  1. 1. What is your favorite way to travel between worlds?

    • Gummi ship. Gotta love the tried and true.
      31
    • Corridors of Darkness. Convenience for the win.
      23
    • Keyblade gliders. Nothing beets the epicness.
      36
    • Dropping. Everything else is too mainstream.

    • Something else that I will talk about below.

Literally everything that's not the gummi ships. They're ugly and I hate the minigame (KH2 was tolerable, but KH1 is downright awful in this regard).

Keyblade gliders are cool looking, but if I remember right, the missions weren't very different from gummi ships.

I don't remember being particularly annoyed with dropping.

Honestly, though, I don't think I'll ever really like the world traveling minigames. I won't say they should be removed (I know plenty of people enjoy them) but, I don't care for them.

I think it should be a combo of KH1 and KH2. I like how you can beat it once then fly around in a BBS style but I hate the auto scrolling. I want it to be KH1 type levels but having the ability to move around after without having to replay levels like in KH2. Having a warp gummi works also but I accidentally press normal travel too often xD

I love all of those, but I am a bit stuck between the Keyblade Gliders and Dropping. What would be cool is if for KH3 they could combine the adrenaline of the KH2 Gummi missions, the style of the Keyblade Glider, and the epicness of Dropping, into one badass mother hugger of a travel system between worlds. I think something along the lines of the world maps we got from KH2, BbS, and 3D would be a must, with the routes being selectable like before. And then we would have those epic routes with dynamic flows of action, only with a Keyblade Glider-like style it wouldn't just be a straight up blast-fest, multiple attacks could be used freely like in BbS. Follow all of it up with some crazy dynamic moments specific to each stage and maybe top it all off with a Drop-like section towards the end that symbolizes actually entering the world. That would be awesome, taking the best of each method and combining it into a sum-all that works. Maybe you could either choose to switch between using a Gummi Ship or using a Keyblade Glider, or maybe there could be an option to go as one while the other supports you. Like say you go in as Sora in a Keyblade Glider form, but you have Donald and Goofy backing you up with the Gummi Ship. I would love to see something like that. As for anything similar to Corridors of Darkness, maybe when you use a Save Point to warp out of the world it can have an animation similar to one of those corridors to the Lanes Between from BbS and X. Either way I hope the world traveling experience KH3 gives us tops everything we've been presented with before, but hopefully in a way that integrates the best of all of those too.

I love all methods of travel, but my most favorite are definitely the Gummi Ships!  Specifically in Kingdom Hearts II, where the missions are much more epic, and at times even challenging!  Taking out all the Heartless and Nobody ships with the Gummi Ship has always been a blast, especially in the Assault On The Dreadnaught, which is probably my favorite Gummi Ship Mission of all time!  I hope Gummi Ships return again for Kingdom Hearts III!

Although, I'm not gonna lie, Hero Of Light's idea is insanely badass, and it would be insanely perfect if his idea for world traveling would be integrated into the game! :D

There were no Keyblade Glider missions. You literally just drove to the next world exactly like walking. The closest thing was the racing in Disney Town/Mirage Arena and that one room in Deep Space.KH2 Gummi Ship.Also. I'm a but confused. Wasn't Dropping the character-switching mechanic in 3D? I thought the world-travelling menthod was Diving? Edited by Isamu_Kuno

If you tinkered with the Gummi Ship enough it could be really fun to drive.  Especially because it was (often times in my case) my own creation once I obtained enough parts to deck it out.  Then nothing can stop me from obliterating those Heartless.  HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, H- sorry.

Gameplay wise, I guess Dropping even though I have never played Dream Drop Distance. I just have a vague understanding of what it might be.

Story-wise or so, I guess Gummi Ship and Dropping. Sometimes I imagine how difficult it would be park that huge Gummi Ship in the worlds and Sora is trying to remember where he parked it. I also like Dropping because of how cool and unexpected it would be to randomly drop into a world and not know where you are.
