Neku Sakuraba 88 Posted October 12, 2015 It has become a habit now that the King constantly switches between keyblades now. In Birth by Sleep, it was understandable because he had not gotten into the Dark Realm yet. But when he finally did, he used it as if it was his default. But then in Re: Coded - Surprise surprise, wild Star Seeker appeared! Fast Forward to DDD: Kingdom Key D is back again, once again. But the question I ask is WHY!? If you think you have an explanation or a theory, please leave it down below! Thanks!
Fenrissychros 167 Posted October 12, 2015 Maybe he didn't thought the treat was big enough in Coded to summon his most powerful weapon

A Heartless Nobody 120 Posted October 12, 2015 Why does Sora switch through keyblades about a million times in every game?

In Re: Coded he was in the datascape when he summoned his keyblade, I bet that has something to do with it. I can see that. Why does Sora switch through keyblades about a million times in every game? Canon-speaking, he doesn't. 1 Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) reacted to this
Enix 995 Posted October 12, 2015 I believ the real reason Mickey users Star Seeker in coded and not in KHDDD is because at the time when DDD was being made, Nomura hadn't come up with the idea of Kingdom Key D being Mickey's signature keyblade yet. RikuFangirl2008 1,368 Posted October 12, 2015 Perhaps he uses Kingdom Key D for those really serious fights and uses Star Seeker for those not-so-serious fights?
Psychic_Ketchup 367 Posted October 12, 2015 He had to use Kingdom Key D in DDD. I mean, look at all those D's! Do you see a D in Star Seeker? That's right. 1 Xiro reacted to this

Kingdom Key D was Mickey's signature Keyblade since the first game.
Komali 594 Posted October 12, 2015 I wonder if Mickey could fight with both keyblades at the same time. That would be awesome.
A Heartless Nobody 120 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Canon-speaking, he doesn't. Well then, how the baloney do you explain drive? Edited October 12, 2015 by A Heartless Nobody
Enix 995 Posted October 12, 2015 That makes no sense. Kingdom Key D was Mickey's signature Keyblade since the first game. Then can you explain why he uses Star Seeker in BBS and coded?
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted October 12, 2015 My initial guess is that Mickey switches out keychains, sort of like Sora to create different manifestations of his Keyblade. Why he does it, I do not know, except for the possibility that he switches over to the Kingdom Key predominately after BBS. The reason he probably had Star Seeker in Re:coded was because it wasn't the real world.
KeybladeLordCheeseCurd 1,542 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Then can you explain why he uses Star Seeker in BBS and coded?BBS: He didn't find the Kingdom Key D in the Realm of Darkness because he wasn't there yet. Coded: The threat wasn't big enough at the time. Here's an alternate simple answer: If he wants to use Star Seeker, he'll use it. If he wants to use KKD, he'll use it. Soraalam1 36 Posted October 12, 2015 Maybe he pauses and goes to the "Equipment" menu. 1 A Heartless Nobody reacted to this
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted October 13, 2015 Didn't he need to find a keyblade of darkness for some reason? There has to be a reason he spent the whole first game in the RoD. Maybe he likes to use the different keyblades for different tasks.
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted October 15, 2015 He has the power to wield both so he chooses which is proper for the situation.
