Although it sorta makes sense as to why Christians are mad about this, it makes only little sense. If anything, the cups are plain so you can design it yourself. So you put on it what you want Christmas to be, although Christmas still represents the birth of Christ. I'm a Christian and this getting mad stuff just doesn't make any sense to me.
