Firo_Procheniezio 71 Posted November 7, 2015 That's the point of a villain though, to be hated. Villains like Kefka, the Joker, and Sylar are all purely hated, yet that is the same reason they are enjoyable characters. Not to mention they cause genuine fear. I disagree. That is not a villain that is a "monster" a villain is someone you are supposed to be pitted against and i agree with that but that doesn't mean he cant be likeable. In fact Joker could be so much more than just a person you hate. If everything is vanilla it is stupid since i think we've all experienced a little to much of it. To have a decent villain you need a redeeming quality to make him believable thus giving a person true fear since you believe a person could actually become like that. An irredeemable "monster" is about as bland an antagonist you can get. You might as well make it completely mute and have no personality and it would still give the same effect. In fact villains (the good ones) are often proactive while heroes reactive. Heroes usually support the status quo which is in my eyes beyond stupid. For example democracy that heroes protect is just a dictatorship without voting. I actually see the villains as more positive since they bring progress regardless whether it be good or bad. Thus villains are actually more just than heroes and thus should presented as humane.

(I don't mean it as an offense or anything, I just thought it'd fit...and im reasonably drunk as of now) On a side note...I have no idea on what character to make now. They never give me that same sense of impending doom and destruction that those that you call "monsters" do. 1 Saber Lily reacted to this
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 7, 2015 Ahh, a good list. Also, I don't think I'm allowed to accept anyone. I maybe the main villain of the RP, but I haven't been given RP GM/Co-GM Permissions. You'll have to ask Rikunobody or Yuffie.I had posted in Tainted Blood earlier. My mind was stuck on that.Whoops.Anywho. Does the Arkham Knight wish to enlist the monetary venues that Athanasia controls?

Guest Posted November 7, 2015 On the whole Villain debate, I see both sides. Personally, the villain's I find the best are the ones with good intention but poor execution. They act very much as human, and they're not inherently evil, however their actions and thought process are poor and chose the wrong path. That, or more comical villains, ones that do wrong for a good reason, and have a grip on that poor reasoning, but have fun with it.

Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 8, 2015 Ohhhhh dear. That wasn't the Knight's Rooftop, per chance...? No, not your persoanl rooftop. Like, you have your massive compound. Then your sensor network. Then one of your AArooftops.I blew up an AA Position. Then ran because Zelda miscalculated the energy cycle and accidently used more power than she had originally meant. Enjoy a smoldering hulk of burnt limbs and broken electronics because a 15 year old can't set her power levels correctly yet. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 8, 2015 I've always got more tanks. She's...a special kind of evil.Always more tanks. And yes, Athanasia is. She was tortured and brainwashed into becoming almost a Nazi-level psychopath. If her own will was made of pure iron, she'd just be shooting anyone who looked at her funny. There's a reason the scrawny girl is her pet - smart thinking, tenacity, and whimsy on Athanasia's part.Really it's a flip of the coin. Next one might get thrown into the center and left to be torn apart. Never know what she'll do.She's insane. But more controlled than say, Joker.
