pick me an anime

Recommended Posts

http://myanimelist.net/animelist/AndyPowpreferably one I've not already watched thxalso no Boku No Picos you bakas

"Angel Beats!: 1" Good man.

Also, why is NGE on hold at episode one, but you rated it a nine?

Looks like you like action, so the Fate series might fit your liking. I think it's better to start with Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, then watch its prequel, Fate/Zero. The reason is because Fate/Zero is better in my opinion, but watching the better one first will ruin your enjoyment of the slightly worse, but still good, one.

Yeah stuff like that and Gintama confuses me because I never know where to start, and also Angel Beats is an abomination of human creativity

Digimon Adventure. It's pretty much the Underdog of Anime, since people clearly are not interested in a Digimon RP even though I think it's great. Do knock it 'til you try it. (And you have not listed it so I assume you haven't even watched it before)

By that, you mean Neon Genesis Evangelion? Just keep on watching the television series. After you finish the television series, watch End of Evangelion, the movie that is the "true" ending to the series.

Angel Beats has a bunch of things wrong with it, but I rated it a four, because of TK. And the comedy scenes were alright. The romance and drama scenes weren't as great.

I was actually referencing Fate Zero more because there are multiple series, need to get back to NGE. Decided to give Tokyo Ghoul a go then some of the suggestions I've got here

Ah, whoops. Those two I mentioned are the basis, and are generally considered the best starting points. Anything else with the Fate tag usually builds off those anime.

And yes, you should definitely watch NGE soon.

Rob has seen your list. Now let's take it a step further. Gantz, Btoom, and Alice in Borderland.

Rob also recommend the Scientific Adventure series. Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate(the best), and Robotics;Notes. That's the chronological order.

You gave Angel Beats! a 1? Oh my. That anime is loved by so many for many reasons. So many kinds of people in this world. Anyway, I'm not hear to judge opinions, here are some of my recommendations.

I'm mostly a shounen type, so I tend to watch that, if I'm not working my ridicilously long list of animes I wanna watch. So I don't know whether you will actually like what I suggest, especially since you watch more shorter ones than I do....

For the shorter ones:

as already mentioned by others, mahou shoujou madoka magika, and apparantly Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru is similiar, I'm still watching it, though I rather enjoy it.  Ummm, Black Butler? I'm not a huge fan, it shows a lot of blood, I don't know if that's reason enough to watch it.

You could give Cowboy Bebop a shot it's also not really long.

That's about it for the short ones that are on my list. I have a few longer ones that I like too:

Inuyasha, if you don't mind a love triangle that might get annoying from time to time

Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! If you don't mind an anime with a slow start, the first 20-25 episodes are more comedy than what it's supposed to be, the action kicks off after the long start. It's kinda long (203)

I don't know if you're into Cardgame animes, if you are, you can checkout Cardfight!! Vanguard, Selector Infected WIXOSS, apart from Yu-Gi.Oh!

Have fun watching ;)

I always thought it was a good plan to look at an amv or trailer of a series before going into it. anyway, here's a few i'd recommend.

K-  i swear that's what it's called

danmachi- kinda like a better version of sword art's aincrad arc

akatsuki no yona- classic adventure style anime

attack on titan- freaking awesome

magi- very good fantasy series with magic and transformations and a unique setting

steins gate- very scientific anime that can get confusing (but considering kingdom hearts you'd probably be fine)

eden of the east- fun mystery series with an amnesia character with a lot of money (dont know how to describe it)

dragon ball kai- because literally every shounen series is inspired by this

nozaki kun- fun romance comedy

there's so many more lol

It depends what you are interested in.

Are you into Horror?: Then try Kagewani or Yamishibai

Are you into Tokusatsu?: Try Saint Seiya OR Garo

Are you into Yaoi/BL?: Try Sekai Ichihatsukoi OR Junjou Romantica

Are you into epic battles with weapons and magic?: Try the 'FATE' series

Are you into Shojo?: There are too many that I watch and if I could I would recommend them all lmfao

Are you into Shonen?: Sad to say I haven't been keeping up but Naruto and One Piece is still going I think but there are many others

Other unclassed:

HAIKYUU!, YUGIOH ArcV!, Ameiro Cocoa, Shokugeki no Souma, Kuroko no basket ball...etc

I haven't seen even half of the above titles mind you, if you are interested you can look them up

Here is good resource for the newer anime thats on its way or out already

I do Kamen Rider GHOST, its not anime - but it gives me my weekly dose of high

Hunter x Hunter 2011, you will not regret watching this show. It is a masterpiece, it's not dubbed yet but the subbed is still amazing. Ask anyone who's seen it, it's incredible. It's a shounen battle anime but it's unlike Naruto, Bleach, DBZ or OP. It's far more unique. The story focuses on a boy named Gon Freecs who is searching for his father, a world famous Hunter. There are 3 other main characters too.

Yu Yu Hakusho-The animation is slightly outdated but the show is still amazing, A boy named Yusuke is hit by a car and killed, he is revived by the prince of the spirit world but now Yusuke has to be the Spirit Detective, the protector of earth, spirit world and demon world. It's a shounen battle anime too, but it's very unique.
