(This RP was inspired by the Silly Symphonies short, Music Land.)

Since near the beginning of time, music has been a crucial part of civilizations and cultures from many walks of life. In the world you’ll be a part of, that is all that exists;

Music.

 

This story takes place in the land of Armonia, a land inhabited by literal music. However, what rules over everything in general is the deity in the heavens known as ‘The Composer’. The Composer is said to  keep Armonia in balance, and it’s said it can be summoned, but nobody truly knows how. The inhabitants of this land are various forms of music genres. The powers and songs that they possess create energy for the land as well as keep it safe from danger.

 

 

Special to all genres is the power of amalgamation.  

 

 

Amalgamation is when two genres merge their powers with one another to create an entirely new form of music, either separately or becoming one whole genre altogether. For example, pop or classical could merge together to create a mix of the two, which would become something like Classical/pop. If two of the same genre happened to merge, they just become way more powerful then they were before. It’s usually triggered by them successfully dancing or playing a song together. The possibilities are endless. Most do it make their powers stronger. However, some do it for other reasons such as representing friendship or affection . Most of the time, genres don’t need to amalgamate, for danger is usually non-existent. But lately, that has been difficult to do so.

 

In the past month, Armonia was suddenly invaded by entities known as the ‘Noise’, and they want to rid the land of all music and sound. The Noise come in many forms, Such as White, Pink, Violet, and Red. They are all lead by the entity known as the ‘Mains Hum’. They all look to be bipedal while their entire bodies look like they are made of static.

 

The types of noise and what they do.

 

 

White Noise:

The most Common form of Noise that is attracted to music. They are the least intelligent, but are able to perform basic attacks such as scratching and biting. With said attacks, they can slightly infect a victim.

 

Pink Noise:

 A slightly smarter form of Noise. They can achieve the forms of other genres by sucking some of the essence out of them for a disguise, but can’t kill them. They can use this to confuse and lure victims into traps. The downside of this is that their disguises tend to flicker and twitch.

 

Violet Noise:

A semi-rare type of noise. They have the ability to speak, and to hypnotize a victim and control them for a temporary amount of time.

 

Red Noise:

Rare, very dangerous, and very smart. They can plan, trick, speak and completely infect a victim to turn them into White Noise or even amalgamate to create something unimaginably corrupt.

 

 

 

It is now the time for genres of all kinds to get to the top of a mountain called ‘Eclatant’ to call upon ‘The Composer’ for help and defeat the Noise and Mains Hum.

 

The story starts out with the genres in a safehouse as they plan what to do and express opinions and their motivations.

If your character is a type of noise, they lurk and hunt for the music.

 

RULES:

Personality/Attitude: She is strong-willed, yet calm in stature. She is very posh, old-fashioned, and often promotes manners and kindness. Ironic, since she has a bias against any genre of electronic music. She can be rather brash at times, a lot like a mother would. She loves the land that she lives in and wants it to thrive.

 

Skills/Talents/Abilities: She knows the ways of a cello, double bass, violin and viola by heart, and adores them and their sound. Here strength in her playing comes from her cello. She is very swell at playing it and can summon it at will.

 

Favourites/Likes: String instruments, roses, Armonia, tea.

 

Most Hated/Dislikes: Electronic music, dirt, whining, hypocrisy.

 

Goals/Ambitions: To keep her home safe from harm.

 

Strengths: Protecting others.

 

Weaknesses: Can't really fend for herself sometimes and often goes on long rants. She usually needs somebody to tell her what to do.

Personality/Attitude: Being an amalgamation with Ambient, whom he loves very much, he has two passions in one. He can seem very youthful and energetic at times, but usually knows when to start acting his age and work hard in a dire situation. He is very curious and observant as well as restless. He can be shy, until someone figures out he's an amalgamation.

 

Skills/Talents/Abilities: Can create ambient sounds with the flick of his hands, and waveforms with a snap of his fingers.

 

Favourites/Likes: Colors, video games, having lots of energy.

 

Most Hated/Dislikes: Indie music, spiders, rain, lack of energy.

 

Goals/Ambitions: To become the best example of an amalgamation there is as well as compose for a game or film.

 

Strengths: Is usually focused, and can make people laugh.

 

Weaknesses: Gets distracted, waveforms may sometimes be too weak.

 

Fears: Being split apart from his other sub-genre, is scared of Dubstep and the Noise.

 

Hobbies/Interests: Playing retro games, socializing, and spreading the word about the joys of amalgamation.

He doesn't act particularly good or bad bot a gray area. He is not above insults and cheap tricks if the need arises but prefers to stay "classy". Occasionally has a bit of a problem when talking to others but covers stuff like that up by suddenly staying silent. Apart from that he highly values the older types of music especially classical and tribal almost as if those were worth more than others. Despite this he likes a servile position being his wish to be a high class butler. strictly follows his moral codex even if it is harmfull to himself.

Skills/Talents/Abilities: Skilled hand to hand (perhaps overly so), really fast and agile, knows plenty about house chores etc

Personality/Attitude: The colloquial for describing one such as Sebastian would be something along the lines of "stickler." He's something of an obsessive compulsive case, frequently engaging in repetitive actions and "setting things correctly." He is a very clean and organized individual, down to his consciousness in his personal grooming and dress, which is probably his cleanest feature. At large, he abides by the rules and laws set down by those in authority, navigating his life based on how he can reform his actions to achieve his goals while still abiding by those rules. Sebastian holds strong to the basic belief that things have a "way" they're supposed to be, and grows rapidly distraught when the world around him does not conform to what he perceives to be correct; even to such an extent that he will spurn any attempts to shorthand his own name; he was named "Sebastian" for a reason.

Skills/Talents/Abilities: For what his quirks and outright inanities are worth, Sebastian is someone that you can trust to hold onto something, as his strongest suits reside in his knack for keeping things orderly and organized. It's an effective guarantee that if you give something to Sebastian, he will hold onto it, keep it safe and get it back to you when he's supposed to. He tends to be very knowledgeable when it comes to things involving strategy and movement of various parts in manners that make for the best effectiveness. Familiar with situations of confinement and the subsequent act of getting out of such situations, he's a great asset to have around when you're in a bind and need someone to come up with alternatives to a plan. Goals/Ambitions: To save Armonia. To become ‘the hero’ one day.
