Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 22, 2010 My first sigs, title says it all. Any critism would by helpful. (: I'll put some more up soon. If you want to use it, that's cool. ^^
Zexion's_Lover_46 76 Posted August 22, 2010 It won't allow me to open the attached thumbnail file(s). Then again that might just be my computer. Your siggeh is confusing. It just leads you to a site but it doesn't open anything but it would be fun for some people to join that site in your siggeh.
Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 22, 2010 Oh, I meant the siggeh I made. You weren't supposed to click my ACTUAL sig or anything, lol.
SuperPunk 13 Posted August 22, 2010 Its really nice for your first try ^__^ Tip: Gradient Overlays are a biiiiig help with making it look awesome
Zexion's_Lover_46 76 Posted August 22, 2010 Oh, that's what you meant. It's not the best but it's not terrible. I agree with VenRoxKH, it's nice for your first try.
Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 22, 2010 Thank you guys. ^^ I'm working on it, and I'll have more up soon.
Pocket 0 Posted August 22, 2010 It's good for a first try. Maybe add some scan lines ( my siggy is just a gradient with scan lines ) > This is much better then my first Siggy with the Lion Sora 0_o
Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 22, 2010 Thank you for the help. ^^ How do you do the scan lines?
Pocket 0 Posted August 22, 2010 haha Firstly I must Know what imaging program you have ( Microsoft Paint, Gimp, Photoshop , ETC. )
Koko 3,944 Posted August 22, 2010 Too many circles Work with colors and different types of brushes (;
Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 22, 2010 Well, I'd already made a few more, but it wouldn't let me attatch them. This one I just wanted to use that background so badly Tell me what you think! I also tried making an avvy, but it fails epicly. Thanks for all the advice (:
SuperPunk 13 Posted August 22, 2010 Another piece of advice : Try to not let people see the line where the body ends. Like the rest of Kairi's body, Sora's head, Roxas' head, and Ven's body.
Cricket 1,180 Posted August 23, 2010 Well, I'd already made a few more, but it wouldn't let me attatch them. This one I just wanted to use that background so badly Tell me what you think! I also tried making an avvy, but it fails epicly. Thanks for all the advice (: I'm a bit weary on whether or not you created the background for the first image of Sora and Kairi. You need to work on cropping and pentooling, I'm not sure what program you have, but there are tutorials for GIMP and Photoshop out there you could look up sometime. Right now just get the basics going and go on from there, once you know the basics of how to properly crop and download new brushes and etc, then you'll be able to move on. Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 23, 2010 Well, the backround I didn't make. My brothers helped me choose one because I don't know how to create the backrounds Edit: Here's another I made (:
Koko 3,944 Posted August 23, 2010 The renders are completely different so it makes the whole thing look idk. You can barely see Riku. And still wayy too many circles. You can download brushes online (:
Kaiso 2,764 Posted August 23, 2010 I can't really see them, and my computer doesn't like attachments. ._. It's also more user/member-friendly to upload a better view of your signatures to a photosharing website, like photobucket, imageshack, or imagedough since not many people can view attachments or don't prefer to click them. So I would like to take a better look at them, but I can't if they're in attachments.
Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 23, 2010 Sorry about that. I'm trying to upload them to my DeviantART, but my computer's being mean and not letting me. I gave up after a bit, and just posted them in the thumbnails. I'm sorry if that's making it harder for you guys.
Koko 3,944 Posted August 23, 2010 Try imageshack. It's easy to upload it there.
Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 24, 2010 Okay, I will. Thanks Hinako (:
sneezes 73 Posted August 24, 2010 brushes, overlays, gradient maps, blending tools; mostly, try to BLEND. the renders you're using are rather blurry, pixely, and not very attractive. use the eraser tool on a low flow percentage and lightly erase the lines around the body. and text. to be honest, i don't like the text at all. it just doesn't blend well with the picture in general. and like everyone else says, try not to make the lines show up where one end of the body starts and ends. it just messes up the picture even more. try looking up LOTS of tutorials. trust me, lots of practice pays up in the end. i'm not a professional but i'm giving you the best of advice that i've taken from other people and from the knowledge i have so far. don't take my critique too personally. like some other people tend to. Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 25, 2010 Thanks, Jeny (: I also got them up without using thumnails for the next ones ^^ http://lexisparkles.deviantart.com/art/Xion-Lexi-176690882 http://lexisparkles.deviantart.com/art/Kairi-Lexi-176691418 http://lexisparkles.deviantart.com/#/d2x73u0
Koko 3,944 Posted August 25, 2010 They're a little small and blurry Like I've said, use different brushes. All I see are circles Colors are okay. Renders are blurry. Text is meh. They're not completely terrible but there's alot of room for improvement
Protoman 1,974 Posted August 25, 2010 all you seem to be using are three layers Background Text and Render. Try to blend more. Do something EXCITING with your signatures. Get out a brush or two. Download some from DA or whatever. Mess around with the different effects. Its just not working right here.
trixie 1 Posted August 25, 2010 well when i started out trying Photoshop stuff mine came out exactly like that, so dont worry youll get better, just look up tons of tutorials[[;
Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 25, 2010 I'm actually using Gimp, not Photoshop. Thanks~ (: EDIT: Here's a new one. I haven't made any in a bit I think it's a little bit better, though. Thanks for the crit, you guys (: http://lexisparkles.deviantart.com/art/VoCaLoId-LoVe-177553214
