velvetlovetts 10 Posted October 31, 2015 Kingdom Hearts has somewhat of a complex story, and Nomura manages to make us love it by emotionally attaching us to the characters, and then pretty much whatever happens, we'll go with it! For example: in my kingdom hearts experience, roxas has left the biggest impact on me, because of how desperately he fights for his life that he's slowly being told isn't even his. He throws the keyblade in anger, yells at DiZ, and most importantly, the sora roxas fight at TWTNW. This is IMO, the most emotional battle in the series. You can tell how hard roxas fights for his life. And in the end of battle cutscene, he forgets all strategy and just relentlessly slams his keyblade into sora's until sora falls to his knees. So well done. 3 Riosephmido, nonicepifg79 and nonicepifz72 reacted to this
Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) 3,859 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) Other games do that a lot better than KH (Final Fantasy, for example), but anyway, mine is probably Xion's death; in my opinion this is the only situation that's really emotional... until Roxas quickly changed the subject to eating ice cream... So you could say it's Xion, although I actually don't like the character at all. Forever 3,550 Posted October 31, 2015 Don't really have an emotional attachment with any of the characters, but if I ever had the oppurtunity to sit down, and have a philosophical with at least one, it would be Master Xehanort. Mostly because he seems like a highly intelligent individual who values Curiosity over.....well....everything. Which is an interesting motivation. I'd love for him to elaborate more on that. 3 teh lazy prince Xylek, Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) and velvetlovetts reacted to this

Elrandir 783 Posted October 31, 2015 The different incarnations of Master Xehanort. I would like to know how that man thinks! 1 velvetlovetts reacted to this
khsg 73 Posted October 31, 2015 For me, it is Xion(because she sacrificed herself even though she was not the one to blame), Ven(because he would do anything in the name of friendship) and Aqua(because she always puts others above her own self). I know you asked for only one character, but i really can't tell which one of them has affected me the most. 1 velvetlovetts reacted to this
DoDo4869 301 Posted October 31, 2015 Definetly Roxas. Thugh he is a nobody he shows so much feelings, his anger against the organisation, the sadness of losing Xion, and the fun he das with Xion and Axel. I think Roxas has left the largest emotional impact on me, but charakters like Aqua or Xion too ^^ 1 velvetlovetts reacted to this
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted October 31, 2015 That's a tough one. I have to say Ventus, Terra, and Aqua. Yes, Roxas was an emotional character and what he endured and felt was crystal clear and can connect with you, but I think the sacrifice that Ventus, Terra, and Aqua made touches me because they put their livelihoods at stake and I feel sad for Ventus because he is merely waiting to be woken up and hasn't, angry for Terra because he fell to Master Xehanort and even when he fought back in the Final Episode, he did not overcome Xehanort, and I feel pain for Aqua because she is not that far from returning to the Realm of Light and seeing her give herself up to save Terra hurt me because it came with a cost. 2 velvetlovetts and IwasBornAsVentus reacted to this
OmegaForte 1,674 Posted October 31, 2015 Hard to say. It's between Xion and Aqua. Xion because of what she had to go through at the end, same with Aqua. 1 velvetlovetts reacted to this
Veemon 1,540 Posted October 31, 2015 Roxas, Ventus, and DATA Sora. Basically like most people have been saying: Their fates were very Sad, like in a crying way. Roxas lost Xion, then Riku ended up wrecking him. Ventus, who sacrificed himself to destroy the X-blade. And Data-Sora, who stayed positive even when he knew he was gonna get reset and forget Mickey and the others. It's like, the characters you love to bits end up having to sacrifice themselves in some way. This goes for so many games and Anime. 1 velvetlovetts reacted to this
Dave 5,715 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) Winnie the Pooh. The time we spend with him and Sora is a lesson in learning how to say goodbye, especially to a childhood friend, which can be the hardest thing in the world. After all, how does one say "Goodbye" to Pooh? Edited October 31, 2015 by Dave 1 velvetlovetts reacted to this

I've seen a lot of people say that Roxas kinda ruined the moment with the ice cream comment, I personally liked it, I just see it as symbolism of all he's come to know in his nobody non-existence, like ice cream = friendship. But I understand what you mean. Xion for me is a little further down the list for my sympathetic feelings. But I could see where she would be someone's number one. Winnie the Pooh. After all, how does one say "Goodbye" to Pooh? You're not kidding! I wouldn't personally put it as my no. 1 emotional character/ character experience but Pooh bear is sad, especially KH2. When at the end of Pooh's chapter, sora sits next to Winnie, and Pooh says "I'm trying to think of a way. To make Sora stay." Or something like that. Then Sora explains that he'll always be in his heart. So sad!! 2 Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) and Dave reacted to this

Well, you can take it the way you like, but I'm really sure that SE and Disney decided to make Roxas say that in order to decrease the sadness of that moment; KH isn't meant to be a sad game, but 358/2 Days was kind of sad and they had to use this sort of resources to make it easier to take. The ice cream comment was the most heartbreaking part of the scene for me. The line definitely sounds really silly, but I think it perfectly showcases Roxas' innocence and his intense desire to connect with others even though he doesn't quite understand how. The very definition of 'friend' he learned from Axel, someone that you share ice cream with. With whatever form of a heart he had at that point it was the only way he could begin to grasp the concept of friendship, and he held onto it with so much sincerity. That being said, while I definitely cried during that scene, I think Aqua affected me the most emotionally in the long term. The way she does whatever she thinks is truly best for her friends, even if it means making massive sacrifices. Terra and Ven never really understand just how much she cares for them and what she does for them. Calling her awful was way outta line, Ven!
