together, you just need everyone to be somewhat competent. Anything that requires actual planning and cooperation with others (Monster Hunter, MMOs), no thanks. I don't really have the desire to work with people when playing a video game, and it is just kinda boring, IMO.

I must say that, overall, I don't really do much multiplayer outside of Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Most of what I play are RPGs.
