What is lacking in the kh games, that you want in KH3?

Romance. Yeah, for a game called Kingdom "Hearts" there's little to none. You're using Disney properties Square Enix: they're the trendsetters of romance!Please, give us something to positively tug at our heartstrings.

uhhh... that's a joke right? 

No. The paper face models totally ruin the cutscene mechanic of the game. I want to see full animated character facial structures (maybe a pre made full-body animation here and there, but not 25% of the game) which don't even have to be overdone, just not half-assed in voiced cutscenes. I'm fine with it in text-based cutscenes.

That's not what i meant, the kh shader looks like it won't do that anymore, that's what i meant

Shaders are different from low-poly preset models and animations. The Kingdom Shader just has to do with how things are lit in the worlds' environments in KH3. However, there are copy-and-paste models and animations that Square can continue to use. Surely you've seen something like this:

This has nothing to do with shaders. It's simply that the devs wanna save time by not doing the animating. Which maybe could have helped due to file sizes back on PS2 and DS/3DS but is unacceptable on current gen consoles and PC in cutscene environments.

Yeah i seen that but I doubt the new engine would allow to do that, besides we're not on PSP or a 3DS anymore, there's very little reason to re use that kind of thing

It's not about the engine allowing to do that. Actually, they did to some extent do it to Goofy

You can easily switch out lower or higher poly models in whatever engine you're in. Xenoblade did it (although unlike KH, most of the scenes that had full body motion also had no preset animations), Persona did it, and the like. It's not about the engine: it's about whether or not the devs feel like making an animation for the scene or not.

 

But that's not the point. The point is that the devs shouldn't need to switch in a low poly model and all the scenes should be fully animated with emotion.  This is PS4 and Xbox One. This is Unreal Engine. And I'm already seeing it in Goofy (and hope it stays to just Goofy).

Whoa hold on a sec, i doubt the persona series wanted to do it but that was for budget but SMT has tons of facial animations and looks good, i can't speak for xenoblade but mate it's a trailer, why put tons of effort into a trailer for most who won't catch the detail? you can get upset if they do that in the full game, it will be justifiable at that point

NPCS!  Please SE, I need more npcs; I need to feel like what I'm doing actually matters.  A lot of the worlds (Agrahbah, LoD, CoD, Olympus, ect.) would have been so much better if there were other people wandering around.  Instead, all we get are ghost worlds.  What's the point in stopping Xehanort from taking over if there's no one around to save?  I need more motivation than Darkness=Bad Light=Good 

 

Plus, if there are more npcs, then we can hopefully get more sidequests, and I can never have enough of those! :3

 

Also more Mansex plz!

-Sidequests would be great..somebody mentioned the trinity marks and dalmatians from KH1..I couldn't agree more..I think it'd be great to include more collectibles like this throughout the game..this increases the replay value in a game..i think it'd be cool if they made the trinity marks come back..obviously some of them wouldn't be able to be reached until later in the game, or access to them will be limited by color like in KH1, but to add to it..It'd be cool if there were some for certain party variations..like if at a certain point in the game..they made other characters accessible (lea, roxas, riku, kairi) and the trinity can only be achieved with certain party members in the group..like if it's a paopu fruit symbol your party must be Sora, Riku, and Kairi.. if the symbol is seasalt icecream, then Roxas and Lea will be required..things like that..

-World Specific mini games

-NPC's, as mentioned several times before.

-non disney summons..i don't mean they should scrap disney summons completely.. but if they added some FF summons, i'd be very pleased

-Steve Blum, seriously how is it this series has had virtually every anime VA, Disney VA, & stunt casting celeb VA but no Blum?

I really agree with most of the things this guy says in this video about what Kingdom Hearts 3 needs, especially about having more playable characters such as Kairi, answering more questions in the story instead of adding more confusion and his first point.
