Hoping worlds aren't so linear

Personally I think Twilight town would be the best example in how the maps should be played out. There are various ways t get to certain areas, and I don't mean just the tunnels.

 

 

Station Heights can be reached by either the Back Alley, Sandlot, Tram Common or Station Plaza.

 

If you're in the Tram common and need to get to the Station Plaza you would just go directly through station heights and to the plaza rather than if they cut off these paths, and made it so you had to go from tram common through the sandlot then through the back alley through station heights and then to the station.

 

Honestly though that's not really what bothers me I'm just bothered by how lifeless the worlds are.
