PillowHead 569 Posted October 3, 2015 Hey everybody. Based on the title I'm sure you already know what this is about, but for those who don't... To keep it simple, I just wanted your opinion on if KH 2.8 will actually be a worthwhile experience. Personally I don't really plan to buy it, and I'm not that excited about it in general. I wasn't a huge fan of KH3D in fact I hate it but of course KH 0.2 seemed really interesting when it was initially shown. However, as we've learned from interviews, 0.2 will only be about the length of one world from other games in the series. Given that information, I lost all interest in purchasing it and will settle for watching someone else play it online. But just because I'm not for it doesn't mean other people can't be of course. 2.8 may even be someone's first experience in the series entirely. So what do you think? Will it be worth the price? 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted October 3, 2015 Oh, I most definitely think the game will be worth the price! For one, we'll get a full game in KH3D, and on the other hand, we'll have two new batches of content with X Back Cover and A Fragmentary Passage! To me, it's perfectly worth the price! Now, what I need before the game is a Playstation 4 to play it on!
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted October 3, 2015 i sure hope it's not someones first introduction. may cause their head to explode. personally i'm not too thrilled about paying $60 for a KH game I didn't like, a KH game that adds more harm to the story than good and the first hour or so of KH3. I would have paid $60 for the either of the first two HD ReMIXes honestly. it'd be nice if SE actually left .2 in KH3 so that the people who didn't want to buy a $60 collection can still be caught up on the story. That seems like it would make the most sense. Buying 2.8 now would simply give suckers die hard fans a taste of KH3 before it releases. 1 PillowHead reacted to this
WakelessDream 2,278 Posted October 3, 2015 To be honest I'm not too thrilled about the price and I'm not too thrilled about this collection in general. The hype just isn't there for me. Regardless I probably will still end up purchasing it because I will admit I think it could still be a little fun. While it's not my favorite game in the series, I wouldn't mind replaying KH3D, BBS 0.2 seems like it'll be pretty interesting, and probably the highlight of this collection despite its short length, χ[chi] Back Cover isn't something I'm particularly interested in, but I guess it's still nice to have? To answer your question I think it'll be worth the price only if you want it to be. I'm sure some people will have a blast with this collection, and some may have missed out on KH3D and can now finally play it, I'm sure it would be well worth the price to them. But for me personally, I don't think the price is entirely worth it, for the reasons above, but that doesn't mean I can't still try to have fun with what I'm purchasing. 1 PillowHead reacted to this
Shulk 8,623 Posted October 3, 2015 For me, it's not. I'm not going to get it until there's a price cut. It's just a straight remaster of a game I played 3 years ago, a movie based off of one of my least favorite games of all time, and a KHIII demo. Not very interested. 1 PillowHead reacted to this
iEatKittens 26 Posted October 3, 2015 I'm probably not going to get 2.8 since I really don't like anything about it. KH3D is my least favorite game in the series and I really don't want to replay it. I don't really care for χ[chi], and you can just watch the cutscenes online just like the Days and Re:Coded movies. BBS 0.2 is only a couple hours long and I don't think I'll miss out on much just watching it on Everglow's channel and seeing reviews.2.8, in my opinion, is not worth the price. As Headphone Jack said, the first two remixes were worthier of having a $60 price tag, since they had two full games and a movie, yet they are priced at $40. 2.8 only has one bad game, a movie, and a 2 - 3 hour demo. Not worth. 1 PillowHead reacted to this
2 quid is good 2,209 Posted October 3, 2015 As it stands, when the game does come out for preorder in the UK it will probably be priced around £40-50. For those not in the know that's about $90 more or less. SO STOP YOUR BELLYACHING! However, once a release date is confirmed,I'm pretty damn sure that the preorder price will go down. If not I'll pick it up cheap second hand. 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
Guest Posted October 3, 2015 Well, unlike 1.5 and 2.5, the experience is going to be majorly new, so, if you think that $60/£50 is worth the price of a new experience then yes, yes it is.
Connected 978 Posted October 3, 2015 Compared to 1.5 and 2.5, no. They have more Content.
Wyle 123 Posted October 3, 2015 I can see how the initial $60 is going to turn people away. I'd say after the first price drop, the game would be worth buying; that's assuming the price drop is anywhere from the ~$40 range.

Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) Really depends on how you look at it or value what's in it. If you look at it the way I and some other people do, the chance to have a full-fledged Nintendo game remake on a Sony system is a dream come true, the X movie will help fill in many blanks about the two X games that are not making too much sense yet at this point, and the ability to finally have "BbS Vol.2" in the form of a sort-of KH3 demo the length of an average world story is pretty much the best fantasy that you can think of. With that in mind, being able to get all that for just $60 is pretty reasonable, if not generous. But if you look at it the way most other people do, the fact that you're only getting one full length game that half of everyone else for some reason or another wasn't asking for in the first place (don't know why), another cutscene archive that a few people apparently don't care for about from a side game that is confusing everybody even more, and a new KH game that only lasts the length of one world, demo or no demo, is comparably disappointing. With that being said, compared to the two titles that were 2 full games and 3+ hours of cutscenes to what is ultimately 1 full game with one cutscene archive and one world of new content, some people would feel that they are getting less bang for their buck on this one. I'm not saying I see it this way, but that seems to be the view most other people I have seen have. On one hand most people see it as the final game that deserves to be seen in HD and could use some new content, plus a summary that explains everything we need to know about X/Unchained X, and a well demanded sequel to Birth by Sleep that also serves as a demo for KH3's gameplay. On the other hand people see it as one game that split the fanbase brought to HD because other people wanted it, another set of "boring" cutscenes about another confusing game, and only a small taste of KH3 gameplay when we deserve more. I won't tell you which way to look at it, there are positives and negatives to this. It really depends on the kind of mindset you want to have. I prefer to have a more positive look at it and see it as the other game I wanted getting an HD treatment, more X story that I CRAAAAAVE, and the mysterious BbS Vol.2 I was curious about being turned into a KH3-esque experience (plus, I can't really think up too much that could be used to fill up a whole game around that, it really feels like a one world length experience. Hopefully it feels longer than the Secret Episode tho.). With that much new content in mind, it feels like a fitting conclusion to the "HD Saga" and I feel as though the $60 price point would be fitting for me. Plus, most games run that price anyway, and if this game was JUST BbS 0.2, then it would deserve a lower price, like how Ground Zeroes is only $20 despite being released separately from Phantom Pain. The content just matches up to the price for me. But if you feel any injustices on your end, you should be honest with yourself about what you value more and base your opinion on that. Either way though, that's the price of the game, lol. Edited October 4, 2015 by Hero of Light XIV
