Kalebninja 188 Posted November 7, 2015 Is it just me or is Mickey ugly as hell in that new screenshot? He no longer looks like someone i wanna hug. 2 Kaitengiri and KHUndertaleFan25 reacted to this
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted November 7, 2015 he looks kinda like he does in Disney Infinity. I think it's the mouth. There's something about it. 3 Henne, Moochieh32 and lea12345 reacted to this

gingienator 278 Posted November 7, 2015 Give Square a break The game is still "Now in Development" His model might look better by the time the game is out I mean they fixed Sora's face since people said he looked weird in the E3 trailer. 11 ShatteredGem, Aile, Handsome_the_Wise and 8 others reacted to this
Forever 3,550 Posted November 7, 2015 To be honest, all the models in that shot look a bit unfinished. Their bodies look good, yet plastic and still, like they haven't had much detail put into them yet....Just look at the Mickey model's texture compared to that of..hmm....Eraqus and Y. Xehanort's for example. There is a HUGE difference, and it's easy to tell which models have had more put into them. Just wait till we start getting trailers next year. None of them will be looking "weird" 1 Kaitengiri reacted to this

ShadowKeyblade 219 Posted November 7, 2015 It's all in the lighting. Sora and Goofy looked odd at some points in the E3 trailer with their coloration, too. I guess they haven't perfected the lighting yet since we've seen it a lot. The Models are actually pretty good, though. BTW, here's a comparison pic for ya 3 CriticalAssension, Henne and Green Sparrow reacted to this
PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) I like him better like that. I think he looks alright It's probably because he's not smiling that you don't want to hug him. Honestly, I don't see the similarities to Disney Infinity's version of Mickey. Edited November 7, 2015 by PrinceNoctis

BTW, here's a comparison pic for ya Riku and Kairi are definite improvements here. Just a slight bit of work needing to be done on Mickey, luckily for everyone, Square will be working on this game for some time yet, so not even this is final. KeybladeMasterBalo 504 Posted November 7, 2015 I think they look good but the lightning does seem a little bit... off. But maybe when we actually see them moving and acting we will watch them differently 1 Green Sparrow reacted to this

Shulk 8,623 Posted November 7, 2015 The entire screenshot looked really bad, honestly. Seeing people draw comparisons to Disney Infinity explains a lot, since I can't stand that game's artstyle at all. 1 Kaitengiri reacted to this
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted November 7, 2015 I think he looks just fine. Yeah, he's just not smiling. The original Mickey model has him constantly smiling, which has always been kind of weird to me. 2 -Justin- and lehahiah81 reacted to this
Noctis Caelum 2 Posted November 7, 2015 I think Disney made them change his face. I don't think Square had a choice
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) He looks fine. They might touch him up a bit, sure, but he'll look better once he starts smiling. If anything, this scene should be Yen Sid and Mickey discussing Terra, Ventus, and Aqua to Riku and Kairi (and supposedly Sora...?), so obviously this would be a sore subject with Mickey, which is why he wouldn't be smiling in this scene. It's likely that he'd look more like his usual self once he's all happy and cheery. Maybe they might touch things up a little more as they continue to develop, I do still see some room for polish on the models, as far as texturing and smaller details go (like that dang dark stripe that was on Riku's vest that's gone all of a sudden, it's bugging me to no end...). But there's still only so much a screenshot can tell us, we don't know how Mickey's new face works, how his new mouth moves. He used to be rendered in a constant smiling look, with his facial structure not changing too much whenever he talks. Maybe this new look is to allow him to show more change in expression with his face whenever he smiles or frowns and whatnot. I'll agree, he doesn't look like his cheerful huggable self in this scene, but again, this isn't exactly a cheerful scene either. If anything it would kind of be inappropriate to give him a smiling face for that moment. Edited November 7, 2015 by Hero of Light XIV
Moochieh32 676 Posted November 7, 2015 It's his mouth. He'll definitely look different in the final product. Especially in KH3 which is gonna be more further progressed. 1 lea12345 reacted to this
KH4Real 749 Posted November 7, 2015 I always hoped he would look like in the KH2 secret ending. But this one looks also nice.
- Existic - 206 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) I noticed this, as well. His cheeks are a lot higher, his nose is smaller, and his pupils seem a bit smaller too. I really hope they do something with it, or we get to see it in a different, more animated scene. I mean they fixed Sora's face since people said he looked weird in the E3 trailer. I'm extremely positive Sora's face only looked weird because of the angle and the lighting. People just weren't taking that into enough consideration, though it is possible they could of changed something. Green Sparrow 795 Posted November 7, 2015 To all the people who say that Mickey looks like his Disney Infinity form, I respectfully think you all are NUTS! DI Mickey has much more style to his look. I think they look good but the lightning does seem a little bit... off. But maybe when we actually see them moving and acting we will watch them differently My thoughts exactly! It's all in the lighting. Sora and Goofy looked odd at some points in the E3 trailer with their coloration, too. I guess they haven't perfected the lighting yet since we've seen it a lot. The Models are actually pretty good, though. BTW, here's a comparison pic for ya Thank you so much for showing the comparison pics, because now it looks like Mickey got botox so he could look good for KH3. See what happens when you take too long to make a proper sequel Nomura!?!?!?!?
