Things someone has to explain me!

So I have a little problem. I'm a huge fan and played all the games. But I still have questions about things. Can someone explain me that time travel thing? I saw a video of +-20min on youtube but I still don't get it :s and why are xemnas and ansem back? Sora defeated the and the should've transdormed back to their human form, no? and when that happened, Xehanort came back, but did Terra too? Oor is terra still terranort and a part of the organisation? I really don't get it.

Out of all the plot points that people have defended and talked about in KH, the whole "time travel" thing is the one where everyone 

is really just lost. Ive watched multiple vids on the matter and have read forums about the time travel aspect, and I still cant get it.

Xemnas and Ansem were brought back from before their defeat through time traveling. Xehanort (bald guy) is the Xehanort of the present. No one knows what has actually happened to Terra, but Terranort (the same one that fought Aqua) will probably be part of the new Org, who's been brought from the past, but as I said, it's unknown what has happened to the Terra of the present time.

 

 

To timetravel you have to have another you at that time (example, YX can visit Xemnas, but can't visit a time where no Xehanort existed), you have to leave your body behind (I didn't understand this, because then Xemnas and Ansem wouldn't have body in KH3), you can't change what must happen, and you can't remember a thing of what you did there (actually, you probably don't remember that you were even in a different time). There may be more things, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Well, it's quite complicated and I hope i explain it corectly.

At some Point of the story, Ansem SoD got the abillity to travel trough time, but only to a moment of time where a version of himself (his heart) already existed. By doing so, he'd lost his body and only existed as an heart (guy in brown coat). He traveld back to his former younger version; Young Xehanort. Ansem thought him this abillity. So YX was able to visit future versions of himself (Xemnas, Ansem SoD, Vessels who contain Xehanorts heart) and brang them into the future. Meanwhile, Ansem stayed at Deytiny Islands and waited for the events of the original Kingdom Hearts game.

This but I'm gonna help clarify some things. Yes you need to shed your body to get this power. But Ansem SoD did this and then transferred his powers to YMX so he would not have to shed his body. The people he brought with him did not need to shed their bodies either bc of this. MX also used an inbetween world like TWTNW bc of it's special properties and allowing all these diff existences is one of them.

 

Terra's fate is indeed a deliberate mystery. I can also help explain other things as well if you have questions. Also here are some quotes from Nomura also explaining himself on this:

Just as it says in the story, to transcend time one must “first” discard their body. As a result of the actions of the Robed Figure, they all were in a state where they had gained the power to transcend time. The Robed Figure explains these facts. The thirteen were summoned at the same time, this time thanks to the Young Xehanort who borrowed that power. However, apart from Young Xehanort, that does not mean that all the members left their own time.

 

• In other words, Ansem and Xemnas were simultaneously existing in the time-space of KH3D as well as their newly recompleted human form after being destroyed?

Yes, it does turn out that way. However, as I said before, The World That Never Was–where the thirteen all met–is a special space. The mechanics behind how they were all able to exist at the same time is a mystery. From KH1 on, Ansem has returned no matter how many times he has been defeated, perhaps the same sort of thing happened.

it's easier for me to just roll with it because time travel itself is a concept that is easily understandable. the confusing part often lies in the execution of the time travel. The KH series uses a funky method. Something about leaving your body behind and only moving backwards to places you've been, you can't alter the timeline, etc etc. I still don't understand the actual means by which a person goes through time. 

So you lose your body and then suddenly you're a sentient heart that can just time travel? That sounds like a really odd side effect from losing your body but ok

Okok! I start to get it! It's super confusing! But maybe they'll explain it in KH3... but they were all reunited at the end of KH3D. It was "Scheduled". But did the organisation plan a second date? Later for KH3?

 In DDD, they all united in TWTNW to greet/welcome their 13th and final member- Sora.( that got sabotaged) MX then said when the destined time comes( in KH3) they will all come together again.
