Could we see Multiplayer for Kingdom Hearts III at D23 Japan?

D23 is too early to see multiplayer, If its in the game it will be one of the last things that's revealed. I don't understand why people wouldnt want it, it's not like it's taking away from anyone's experience.

To clarify on all the "no's" we're seeing here so far, the answer I would give is "No, I don't think we'll see any multiplayer gameplay footage.", however I wouldn't be surprised if we got more information towards that possibility. It's not to say that we won't ever get multiplayer for KH3, it's just that it is very unlikely that we will see any footage of that at D23 this year. But I'm sure we'll get some kind of information about that, and I would love to have multiplayer in KH3, especially if it gives us the ability to play as everyone that has been playable in the series so far.

I really don't know.  Odds are that multiplayer could be shown, but odds are that it may not be so!  As long as the multiplayer doesn't take away from the story mode, I'm all up for it!  If it's like an improved version of the Mirage Arena, then hey, I'd see no harm in adding multiplayer to Kingdom Hearts III!

 

But, in my honest opinion, I just want KHIII to be a single player experience.  We could get to play as the other Guardians in the story, but not in multiplayer.  But, like I said, if multiplayer comes, I won't mind.

Honestly, Multiplayer is a guarantee to be in the game. It'll be another reason for casual fans to go and pick up the game. If Nomura thinks of something (HD remasters, Kingdom Hearts 3D port) then it happens eventually. As far as the specific's, it'll probably be like Ratchet and Clank 3's multiplayer.

I don't believe they'll show Multiplayer if they have it, for D23 still seems far too early for such a reveal. Perhaps they could make mention to the possibility of having Multiplayer in the game, but they won't/can't showcase it at this present time, to be frank.

 

I would like to see Multiplayer, along with multiple playable characters and many other things, but they can only show so much at this point in Development.

Meh, traditionalists. What can you do about that. To be fair, Multiplayer has always been an entirely separate aspect of a video game from single player. Kingdom Hearts 3 will definitely not be multiplayer as Donald and Goofy are too diverse as assist party members and they're not Keyblade Wielders.

 

There was a multiplayer like aspect in Birth by Sleep so they can learn from the mechanics of that game in regards to multiplayer.

I certainly hope that we will see some form of multiplayer, whether that be in gameplay or just in details, then I hope we hear something about it. Either way, this event is looking to please us all, but hopefully my hype doesn't increase too much.

I would say no for completing the story of Kingdom hearts because this entire franchise has been using single player and would be a bit odd if they suddenly changed it to multiplayer. But I am for a go for multiplayer for playing mini games or online like the what they did with BBS where you can play online with other people. I also found the board game in BBS extremely fun. I hope they bring it back in KH3!
