Honestly, I already thought that the 400 dollar price range of the PS4 was pretty okay, but hey, dropping it down to 350 bucks is a pretty square deal!  As soon as I have the money, I intend to buy it right away!

I hear you man, loud and clear. It seems totally unfair to me that in many cases Europe's games are often priced higher (ridiculously high considering that the exchange rate between dollars and pounds is in favour of the pound) and the one reason that all the companies give to justify this? SHIPPING COSTS Kotaku UK did an excellent piece about this problem, and while shipping costs do add a certain extra to the price tag, it's not nearly enough to justify the needlessly expensive games. Especially if you consider that the same game priced with the same figure on both sides of the Atlantic, would cost almost double in the UK. Hence justifying the shipping costs and making more profit than the American counterpart.Or at least this is what I understand, if anyone wishes to better educate me be my guest.

Well explained. And this is why I only buy games that are full price if I no I'll get A LOT of content out of it.

I still haven't bought a PS4, waiting for the slim PS4. or KH3. Whatever comes first.

Getting the slim assures me faster load times, higher storage, and all the kinks in the system UI fixed.

Man. I want to wait, since I waited til the slim Xbox360 came out... But by then all my friends had jumped ship to playstation. The jerks, lol. So I'm not waiting this time.And yeah, I think most people are saying that they can't afford the PS4, not that it's to expensive. It's a subtle difference, but it's there.

Yeah, I agree with you. Most people who complain are people who want to get into gaming but want the latest and greatest console. They can start on a PS3 ya know. Not the end of it's lifespan yet. Also, the PS4 is very expensive in some countries, like mine (Australia), costs like 400 for 500 gigs at the minimum. Games go up to a 100 dollars too.

I think the main reason it's too expensive to me is because there's no games on it that I really want yet. : P

 

But seriously now, I'm glad that they cut the price and I think that $350 is reasonable.  Still expensive when you look at the price that consoles used to be, but I can accept that this is a serious device with so many features that the older consoles didn't have.

 

Having said that, however, it still could be hard for people to save up the money for it, especially if they don't have paychecks of their own OR are living on their own and rely on every bit of their paycheck for survival.  That can be rough.
