60FPS motion sickness?

Recommended Posts

Ever since I started to see some 60FPS videos and some of my friend's recordings.. I started to get headaches and felt rather dizzy.

I've never played a game in 60FPS, and I don't know how can people stand it. It feels.. unreal.. and it makes me feel worse than traveling on a boat.

Why does this happen' to me? Some of my friends can't stand 30FPS... 60fps is disorientating to me..

I did some search but all I found were rage threads with peopel calling others "peasents" and laughing at their faces.

Did it have motion blur? If not, not sure how you could get motion sickness from it.

I've seen several games. And Mass Effect mostly.

It just feels weird. My head is dizzy and my eyes hurt.

( I wear glasses btw.)

From what I can see, it might be just because the game wasn't designed around 60 FPS. I'm not sure about those other games. Any FPS games? Those are nearly always 60 FPS, can't imagine most of them giving you motion sickness.

I think the reason you have headaches is because you're not used to the 60fps. In a gameplay standpoint, it's almost always better to have more fps, because then your inputs have more precision. It's more helpful in rhythm based games or shooters.
