Inconsistent Storytelling.

Today I would like to ask of you to take a look at something.

 

Remember Kairi's grandma? The lady who looked like she could bake you 50 Shield Cookies in under 5 minutes? Do you remember the story she told? If not, here's a brief refresher.

 

 

 

Long ago, people lived in peace, bathed in the warmth of light. Everyone loved the light. Then people began to fight over it. They wanted to keep it for themselves. And darkness was born in their hearts. The darkness spread, swallowing the light and many people's hearts. It covered everything, and the world disappeared. But small fragments of light survived... in the hearts of children. With these fragments of light, children rebuilt the lost world. It's the world we live in now. But the true light sleeps deep within the darkness. That's why the worlds are still scattered, divided from each other. But someday, a door to the innermost darkness will open. And the true light will return. So listen, child. Even in the deepest darkness, there will always be a light to guide you. Believe in the light, and the darkness will never defeat you. Your heart will shine with its power and push the darkness away.

 

Now, if we look closely, within the first lines you can read that light was beginning to be fought over, war happened, a world covered by darkness, children came, rebuilt the world into worlds. They were separated, divided, etc.

 

But if we look at Kingdom Hearts "X" it obviously takes place before the keyblade war according to the KH timeline. So that means people weren't fighting over light yet... Meaning worlds weren't existent and it was just one world. But, Nourma pulled a quick "Surprise Mother Duckers" and kind of just made it so we go to Disney worlds within different timelines... And that Hercules bullshiz. But... The keyblade war hasn't happened yet. They're not supposed to be separated yet... So why are they? I suppose you could say they're just traveling through the book of prophies as a sort of portal, same with the emblem heartless being created but still, Daybreak Town is still known to be one of many different worlds. Can someone explain this to me how this works? Why the worlds are scattered, even though they shouldn't be? Maybe I'm missing something. Anyways, sorry for the long post, I just would like to leave with a more educated mind.

Also, if you made it this far, when all the worlds were one and all Disney characters were together and then they fought, could you just imagine Pooh with a keyblade beating people up? Haha.

I mean I don't really know because I am not that experienced in the Kingdom hearts lore but I could be guessing...maybe it's just an alternate universe? Like another universe with different Disney characters that also has keyblades and darkness? Just a random thought, I am probably way off though  :wacko:

Yes actually, they are. In a video theory by Soraalam, it is theorized, and makes sense to me, that the Foretellers found the darkness of the passage foretelling of the Keyblade War. They gave the power of that book to the members of the unions to go and eliminate that darkness. Notice when you choose a world in KHX that it is in a book? Everything we see in the book has yet to exist. It is completely different than the real world of Daybreak Town.

The worlds are unstuck in time. They can exist at any point in history because they do not rely on the flow of time in the realm of light, but rather their own self-contained timelines.

 

None of the above is true, but it's just as reliable as anything anyone else could have told you because everything in the Kingdom Hearts storyline is built upon nonsensical bull-crap.

This sums it up pretty nicely. In Chi the world is far to big for the players to go around and collect the light. To compensate the Foretellers used the Book of Prophecy to summon illusions of the worlds from the future. Because the future world is divided into multiple smaller worlds it's much easier to collect the light that they needed.

if there is an inconsistency it's probably because Nomura didn't think he'd be incorporating that short story into a browser game and so things had to change a bit.
