New story update in Kingdom Hearts χ[chi]

A new story update for Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] was implemented on October 1st. Along with a new story update, the annual Halloween event for Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] players has also begun, and to celebrate the announcement of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, players have received a SR+ Meow Wow card.

 

The story update for Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] appears to reveal some interesting details. Such details include what Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series, meant by having Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ not being the exact same as Kingdom Hearts χ[chi], however they are related. Master Ava, the foreteller of the Vulpes union, reveals that Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is part of an opened state, in which Ephemera is conversing with the player from another dimension.

 

In this story update, you will fight Ava and test your skills. After 4 turns in the battle, the battle will end. You only use 1/4th of your strength during the battle.

Two dimensions?! I'm trying wrap my head around it, just to understand the two entities. This is kinda like DDD, when Sora and Riku were separate during Mark of Mastery. But it was revealed of where they really are.  

 

Ok. If Unchained X is the dimension where Ephemera conversing "us" (the player), then what kind of "Dimension" X [chi] is? Why is Ephemera conversing "us" (the player) through Unchained X? Is something bad going to happen in X [chi]? And this is only a means of communication he has?

nomura you should only have had one thing: time travel or dimensions, but not both. 

the plot is going to get toooooooooo confusing after X/Un:X. i'm calling it: the foretellers or Ephemera is going to be stuck in some dimension until KH3 or something.

Either give us BOTH X and Unchained X or don't give them ANY differences between them and let them be the same freaking game! Seriously, this is the ONLY problem I have with the whole thing. Why would you do something to make the stories of the two games fundamentally different when a huge part of your audience can't even access that other part or understand it!? I thought that Unchained X would be what would allow us to be on the same page as everyone else in Japan, but now....just, just give us X Square. Just make it English. >X(

i know that, but there is still another dimension i saw it on the KHinsder forums translation. i was just saying that the series is going to get more confusing after the games are finished. (a bit toooooo confusing)

You do realize that dimensions kinda already existed in KH, right? Realm of Light, Realm of Darkness, Realm of Sleep, the all powerful Kingdom Hearts...Ephemera is probably in the Realm of Sleep, which is basically why he's able to speak to the player and turn into freaking dandelions. He's even there with what appears to be a guy in an Organization cloak.

Which one is the "real" version of the story? X? Does this mean Unchained X is just a fake telling of the story? Are international players only going to get an alternate telling of the story while Japan gets both? Why does it have to be segregated like this? As much as I love the idea of playing it on my phone, now I feel like I need the browser version to get the full story, but they aren't making that available to everyone so what's the point in trying to make them so different from each other? Even Unchained X which is supposed to be a port for those who don't speak Japanese is now a unique game with its own story because it's in different Dimension.

the condition of a person, thing, etc., with regard to main attributes 2 the structure, form, or constitution of something 3 any mode of existence Ephemera is in a state of being that allows him to communicate through another dimension that might be the realm of sleep since he was communicating through dreams.

I'm thinking Ephemera is in the RoS, but that X and Unchained X are not separate dimensions/worlds. If they are, Unchained X will find a way to tell both stories, or Back Side will clear up anything the West needs to know,

I'm curious as to what Unchained, the process, is. It seems to imply breaking some kind of link(removing the chains) out of something, perhaps not being chained to, exclusively, a single dimension. Maybe this would allow Ephemera to find an intersection between dimensions in the dreams?

Unfortunately, this seems to  be a bit vague, but connections to the Realm of Sleep are heavily implied. Also, it's pretty obvious Ephemera, due to his curiosity, will be getting involved with Darkness. That shade was definitely Unknown-3, and we all know who unknowns are! Xehanort(Or some inheritor of Xehanort's Keyblade).

Wouldn't it be Unknown-0 since he's the earliest appearance of an Unknown? Unless he's from the present timeline...then maybe he'd be a 3...I don't know.

 

In any case, I hope that something can work out so that the West gets ALL of the story that Japan is getting, one way or another. I'm seriously tired of being treated like a second child here. XP"
